A great time. As someone who is new to golf, I found this to be a nice casual golf course. I played 9 holes and had a lovely time. After checking in, we were able to get two golf carts relatively close to our tee time. It is not crowded at all and is definitely challenging despite the location. The challenging aspects, however, were not entirely intentional. The grounds are not the most maintained. In some areas, the grass is perfectly managed and an appropriate length. In other areas, especially around the perimeter fence and trees, the grass was either patchy, dead, or super tall. There are plenty of hills, sand traps, and obstacles along the way for those people with more skill than me to have an enjoyable time though. There is one bathroom along the 9-hole course - I believe it was around hole 4. You can only access it if you have a golf cart key to unlock it. It was definitely not the cleanest bathroom I have been in! I would love to come back again to golf with my friends (even if that means just driving the golf cart around!) read more

We showed up today and we're told it was $75 per person. They are using dynamic pricing so the price was $20 more than we normally pay. I think $62 is the most we've ever paid. For $75 I expect a cart girl coming around and a Marshall to keep up pace of play. Pace is ridiculously slow. read more

0 star Where do I start?Wouldn't recommend. Grass isn't maintained. You have homeless people and drug addicts walking around the property. Lots of trash around the fence on golf course property. Blankets scattered around the area.Tagging on a few yardage signs. And bathrooms are non existing bc they're locked. Sign posted at clubhouse window saying their times for Last Ball Hit, Range Times, etc. I understand I came in "late" at 4:10pm However the only reason I thought it would be okay was because when I pulled up to the range there were approx. 8 people with a full bucket of balls hitting and another group doing what looked like lessons. I also don't appreciate being called "buddy" when being told the information on the sign. I get he was most likely being cordial, however I don't think that's necessarily professional. A simple "Sorry, Range is closed" was all that was needed. Come back if you want but I will be burning my Creekside golf towel in a bonfire and enjoying Escalon's Range which have trackers read more

i've patronized this golf course before especially to bring my grandkids an my own kids here , father's day is up everyone wanted to be together, 1 time a year i get a little appreciation but hateful employee (female) none of the guys ive ever delt with have been anything but easy to get along with , she came out when we reached the midway point to chastize me an my family for being together , no understanding whats so ever went out of her way to be as horrible an confrontational as possible , any other day i would have delt with that rude employee immediately rather than turning away shes lucky your cart died after being such a bitch anyway we had to stop our round that was paid for course was not well taken care of , but by attitude of worker lady i could understand why the horrible matches not maintained carts die before your done and worker has potential to be as rude as they like unacceptable period they need to change ownership or fire staff an rebuild lame course i don't recommend read more

0 Stars. I played here last week 07/19/24. The fairways are full of weeds and crabgrass. Homeless people walk around the course like zombies. I saw a guy pooping in the trees. The bathrooms were locked and the water fountains do not work. There is trash collected along the fence lines, trees, and shrubs. Modesto needs to do better. read more

Not bad for a public course, but still overpriced. $43 on a weekday afternoon to golf, and that's splitting half of the cart cost. Not worth it for that. Greens were nice, but fairways could use some work. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly! read more

Let me start off by saying this was once one of my favorite local golf courses Unfortunately it's been going downhill for years now. The staff is very rude& unhelpful .They always over book tee times. If you plan on playing at 6 1/2 hour round this is your place . Hopefully the city of Modesto can make some changes. Or just bring back the muni course read more

The kid with the dorky hat working the pro shop is a little prick. Too busy talking to his co-workers to help a customer. I walked out and went elsewhere. Management should find employees with customer service skills. read more

Great spot for golf and nice driving range. It's under staffed so it's managed poorly, expect some type of wait on the weekends

Out of all the courses around Creekside is the easiest but fun to play....the reason for 2 stars...guy in front of me was paying $20 less and the golf "pro" couldn't or wouldn't tell me why or let me pay what he was paying...I know there is golf moose and all that but still $20 more for same time come on man...also they could be a little more friendly read more

Much nicer than Dryden. Wasn't expecting it to be very nice but probably the nicest public course in Modesto.

