The dental assitant kept poking at my gums and the cleaning was 10-15 min at most. I cancelled my future appointments and will be reporting her to the Board. Her license expires soon. I came here as a new patient. I waited 2 hours before seeing the Dentist. The dentist is very rude and when I asked if I will be getting a cleaning, she rudely said that I have to make an appointment again because she doesn't do cleaning on first appointment. I waited for two hours for nothing. I made an appointment, after 2 days, someone called me and said that she has to reschedule my appointment to next year. I called my insurance and told then what happened and they asked me if I want to file a complaint which I did. Find a different dentist, it's not worth your time to come here!!! read more

The petty is strong with this one.. Keep an eye on your coverage statements from your insurer..... I had to pay roughly 45% "shared cost" just to get a coverage statement showing they covered 100% of the procedure. Dr Gomez insisted that they had not paid her. It took awhile but, the insurance, myself and her went back and forth a few times till she begrudgingly agreed to refund me my share. With the condition my family not return. read more

Front office receptionist "Alexa" scheduled an appointment for me at 3pm on a Thursday and I added it to my calendar at the moment it was made. I call 3 days before my appointment to make sure my insurance accepted my treatment and confirmed my appointment for Thursday at 3pm. On the day of my appointment I get a call at 2:30pm by the dentist not the receptionist, asking me "Are you still coming to your appointment?" and I responded with "Yes, my appointment is at 3." and she responded with, "I can't see you today, I have another appointment at 3, but I can reschedule you for tomorrow." So there was miscommunication there. There was miscommunication when I made my first appointment and once I get there they told me I was only getting x-rays done first and i have to schedule a different appointment for a cleaning because they said that's how it's done at that dentist. Then there was miscommunication again when they tell me to schedule another appointment for a cleaning and procedure then when I arrive to that appointment I get informed that I will only be getting a cleaning done and I need to make a 3rd appointment for my procedure! This place is just trying to make money off your insurance by making you schedule multiple appointments when these procedures can be done in 1 or 2 visits not 3 or 4 visits. Complete waste of my time. Save yourself from this headache. I wanted to give this facility a chance and disregard it's rating, but now I understand why it's only 3 stars. read more

"My family has been seeing Dr. Gomez for about 20 years. I would characterize her approach as very conservative. She looks out for her patient's best interests in their dental health while not promoting the most radical, expensive treatment. Dr. Gomez is truly very family oriented -- she goes above and beyond to minimize pain and discomfort. She has even called us later in the day after a procedure to check on pain levels. Staff is always friendly, cheerful and flexible when you need a fast appointment or to make a last-minute change in an appointment. Also very insurance friendly. I think their charges are often within the reasonable and customary range. Visiting their practice is like going to an old-fashioned family physician. Have been here four times and each time I say I will give this place another shot to redeem themselves. I will not be giving my business to this Dentist any longer. She continues to be very rude, has no customer service skills. She also touched her mouse, drawers and pens with the same gloves she put in my daughters mouth. Her dental work is sloppy and rough. I have had to be back to fix issues she's made. Staff seems to be different with each visit, always new faces. Not sure how her staff repor is but if it's anything like with her customers I understand why people would dislike to work here. I am a retired dental assistant and I write this with a background in dentistry. I came in only once for x rays, an exam, and cleaning. This office looks like it is struggling so they are doing the least amount of work for the greatest amount of money. They do not take their time with the patients. Their quality of work is subpar and they lack a lot of the proper instrumentation to do a decent job... And for their ridiculous prices. Getting hold of them by phone is never easy. They do not commit to returning phone calls at all. The assistants hired are not registered (cheap temporary labor). Upon being seated, the patient schedule was visible to me (hipaa violation) and I did find an area where blood was not cleaned off the light handle (infection control violation). I've never had a worse experience. Please don't go here. You deserve better quality service. read more

