I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but after my experience with Dr. Nazari and the team at Dental Arts Practice, I felt like I had to. To be completely honest, I had avoided going to the dentist for much longer than I care to admit. Like a lot of people, I had some deep-rooted anxiety around dental visits--past experiences had left me feeling judged, uncomfortable, and even a little ashamed. So when I finally decided I had to get my dental health back on track, I did a lot of research and read a ton of reviews before making the leap. That's how I found Dr. Nazari--and thank God I did. From the moment I called to make the appointment, the experience felt different. The front desk staff was so understanding and patient when I explained I hadn't been in a while and was a little nervous. They didn't make me feel bad or awkward about it at all--instead, they reassured me that I wasn't the only one and that they'd help me through it step by step. When I arrived for my visit I was so nervous but the warm, calm energy of the office--and the incredibly kind dental assistant who greeted me--really helped put me at ease. They walked me through everything in advance, checked in with me constantly, and even let me take breaks when I needed to. Dr. Nazari himself was incredibly gentle, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. He explained things in a way that felt clear but never overwhelming, and you could just feel that he genuinely cared about making the experience as stress-free as possible. I especially appreciated his attention to detail in prepping my root canals for temporary and permanent crowns. He took the time to get everything just right, carefully preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible while ensuring a precise fit and seamless, natural-looking aesthetics. And it wasn't just about the procedures. I had a lot of work that needed to be done--some of it overdue and complicated--but they never made me feel bad about it. Instead, they worked with me to come up with a treatment plan that was manageable in stages, both physically and financially. They took the time to help me understand my insurance coverage and even helped with scheduling so I could fit things into my already hectic schedule as a Mom of five. But what really sealed the deal for me--and proved just how exceptional this practice is--was when my young daughter had an accident and fell, nearly knocking one of her permanent front teeth completely out. Dr. Nazari saw her right away, calmly and gently examined her and was able to save the tooth. He talked us through everything, gave her the kindest care. I will never forget how they treated us--with urgency, compassion, and real heart. The level of care, kindness, and patience I received at Dental Arts Practice went so far beyond what I expected. Every single person I've interacted with there--from Marie at the front desk to the hygienists and to Dr. Nazari himself--has been nothing short of outstanding. If you've been putting off dental work because you're scared, overwhelmed, or worried about being judged, please give this place a chance. Truly, they are literally LIFE CHANGING and let us tell you why: When we walked in the office for our first appointment a year ago, we were received with the warmest hospitality any patient can ask for - especially after not having the best experience at an other dental practice. Marie, Joann, and Nadia are usually the ladies working at the front, and on every morning when we walk in, they greet us so kindly. They know a ton about Dentistry and dealing with all kinds of patients. Shout out to them for being rockstars!! Ben & Monica are Dr. Nazari's dental assistants. They always make us feel welcomed, they know what they're doing, and are great at communicating with us, doc and each other - Very important especially as a doctors' right hand. Now, Dr. Nazari is without a doubt the best doctor you will ever meet. Not only is he extensively knowledgeable and experienced - as he teaches at the University level - he is very kind, warm, and welcoming. Little by little, he is changing my life. I came in with metal fillings, a need for deep cleaning, multiple crowns, bone graft and 2 implants. So far, we've gotten most of the procedures done, and now they are just working on the final implant. I can smile more comfortably now!! The doctors here are AMAZING!The ONLY thing I did not like is the office managers attitude JoAnn Garcia. Not only did they make me feel and think they were talking about me but the girl who was there today sitting behind Marie (assuming it was JoAnn from the email she sent me and if she wasn't the one then why would she respond like that ) had ATTITUDE, her eyeroll and sarcastic smirk made the whole vibe and experience sour. I went to ask Marie a question then the girl in the back jumped in to answer the question with an attitude and a foochy face. A friend recommended this spot and I was extremely happy until this visit. After spending THOUSANDS of dollars here in LESS THAN A MONTH, this is the email I received from this review I just left. Apparently they don't care or value their patients enough, they just drop them. "At no point did I allow your demeanor to impact our practice." what outburst?!. This so called office manager JoAnn Garcia NEEDS BETTER TRAINING and should be learning how to speak to patients before she mistreats the wrong patient and they sue this company because of her. He has to be one of the best dentists on planet Earth! I avoided Dentists for 20 years. My sister is a dental insurance adjuster & recommended this dentist because he does dental implant surgery. My front teeth disintegrated on me and my appearance is very important to me. From day one I knew this dentist was different. Top of the line equipment, knowledge & expertise, and they care. His entire staff is beyond attentive and experts at what they do. He is a perfectionist. He demands the same out of his staff. Dr. Nazari and his staff were amazing. I was very scared about the massive amount of dental work I needed done. They worked with me to make the process less intimidating and always made sure I was comfortable when it came to the dental work itself. I was referred to Dr. Nazari from a friend who recently had implants and I would absolutely refer him to anyone who need implants. My entire family now sees him for implant and regular dentistry needs. Dr. Nazari is a perfectionist and when you are paying for a service, I greatly appreciate his attention to detail. TLDR; Make sure you are aware of what you are being billed for. Laser treatment I was recommended and told was optional was a service that most insurance policies do not cover. I was turned away as a patient because I declined the service and refused to pay out of pocket. - It's a shame that I have to write a poor review, but I have never had to jump through so many hurdles just to get my teeth cleaned. My first visit with Dr, Nazari was great. He was well-spoken, kind, and knowledgeable. He identified a lot of things that I had already been concerned about and gave some suggestions on optional treatments. Since there was nothing urgent that had to be done, most of the suggestions were preventative. My main concern was getting a deep clean, so before leaving, I requested the front desk to send me a quote that I could review with the deep clean and another quote with the laser treatment should I decide to proceed with it. Once I received the quote, I connected with my insurance and went over the charges and dental codes. Since I was told the laser treatment was optional by Dr. Nazari, I did not want to proceed with it as it would have been an additional $480 out of pocket. I called the front desk and stated that I only wanted the deep clean and they said that they would not deviate from the doctor's diagnosis and refused to see me as a patient unless I accepted the full treatment. I was quite shocked as I have never been turned away for refusing OPTIONAL treatment. In the search for a new dental office, I requested a copy of my records and x-rays that they refused to send me unless I paid a $25 fee. Knowing that this is not typical protocol when it comes to dental records, I reached out to insurance. They were able to mediate with Dental Arts Practice billing and advise that I should not be charged to receive my records when they are refusing to see me. I really thought I had stumbled across a great practice, and while I still think Dr. Nazari could've been a great dentist, I felt scammed and taken advantage of for services that simply weren't necessary. I wish there was a bit more transparency and honesty in the whole process and I hope this doesn't happen to any other patient. read more

