Last month I visited this thrift store with my elderly mother. When we entered, we noticed a…read more"service dogs only" sign. My mother has a legally recognized service dog in Massachusetts, so we didn't anticipate any issues. We spent about 15 minutes browsing and had items we intended to purchase. When my mother's back started hurting, I grabbed her small dog to help. At that point, two employees approached us in an aggressive and confrontational manner, demanding to know why she had the dog and insisting it needed to leave. The way this was handled was extremely upsetting and, frankly, humiliating, especially toward an elderly customer with anxiety in the first place. Rather than addressing the situation respectfully, we felt singled out and surrounded while simply trying to shop. I ended up taking the dog out to the car, and we left shortly after. Unfortunately, this experience completely overshadowed what should have been a simple visit. Between the high prices and the way customers are treated, I would strongly recommend choosing one of the many other thrift stores in the area. Compassion and basic respect go a long way, and this was a very disappointing experience.

A friend suggested Repurpose/Reuse spot. I went in there, and explained it to the attendant. He found a box of mismatched sockets, and I bought two of them FOR A DOLLAR EACH!! It worked!! The person from Salvation Army told me the date and time when they would pick the gun cabinet and other things up. When the guys showed up to get the items- they stated they would not take the rifle cabinet- which I wish they told me when they called a couple of days before. Also, I have a china cabinet, which they wouldn't take, either. I guess china cabinets are out dated these days- no one wants them. The point Im making is if they didn't want the items I had to give them, they should have let me know. They're pretty choosy about what they'll take and what they won't take.

They also have a good collection of accessories and other little trinkets if you are searching for that.
