On my recent visit to Courtyard Dentistry, I experienced what I can only describe as The Jetsons of Modern Dentistry! I went in to have a crown made, and the entire process--from start to finish--was completed in just two hours thanks to their state-of-the-art technology. In the past, getting a crown meant a long, tedious process: tooth preparation, messy putty impressions, shade matching, a temporary crown, and then waiting at least a week for the dental lab to make the permanent one. That meant two or more visits and plenty of inconvenience. At Courtyard Dentistry, that entire process has been transformed. After my tooth was prepared, detailed radiographic images were taken and transferred digitally to a milling unit right in the office. The crown was designed, created, and ready within nine minutes! Watching the machine carve and shape my new crown felt like seeing the future in action. Once the crown was made, it was checked for perfect fit and shade, then placed in a specialized oven at over 1,000°F to harden and strengthen it. After cooling for about ten minutes, the crown was adjusted, fitted precisely, and cemented--all during the same visit. This modern process is not only faster but also fascinating to watch. I genuinely learned a lot from the team as they explained each step. The entire experience was efficient, educational, and--most importantly--comfortable. The office is located on the second floor of the Claremont village plaza - take the stairs by the elevator and make a right. I have been going to the Dental office of Dr. Seccombe for many years. I had a hygienist there, Cathy, whom I dearly loved. Dr Seccombe retired, as did my beloved Cathy. Transitions are tough. Mixed experience. Cleaning was good but there was confusion and a lack of clarity when it came to billing for Invisalign. There was a delay in ordering and we missed an insurance date. I ended up stuck with a very large bill. The issue that really irked me was their poor communication and condescending tone. Also, when I had my Invisalign attachments removed they left some of the residue on my teeth and I don't feel comfortable that I can trust them. I'm sure they'd say it's all my fault. read more

Dude bought courtyard dentistry from my retiring dentist and sent me a bill for annual cleaning X-rays which are always free due to my double insurance. Then they harassed me about an appointment I didn't want and billed me a no show fee. Word is this guy's not that great unlike his predecessor so I'll be moving on. Great experience! I went for a cleaning. Alma made booking the appointment so easy and convenient! They confirmed my appointment the day before via text! I got there and it was very welcoming! Alma was very kind and checked me in! The rest of the process was very smooth! The hygienist was incredibly thorough and asked me if I was comfortable or not to make the experience better! I cannot recommend Dr Gih and his wonderful office staff enough. Alma has been very helpful and even recently informed me of a special they have for an exam, cleaning and X-rays. I don't have dental insurance. I used to see Dr Gih when he worked one day per week at another dental office in Pasadena. I saw him here for a cavity in January. Yes, I braved rush hour traffic from Pasadena just to see him as the office in Pasadena where he saw me seems to longer be able to accommodate patients in a timely manner. I'm glad I was able to find him even though the drive to see him isn't really fun. Especially with today's gas prices lol. But it's worth it. They are open M-F. And they are open one Saturday per month which works great for me and others who work FT during the week. Thanks again Dr Gih and staff! At my last appointment I came in for a cleaning and was set up with Lisa. She was very easy to get along with and made the cleaning a breeze. Admittedly, when you see where his office is located, your first instinct is that this will not be a cheap visit! Let me tell you, whether you're paying out of pocket or going through insurance, Dr. Gih is one of the most reasonably priced dentist out I have ever met and his work surpasses any dentist I have ever gone to in my entire life. Had a horrible traumatic accident that led to my front two teeth being chipped. Made an appointment with Dr. Gih and it was the best decision ever! I felt safe coming into the practice because all staff members were practicing great physical distancing and really took COVID precautions. I had my front two teeth filled and he really took the time to color match, shape, and perfect my teeth. Frankly, it looks better than before my injury.
