First visit was with Dr merchant and it was a good experience. Periodontal maintenance and deep cleaning was recommended so I signed up for that with a yearly subscription. Follow up treatments have been with a different dentist and I never received any updates regarding my progress. The biggest issue is that I wrote an email expressing my concerns about the lack of communication regarding progress towards the treatment goal. The response I got did not address any of that, no mention of a dentist reaching out to discuss my results with me. Why recommend a treatment plan if that plan is never followed up on? read more

I have been coming to Phillips Ranch Dental (PRD) since the 80's. I moved out of California in the 90's, but when I moved back to the area, I came right back to PRD! At the beginning of this year, and out of convenience to where I live, I went to another dentist, WRONG DECISION!! Last Friday, while eating a piece of beef jerky, my front crown came off! I called PRD, after hours emergency, and Dr. Merchant answered the phone. He was so sympathetic to what was happening. Unfortunately, PRD is not open on Saturday, however, Dr. set me up for a Monday morning appointment and just in case I couldn't wait, he also recommended the name of a dentist I could go to that was open on Saturday. Nice and clean clinic, also offers free refreshment and WiFi. I like there, but one friendly reminder for the doctors and owners to notice: please train your staff members on proper hand hygiene procedures. I work in healthcare, we enforce hand hygiene training every year to all employees. I noticed the PA touching inside my mouth and teeth and then operate the computer and other equipment without changing gloves. If this is a common practice, the computer is badly contaminated. Wearing gloves is not only to protect her hands from patients' fluid, more importantly to prevent transmission of diseases among patients. Please help resolve this issue, otherwise this nice clinic's professionalism is severely impacted. read more

This dental office is exceptional. I have serious trauma from dentists over the years. Even in the intake forms online before your first appointment, they ask what they can do to make you feel more comfortable and give you options like requesting music, or the lights to be lowered etc. I've never met a nicer staff, and I'm just so impressed with how they go out of their way to provide such excellent care in every way. Most importantly, my dentist took so much time to discuss with me any issues and options, and his recommendations were significantly more helpful than dentists in the past.
