Beware: The building is aging, and management is challenged by the maintenance demands. For example, the front elevator breaks down regularly. The leasing office says, "well, there are two other elevators." We pay $100 per month to park in the resident garage and it is filthy. I questioned management when I moved in. They said it gets power washed every 2 years. It's been almost three years since I moved in and the parking garage is still extremely dirty. There are broken tiles outside the front entrance. These have been pointed out to them several times. To date they are still not fixed. Rent is over $2100 per month for a one bedroom when they add in all the extra fees. I expect better. read more

Be careful: management does not honor the terms of the lease. The lease explicitly promised free on-site visitor parking. Mid-lease, management removed this amenity, began charging $145 for 24 hours of street parking (see attached screenshot), and now claims that public street parking counts as "free visitor parking," which is not what the lease says. When I raised concerns, management dismissed them. Disappointing lack of transparency and accountability. The moment she walked in, she helped get us seated and ready for the tour. She explained all the amenities to us, and gave us a viewing of all the floor layouts we wanted to see. Thank you Autumn for a great tour! Hanover itself is beautiful - it's a fairly new building (think 2017?) that is located in Federal Hill. It's just a few minutes walk from the cute shops at Federal Hill. All the layouts we saw were beautiful. I also loved the movie theatre and the outdoor swimming pool area. Here is my three month review. So far there have been no MUCH NEEDED speed bumps installed in the garage. People drive as fast as they want and you will get tailgated if you're not moving fast enough for someone behind you. And now the first entrance gate has been broken for almost a week. Anyone and everyone has access to the garage. For $50 a month, I would like a safe and secure place to park my car. I feel as though it's only a matter of time before cars start being broken into and possibly stolen. Please do better Hanover. read more

This property has all of the amenities anyone needs to feel at home. The location is ideal and the staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. It's almost like being on vacation at a luxury resort but you live there full time. My favorite part of the property is the pool and fire pit. Amazing modern complex, updated gym equipments, clean complex, amazing maintenance crew that makes sure everything is taken care of. As someone that had the worse experience with other apartments such as spinnaker bay apartments who was way over priced and the cleanliness was horrible, it was definitely an amazing upgrade. One other thing I need to mention is their rent price and how it is very competitive compared to other apartments, specially for the quality, style and cleanliness of the apartment your living in. Lived here for about a year. Great apartment at a solid price. The move out process was less than desired. They had 3 different dates sent to my roommate and I which changed our pro-rated price we had to pay the last month. This pro-rated price was not even posted, they posted the full month and just told us to pay for the days we had on our lease which was very confusing. We didn't know if we had paid enough until a month later when they asked us for more money. Lastly and MOST importantly. They charged us over $400 for carpet replacements when our carpet was still in great condition. When asked for pictures, an invoice or anything else to be supplied asking why this was being charged, they could not provide it. Luckily we didn't have a safety deposit on the apartment or else we would have never gotten our money back even though they actually didn't have a reason to charge us that. Overall a solid experience, except the last 30 days living there and the 30 days after the fact. read more

My time so far at Hanover Cross Street (even in the midst of a pandemic) as proven to be an incredible living experience. The staff is always helpful, the building is clean and well-kept, and the amenities and spacious layouts are unmatched. The high ceilings throughout the building are a complete game-changer as well - you really don't realize how much so until you tour other buildings! When it came time to renew, I reached out to the front office and was immediately assisted by DJ, who worked diligently with me to secure a renewal that worked with my budget and left me feeling excited and confident about an extension. The building itself and the rooms are great - very spacious with high ceilings and all the works. The staff is full of very nice people. The reason for the 2 star rating is the building management leaves much to be desired. If you ever need anything - whether it's a question about a room, about your lease, about a package, setting something up, etc... - you will likely get 0 help from their team. Of course, you hope to never need to use the management team, but something inevitably comes up. If you're looking for a great room + amenities, you have a lot of options in Baltimore, Hanover is one of them. Started living here a week ago and I wouldn't change a thing! The amenities are ultra luxurious and the staff is beyond helpful! They are extremely attentive to your needs and take the effort to get to know you. Some of them live in the same building so they are literally your neighbors! My husband and I chose to live here bc we liked the proximity to downtown but appreciated the peace and quiet. Also, the amenities we get here are almost at an unbeatable price. COVID-19 related review.... Baltimore City went into stage 2 over a month ago. This stage permits indoor and outdoor pools to reopen. Hanover has not sent any updates regarding when they plan to reopen the pool. I find it pretty frustrating because this building is $$$$ to live in. They are willing to have the courtyard open for people to sit in but not the pool deck area??? What's the difference? If the city has permitted buildings to open their pools so why isn't Hanover doing so? Its extremely hot in Baltimore and I selected this building because it has a pool. I could have lived somewhere else for way less money. I feel scammed. read more

I relocated to Baltimore from NY just shy of 3 months ago and living at Hanover Cross Street has made my transition to a new city as seamless as can be. My tour was with DJ in July and whenever I bump in to her, months later, she always checks in. Everyone in the front office is extremely welcoming and helpful - they even organize monthly community events so tenants can meet neighbors. Occupants of the building are friendly and it's not difficult to make new friends if that's a concern for anyone moving to a new city. The building is quiet and you can't really hear neighbors which is a major positive in newer building. The features are beautiful and well-maintained and maintenance requests are taken care of promptly. Couldn't have asked for a better place to live! read more

Hanover apartments themselves are great. Although a lot of the amenities do not work such as the TV's and lighting in the movie theaters. I wish they would get new management already. We moved into Hanover Cross right when it opened and we have been so happy with our choice! The staff is amazing - Eric, Blake and Irina are really friendly, professional and always helpful. The units are very nice with granite counters, stainless appliances, hardwood floors, etc. The amenities cannot be beat: There's an awesome rec area with a pool table and couches to hang out. There are TWO movie/tv rooms which are always stocked with tasty candy for snacking. And the gym has brand new and very nice equipment. The outdoor space has a couple private areas for watching tv outside on couches, multiple grilling and eating spaces, outdoor fireplace, and of course the pool! They even kept the pool open past Labor Day! I love the garage parking in the deck. There is also a slick Luxor package locker system for all your Amazon and UPS deliveries in the mailroom. It is so convenient and safe. The area around the apartment is really changing. We were a little apprehensive when we moved in being close to the stadium area but we have felt really safe. There are off duty BPD cops who work the night security and we've never had any issues. The location is two blocks from Cross St where there are tons of restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are looking anywhere in the downtown Baltimore area. read more
