For starters, the staff is friendly, and the customer service was great. However, they don't accept tee times, so when you go to pay for a round of golf, they tell you to go to the first hole and tee off with no structure... literally a group of 20+ golfers standing in an almost non-existent line to tee off. This is a great beginner course, and the driving range is not the most well-kept, but they have a beer garden and a huge TV to watch sports, which is great! read more

Been playing at this place for years. It's a great spot, don't get me wrong. But, for what they charge for a round as well as range balls, and the course/green conditions usually being less than desirable it's a pretty steep price. If you're an occasional golfer, it's probably fine. Just way too over priced for what you really get. read more

Stanislaus isn't a bad golf course although I would say new management needs to learn good golf etiquette and how to keep customers . I have had one younger lady on weekends who is quite short although today I came in a the woman was friendly . I needed two golf carts so we waited our turn , as two came in , they walked in after playing the full course , and then were allowed to take carts once again. If I go to a store and have a shirt pre ordered , you don't sell it when it has been reserved , pretty simple etiquette. I understand courses being lax which is awesome but waiting two hours plus to have gotten a cart so players can go around and around is not correct on management . We used the driving range which is okay but it's quite pricey considering how many holes and lack of good dirt there is to hit off of . Definitely in need of some nicer new staff as well as understanding golf etiquette sadly . Would not come back again after coming here for the past year it's never been a problem , I've seen people on the back end redo courses but if there is a line , you don't allow it to happen while the customer is quite literally 5 feet away watching . read more

I have hit golf balls on the range and got bite by sand fleas??? Please spray yourself. I also played 9 holes with a cart, as I have a bad knee and not giving up!! The cart quit working and had to call to get another cart. Other than that I enjoyed the 9 holes. Putting on the green the greens are great and have a fast roll. It was a challenging for me to putt in,which was fun. It is laid back. I didn't feel rushed. We went at 11:30 and it wasn't busy on the greens. This is a great place if you are just getting into the game of golf. It's a smaller/tighter course that requires some control unless you are planning on hitting in another fairway. There are very limited carts, so if it is a busy time, prepare to walk. It's a small course so the walk is not bad. Driving range it great. The only real problem here are the greens(practice greens too). They aren't really greens at all really. They are very, very thick and slow. It like putting on a sanded green but without the sand. Going from another course to here will ruin your "touch" and will have to killing putts anywhere else. Other than that, it is good for what it it: a course for new/returning players. read more

If your looking for a party spot this is the place . Now they now have an outdoor bar patio where you can drink and they have the music pretty loud .If your into the nice quietness of a gentleman's game you won't find it here anymore. read more

I played this course with my wife and 9 year-old twins this past weekend, and we really enjoyed the course. We'd just had a week's worth of heavy rain, but the course was not boggy except for a few patches near the clubhouse. We started at 3:30 p.m. and had the course to ourselves. We were able to play about 6 holes before we started losing light and cut things short. The holes are efficiently placed, and this is a very easy course to walk. The nicest thing about St. Stanislaus is that most of the holes have a children's tee box located about half-way down the fairway. This allows kids who are new to the game to play a "normal" round of golf instead of starting just off the green. My kids were excited because they "outdrove" my wife and I on a few holes. The greens were in good shape, and most of them are flat - another thing that makes St. Stanislaus good for kids. Prices are reasonable, and children's prices can be as low as $5 if your kids are signed up with one of the youth golf programs. There is a large driving range and a decent putting green. Staff were friendly. My family belongs to a local golf club, and my son has taken lessons at that club. But private courses can be brutal for young children trying to learn the game. St. Stanislaus is a much more forgiving course. The short and straight fairways, flat greens and lack of sand traps make it easier for kids to take chances and try aggressive shots. St. Stanislaus golf course is a decent 9 hole course with a large driving range and a small practice pitching/putting area. The clubhouse is small, no food but they do sell drinks, beer included. The prices are reasonable, $28 for two to walk and play. It's an extra $28 for a cart but the course is so small you would be just wasting your money. The course is maintained well, the fairways are nice and greens are smooth. Majority of the holes are par 3's with a couple par 4's. Not too many hazards to worry about and all holes are straight shots. It's a great course if you want to play for cheap and not spend all day doing it. This is a perfect course to bring your kids who are learning to play, not too crowded and an easy course to learn on. It's cheap, it's close(for me,lol) and great for the whole family. read more

It's a lovely small beginner course. It's not the best kept around, but it is worth the amount you pay. What I am knocking a couple stars off for, is the neighborhood the course is located. You constantly see cars peeling out, house parties, etc. Yesterday we were verbally assaulted and had golf balls thrown at us on the 8th tee from the houses on the other side of the trees/ fence. They threw racial and homophobic slurs at us. Verbally threatened us telling us they were going to "shove our F****** F** golf clubs up our A**" No joke. It made me so uncomfortable we decided to not finish the 18 holes we originally came for. The group of people i was with noticed the house with the people who were verbally accosting us. They noted their look and their vehicles, noticed those people came to the parking lot of the golf course and stared us down. We literally drove home a random route in concern of being followed or assaulted. We have always loved this golf course, try to play here a few times a month. But I dont know if I will be back after this. read more

Great service, very kind lady greated us at the door once my family walked in. Fun for the family and not that expensive for a golfball bucket for their amazing free range. They also have tournaments that are fun and competitive where you can meet other good golfers and learn new skills. For the first time there it was great. 4? You ask? Yes. Service was great ! The young lady that helped me was friendly and welcoming. Easy to get too place but the range needs a little help. Not much just a little on the grass side. However, I will go again and again because it was a pleasant visit. Sun on your face does not really help but I am sure the choice was not there to make it that way. I do recommend this place all the way. Affordable, great little gift shop and nice parking area .. I've been going here for a long time and they have a great driving range. The range conditions could be better at times, but they've just changed hands on who takes care of the course. The course is great for beginners of if you need to get in a short game since it's all par 3's. The staff is friendly too. read more

Bucket of balls too expensive for this little out of the way facility. Putting, chipping and golf course greens are always way too soft. You want to be able to practice on at least somewhat realistic putting and chipping greens. You won't find those here. 2 stars for a good driving range but not worth driving out there given the negatives. read more
