I used to love coming to this store in the midst of my young and single clubbing days, and I was…read moreexcited to see that it was still open during a recent girl's night downtown. When the owner Robert, is working, I've always gotten the best service, and he will give you very honest feedback as to whether or not something looks good on you (rather than just lay on the BS to make you buy clothes). Some of the other employees however, just often look bored. The boutique has a very Miami feel to it, and I like the fact that they are open late, so you can wear your new purchase out on the town right away. Perhaps my favorite thing about this store, is that they never get more than a few pieces of the same item. This way, I know that the outfits that buy are relatively unique, and I'm unlikely to see the same dress on another woman. Having said that, they are very trendy pieces, so they don't have a lot of longevity as far as the style goes (although, I do have some purchases that I just refuse to stop wearing). My only complaint about the store is that they target a very specific type of customer. Let's just say that It is much more difficult for me to shop here now that I am in my 30's, as opposed to when I was in my 20's. The sizes also run a bit small, so I know better than to even bother trying on dresses, skirts, or pants. This probably wouldn't even be considered a "criticism" per se, because you can't fault a business for having a very specific consumer in mind. The younger version of myself would give this place 5 stars for the selection, hours of operation, friendliness, and candor of the owner. As someone with an average build, I would be inclined to only give it three stars due to the limited selection; but I decided to go with four, just because I have so many fond memories of fun-filled evenings that started out here.

One kind employee with short hair constantly workong politely keep apologizing as she was like, she treats us like that too. I thought the worker would unlock the door and relock it after i left. There was a key in the door, to keep more customers from coming in. afterwards after the rude "manager on shift" told me "excuse me old slow lady, we are closed and waiting on you!" I just spent quite a large sum of money and the experience was embarrassing unnecessarily and was clearly bc she was in a "a mood" it wasnt just me as other employees kept apologizing as well. Im a frequent customer and that was the rudest, pushy, superficial, fake nice and unnecessary insults for a regular customer. Then I standed outside to contact corporate and owners of the gainesville location. 20 year old young less than kind ladies need to attend manner and class school. Seriously disappointed. The tone was aggravated in her voice. I mis understood bc of a traumatic brain injury and I had surgery in my neck 30 mins before. She needs more intervention and coaching for appropriate social and so to speak bed sign manager. She picked at her under employees. She seems like a bossy hard to swallow "manager" that let it go to her head. Then she laughed as I was apologizing for my misunderstanding for waiting the door to be open as I didnt feel right walking up and opening a door that may have an alarm on it. Some people are kind, accommodating, and try to be nice. That manager is a bully from watching her speak to her own workers. She tells employees rudely to do xyx instead of asking. I as an owner and former business owner am just appalled. If you heard and watched the video she would be let go. She goes "brain injury, RIGHT?" I Said may God and the universe bless you and may you have a better day and hopefully serious social training. She likes to tell people things vs asking. She shows she bosses around people not asking them kindly or even neutral-she grumpy annoyed voice TELLS them what she is ordering to do. I felt so embarrassed for the other employee. And the other customers. She was behind and spacy. its a terrible feeling and look and I plan to put this on gville word of mouth as this treatment to employees and customers is far from kind, appropriate, and good feeling. Retrain her. She needs coached. Also some jobs are just not a good fit for some people. She was frantic angry and all the employees and customers were uncomfortable. They say you remember the way people make you feel. She got a -10/10. -frequent customer since business was opened. I may put this on gainesville word of mouth as it was such a terrible experience, so abnormal, and SO not gainesville. I watched 3 customers leave from discomfort. Its your profits, going down from lack of respect of regular high purchasing customers and all customers. She doesn't like her job. Its all on her face and in her voice. Its just sad. I thought platos in gainesville improved. BOY WAS I WRONG. I may have aspergers autism, but socially even I know I wouldn't want that human on site. Incapable of making your experience nice and seemingly uncapable about not talking poorly about the higher ups, the franchise, and the owners. Just disappointed. Very. Going to put on social media as I know im not the only one she treated that night like that including employees and customers. If she is a manager on duty she needs to come back down to reality and find compassion, class, maturity, and what we customers want is kind words. Not insults and belittling too much info too loud and again so embarrassing for the owners. Its nice to be important however its more important to be kind.

Malgorzata's opened in fall 2011. I discovered this gem just yesterday. If you love art, pottery,…read morehandmade woven clothing, and other artisan gifts, this shop is a must. Toss in extremely friendly & helpful (but not pushy) service by Malgorzata, her husband Jim, & a staffer, and you cannot go wrong here! Malgorzata describes her establishment as "an eclectic gallary and boutique with handmade clothing, accessories and much more." Within its walls can be found artisan gifts of handmade jewelry; unique mobiles & clocks; purses, clothing, scarves and hats; musical wall art; pottery; baskets; and beautiful woven clothing made by Malgorzeta herself. The loom is on the premises so you can see what she's creating. (Malgorzeta has 20 years of weaving experience.) Art pieces on site rotate out so new artists are featured; over 200 artists are represented. If there's something you want, but can't find in the shop, just ask; she's happy to order it for you if she's able. (I am currently awaiting a stylish handbag in a color she didn't carry.) Prices are reasonable for the quality; the vast array of different styles of art are appreciated; & this well lit, spotless captivating gem is so deserving of not only a visit, but many return trips! ....................... Update: If 6 stars were a possibility, I would gladly oblige. I returned to purchase my purse, but decided I liked another color better than the one that had been specially ordered for me. The owner & her assistant were extremely friendly & helpful. Even the customer they were assisting was very outgoing! If you love art & supporting artists; an array of eclectic items; & fair prices, this place is a must. I could live inside this store...& quite happily:) And it's so accessible; it's in Thornebrook on the east side...to the left of Bageland. It's just feet from plenty of parking.
