As part of Doors Open Baltimore, we went for a tour of Silo Point. It was a little difficult to…read morereach, as the State Police had the roads blocked off for Fleet Week. We did eventually find our way there. Vanessa gave us a tour of the building and told us the history of Silo Point. The B&O railroad grain elevator was built in 1923 and was the largest and fastest in the world. By 2003, the property had become dilapidated. The 300-foot tall building was redeveloped into luxury condos. Vanessa pointed out how much of the original grain elevator features they were able to keep. Silo Point sits on 50 acres of waterfront which gives you a 360 degree spectacular view of the Baltimore Harbor and City Skyline. We were able to see the common areas used by the residents and several condos that are for sale. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Silo Point.

We were looking for a 2 bedroom but realtor wasn't interested in directing us to another unit? Location is great. Easy on and off highway access. Parking was interesting possibly could park on floor where unit is. Someone posted on another forum about mold issues and an engineer getting sick. Buyer or renter as tons of questions. Very contemporary units that are large with great light. Hallways are large and very clean.

I lived here for years and it has become worse where people try to break in your condo and your car and the elevators are always at one working the other is always out of order. This is a block away from a string of strip clubs so your going get the traffic the violence and prostitution with homeless people using the building and garage as a bathroom and a place to sleep. This is not for famlies not safe at all. Go to the county you will get more for your money in a safe area to call home. I would rather drive in the city to work and visit than live . 414 Water street is not fit for anyone to live and they rent to anyone . A woman was sexualy assaulted a family robbed and cars broken into and someone is always standing by the exterior elevators asking for you to let them in. You can't walk to the inner harbor anymore not safetly anyways not even in the day time .please take my advise move else where. Real estate agents will tell you the view , the city life the location is the best place to live after all they get commission. I ended up renting my place for a year to find it was trashed . I sold it and took the loss .

If you value your peace of mind....DO NOT MOVE HERE I've…read morelived here for almost 4 years and I'm now having to make the most inconvenient but necessary choice to move out of this building. I would first like to say, my landlord is an absolute gem and my decision to move has absolutely nothing to do with him--but with another negligent landlord with tenants who moved in this year with dogs that they not only neglect, but one of which is violent. Also, these same tenants have the floor that we live on smelling like a dirty kennel as there are several potty stains from their dogs on our floor that have not been cleaned. They also would leave soiled dog pads in the trash room on our floor--which, some days would be left for days. My dog was bitten by one of the neighbors dogs. This same dog has approached my dog before the bite incident, but no one was injured that time. I was told by that dog's owner that the dog "doesn't bite". Well, that's unfortunately untrue. My dog had to get surgery. Her dog suffered no injuries as my dog didn't defend himself against the attacking dog. This same neighbor has her dogs on flimsy leashes, which she nor the other adult living in the unit are able to properly control. They live in front of the elevator on our floor and can be often heard scratching, crying, wrestling each other, breathing heavily at the door--and once the door is opened, one or both are running through the hallway. These dogs don't get walked very often...and I've been told that the owners of said dogs can't be taken on walks together because "they don't get along". The same dog who bit mine, growled at my daughter (who is the one that broke up the attack) days after the initial attack. A few days later, the same violent dog broke out of the apartment and was running through our hallway. The day after that, the occupants of that unit had their apartment door wide open while having an conversation. I escalated the issue to the Property Manager, who told me he would "handle it asap". That was about 2 weeks ago. This past Saturday, I emailed the Property Manager again to let him know that the same dogs and the male adult of that unit were in the hallway and when my daughter encountered them, the male tenant was struggling to put the dogs in the apartment--he puts the dog that we've never had an issue with in the apartment first and left the violent dog in the hallway with my daughter. I've made the suggestion to both the landlord of that unit and the property manager of the building that the violent/aggressive dog needs to be harnessed and muzzled when in common areas. Neither of them have addressed that issue and these neighbors continue to be not only negligent, but very poor examples of what being a neighbor actually is. My daughter and I are now carrying pepper spray each time we leave our apartment. This entire situation has caused me much anxiety as I feel unsafe in this environment as of late--AND it's filthy on my floor now. It has become increasingly dysfunctional during my time here--and it's time for me to move on. This is not the once peaceful living experience I once had. While it's fixable, the fact that none of the individuals who are supposed to be responsible to address these issues are actually addressing them, I have no choice but to move on--and at this point good riddance. The elevator has been broken for month with no repair in site. Maybe once the ONE functioning elevator breaks down (again), they'll send in a repair person. Meanwhile, I've been reporting the smell and stains on the carpet in our hallway along with the dog feces being left by those same negligent neighbors FOR MONTHS and again, nothing has been done. 0/10 would not recommend moving here if you value living in a safe, peaceful and well-maintained environment. 1001 doesn't have it and the management doesn't care.

After not being home for a week, I came back to find one of my video games missing. Being one to…read moreretrace my steps I tore up the apartment looking for it (to no avail) eventually I got annoyed and just went to bed. I'd never turned switched HDMI cables so my tv was stuck on the silent blue screen until I ended up waking. I was woken up by a knock. Since I wasn't expecting anyone (they have a front desk person) I just ignored it and rolled over. Then I hear my front door unlock which completely threw me off. I lie still for a few seconds and no sooner than their foot is over the threshold, I popped up like something out of The Exorcist. The employee (Eric) asks me "What's up man?" I say "Nothing. Just woke up." And I guess the look on my face was enough because he volunteers that "One of my neighbors underneath me had just called with a noise complaint. I tell him "I've been sleep for the eight hours or so. So it definitely wasn't me." He then asks me "You good yo?" and I say "Yeah. Was visiting family but I'm back now" and then he leaves. Now I'm not Batman or anything but it dawned on me to call the front desk and ask which neighbor has called down . He replies "Oh I don't even know. You know I try not to talk to these people unless I have to." This still didn't sit right with me so I come downstairs and the video game that was missing, he's downstairs playing. I ask him "Oh damn. You got GTA too? Fun as **** right? I was having a blast playing but for some strange reason I can't find my copy." *insert therapist pause* He then says "Yeah, it's ard. Oh this is (his brother who works there's) game. The next day I took every spare key I had from downstairs where the front desk/maintenance has access. I let Louis Panos (Thornhill Properties manager), a member of the board who lived in the building, and the front desk supervisor all know what transpired and NO ONE saw to it that anything happened. My landlord didn't change the lock so for the remainder of my time there I just had to hope it didn't happen again. It's for this reason that I cannot recommend this building or any of Thornhill Properties' buildings. I won't even start on my DSLR that was stolen from my godfather's unit when they came to fix his A/C.