Worst customer service! They lied and said I had 8 cavities and I am good at doing my 6 month check up routine. I didn't understand how in 6 months that happen, something told me this was wrong. I went to my old dentist and sure enough my gut feeling was right. They just wanted to make money and remove my current fillings and replace them when they were completely FINE!!! Norma their receptionist is rude and fake. The moment you tell her you don't want to get something done her attitude changes and starts talking down on you. Absolutely terrible service from the first call. I should have ran and never looked back. The front office is unprofessional and they do not have adequate verbal, communication, or customer service skills. Working in customer service in the medical field has made me very picky of this detail. I called to make an appointment and informed them that I was a new patient. The girl took my information and told me she would call me back after she had checked my eligibility benefits. I did not hear from them after a few hours and finally had to call them because I was eager for a cleaning and check up after removing my braces. A different person helped me and stated that other girl had left for the day. She was able to check quickly and said I was OK to make an appointment (which I already knew) and made the appointment. On the day of the appointment they did not have cash to give me change for a $20 for my $5 copay. They were going to go next door to get change! Inconvenient. Then, when I didn't sign the Notice of Privacy Practices and Dental Materials sections, the girl at front desk kept reminding me to sign it. I told her repeatedly that I did not receive those papers so I couldn't sign. She didn't even know what or where they were and had to go search for them. They weren't given to me in my packet or weren't available at the front. In the end, she ended up only giving me the Dental Materials sheet. I didn't even bother anymore. Then after I while they called me back for the X-rays. Then I had to go back out to wait again to be called in for the exam... Here is where I get more irritated. The female dentist (maybe the wife) is cocky, arrogant, and challenging. All she did was complain about the previous dentist's work, ask me what materials were used, etc. I told her she was welcome to call his office to ask what they used and she quickly snapped, "No, I don't need to talk to him. That's fine." She hinted that all my work had to be redone and I was very firm with her that I was not going to do that. She claimed I had no cavities so what was the point of redoing work??? After she realized that I was educated, she backed off a bit. They started asking way too many questions about my medical history that I wrote on my history sheet but that was not relevant to the exam. I should have just left them off completely. They were asking me out in the open - the exam room did not have any doors. The patient in the next stall and anyone else walking around could hear everything. The assistant and dentist just wanted to be nosy and I could tell it had nothing to do with my exam. I started getting pissed. HIPAA VIOLATIONS EVERYWHERE!!! They are lucky I didn't report them. I didn't even get a cleaning that day. The dentist said I needed a deep cleaning/peridontal treatment. I don't have bleeding gums but agreed to it because I'd rather have the thorough cleaning. My insurance charges me $140 for it. But of course, the office girl that handles that left early. So they called me 2 days later with the price... OVER $820!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost fell off my chair. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. WHILE IT LOOKS VERY CLEAN AND UPDATED, THEY ARE GHETTO, UNPROFESSIONAL THIEVES. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! read more

This is the best dentist in town. I am a Cancer patient and my dentist Dr Gomez took real good care of my teeth she did a deep cleaning before my surgery. She made sure my teeth and any build was gone so that I wouldn't get any infections. Not only did she do this ,1 year later she remembered my my anniversary of being Cancer free. She decorated the front office, had 2 cakes for me and had the station were I was going to get work done total decorated. Only doctors and staff that care do this! I actually signed up for Yelp just to be able to write this post. On 8/25/14 I had an appointment for a standard teeth cleaning and x-ray. Everything went fairly smooth. X-rays were taken, but I was unable to get my cleaning until I submitted a doctors release (kidney transplant). I returned the release on 8/25/14 (same day) and as 9/8/14 I had not heard back from them. When I submitted the release they said that the schedule would be checked and that they would call me. When I called today I was placed on hold for 6 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and I informed them that I was hung up on after waiting for 6 minutes. They were rude and extremely unprofessional! They did not offer an apology! She asked me for my name and then told me that they were waiting on medical clearance (??????). I explained to her that I submitted it on the same day that I originally came in. She stated that the office manager would call me and schedule my appointment. What she failed to realize is that there are many dentist that are professional and courteous to their patients. When selecting a dentist we all have choices. I do not believe that I will be going back to this office. I'm going to call my provider and change dentists now. Unsatisfied customer! read more

I felt they told my wife and I we needed more dental work then we actually needed. For instance they told my wife she had 14 cavities. I went to my old dentist and they told her it was 4 cavities. We also requested x-rays and they were $20 each and were simply paper copies. I decided I would go back to my old dentist even though it was much farther. read more

Unbelievable bad service. A weeks worth of messages go unreturned They don;t even pretend to return calls. I made an appointment, showed up early and sat in the lobby for 45 minutes. Saw the dentist. I was supposed to get a crown. I sit for another 30 minutes. Front office staff comes back to tell me my appointment time is up. No treatment, I must reschedule. They can't do anything today because they are too busy.(I only ever saw a single other patient) Then Their excuse is that they don't have my insurance fee schedule. I offer to pay cash. They refuse. I call my insurance provider who insists they sent the fee schedule. Bottom line is that the Dentist had a surgery scheduled and she was running late. Dentist was arrogant and insulting. I had to argue for 20 minutes to get them to glue the broken crown back on. I'll wait until the 1st of the month until I can switch dentists, broken crown or not. read more