So, where to begin? First off, I'm giving two stars based on the friendly staff and because this is the BEST course in Modesto. I come here with my husband at least 3x a week. I love seeing the adorable cats they take care of and the cute ducks. Now, I'm 8.5 months pregnant and it is very disappointing and also unsanitary for me when the homeless use their outdoor bathrooms. The bathrooms are dirty, there was urine on the floor, on the toilet seats and also just floating around in the toilet. Does anyone clean these restrooms? Just the other day there was human feces on the wall. The restrooms on the front 9 are dirty as well, no one seems to maintain them and the back 9 restrooms even worse. Spiders everywhere , mosquitoes and smell terrible. The women's bathroom inside their facility when I used it NO TOILET PAPER!!!! I had to use seat covers smh. Being this far into pregnancy I have to use restrooms quite often! Last complaint.... the homeless that use the golf course as a campsite and also a place where they inject themselves visible for us guests to see. It would be a wonderful experience for a change if they had people keep their bathrooms tidy , stalked with toilet paper and clear out the homeless and drug use. I am terrified to bring my 8 year old daughter here to be exposed with such activity. I wish i got pictures of EVERYTHING being pregnant you aren't able to move as quickly these were just a couple of pictures I was able to sort of capture. read more

Decent course. Gentleman that helped us wasn't very friendly or welcoming. I've golfed several courses with my 8 year old junior golfer and have never experienced what I dealt with this weekend. Generally the courses are excited to see younger players and encourage their playing and you can get a sense of that when talking to the staff, etc. NOT HERE! In addition, most courses offer rates specific to the child age- this course does not. They charged as much as a full priced adult even after I explained my son wouldn't be able to play all the holes. I won't be coming back, I'll continue to support golf courses that support youth golfers. read more

Out of the Modesto city courses Creekside is the nicer of the two. With that said it's still a dump. Bathrooms on the course are disgusting and unkept. The bathrooms in the club house aren't much better. The staff is unfriendly especially their head pro lol. The real reason for this post is the shape of the course. It's horrible!!!! The only good thing about the course is the greens. They are ok most of the time. The back tee boxes are weeds and dirt, the fairways are littered with gopher holes and dead grass, and the bunkers are like hitting out of hard dirt. Just recently they raised the price on range balls by 2 dollars. The balls are cracked old and in horrible shape. The range itself is like hitting out of a cow pasture and good luck finding green grass to hit from. If you want to practice hitting out of divots then this is the place for you. I'm local and I travel to other towns to play as often as I can, but if I was an out of towner I would steer clear of this place. They charge way to much to play for the quality of course it is. The only reason I give them such a high rating is because normally the course greens and practice greens are nice. Other than that this course is a dump. read more

BEST GOLF in Modesto! Most affordable, very challenging and always a helpful staff! I have golfed every course in the Central Valley and highly recommend Creekside for a great golf outing. They have a large driving range and chipping area as well as a large putting green to warm up on and plenty of golf carts and pull carts to use. The greens are in great shape and a real test on your golf skills...with the previous (reduced) watering restrictions, they have a few dry spots, although we are seeing this all over the state, so keep them in the fairway and you will have a much better time. This is by far the best muni golf course around when consider condition/shape, pace of play and value. The fairways are in great shape and are cut nicely. They are wide enough to allow for mishits, but not so wide bad shots are rewarded. The rough is thick enough that you are penalized for being in it, but not so thick that you can't get a club on the ball. The greens are large and quick. They roll true and there aren't many straight putts. They are firm but will also hold at the same time. Some of the tee boxes could be in better shape and the bunkers aren't always groomed, but they are playable. There is a large putting green that is nice, but you can't chip to it. The driving range serves it's purpose. This is by far the best muni value anywhere close. read more

Returned to play here again in September 2017, just 2 weeks after the greens were aerated. There was some speed variation on the still bumpy greens, but they were still in very good shape. I would guess they will be incredible in another few weeks. Fairways were thick and sometimes matted (very little driver roll), which made for some great lies for iron shots into the greens. But the bunkers were not up to par with the rest of the course -- fairly hard and filled with something other than sand. Certainly a nicer muni course than Dryden across town and comparable to Rancho Del Rey in Atwater, though better practice area and clubhouse at Creekside. read more