I've had so many terrible dentists before coming here and I'm so glad to say I've found one for life! I will not be going anywhere else. Dr. Nazari makes me and my husband feel comfortable, he makes sure we understand everything that's going on, and his whole staff goes above and beyond to do that as well. We are so happy with their services and every time we've been here whether it's for a normal cleaning or a cavity, it has been very painless and easy. Dr. Nazari saved me from having to have a root canal! I used to go to a dentist that filled one of my cavities with stuff that disintegrated and it caused my tooth to hurt so bad. They told me I needed a root canal. I came to Dr. Nazari and he told me that I don't need a root canal if I'm not unbearable pain. This review is a reflection on D.A.P's TERRIBLE billing and dental fees practice. I met with Dr. Nazari, who was wonderful and helpful in my consult visit. His proposed dental action plan and follow up with a Periodontist was scheduled, based on his recommendations. He took his time and was very thorough in his explanation of issues. Unfortunately, things go south from this point forward! I had to pay $160 for a consult visit with the periodontist on my first time visit which should have been covered through my insurance as initial consult with specialist! I spoke to my insurance (United Concordia PPO) and was told that initial consults are paid by them and no deductible should have been charged! I got scammed on that one!! After getting an initial consult with their periodontist, I was given an $11K proposal fee (four dental implants and oral surgery of lower left,right mouth) and saw that many services should have been covered 80% by my insurance (I need four teeth extracted and oral surgery of entire mouth). I requested a predetermination approval from their office and Marie the office manager became reluctant and defiant in doing so!! All this with the excuse they would not approve me for oral surgery because I didn't have a history of deep cleaning on file and approval with insurance would take 6-8 weeks (they wanted to charge $4500 more out of pocket!). I emailed the office for a specific predetermined service request and was not able to get them to send it to insurance! Instead I was asked via email to give them the insurance member number and person I spoke to! Seriously?! Like they can't get the number on their own and call?! I didn't even bother with a response and looked elsewhere. As it turns out I found a specialist in Pasadena who will do dental implants and oral surgery of my entire mouth for 4K less than this place, using my insurance!! Wow, I would have been scammed quite a bit had I stuck with this dishonest place! Take your money and RUN from this place!! They want to charge YOU directly instead of through insurance to make MORE money!! read more

I am impressed. All of the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, they were kind and explained things to me so that I understood what was going on. My teeth have never gotten such a good cleaning. I have a small jaw and I usually leave the dentist after a cleaning and can still scratch plaque off of my molars and wisdom teeth. Not this time -squeaky clean. I asked for a second opinion on some work that my previous dentist wanted to do but I was not comfortable with and Dr. Nazari said we would watch it but didn't jump in to make a quick buck. I highly recommend this office. My coworker is deathly afraid of the dentist and she comes here because they put her at ease. read more

I've been going to this practice for over 20 years - before Dr. Nazari - and it has always been a wonderful office with friendly, outstanding staff and the best quality service. Dr. Nazari has brought an even higher level of quality to the practice! What really stands out to me, though, is how they helped out a young man (college student with a family) this week. He told me about the terrible pain a tooth was causing, how he needed to get dental assistance, and how he couldn't find anyone to help at a price he could afford. I called the office and Alicia (sp?) told me how they could help. I passed on the info to the man, and he said it was the best offer he'd heard. He was able to see Dr. Nazari that same day and received the best care. He is so happy, pain-free, and grateful, and he told me he will continue to go to Dental Arts Practice from now on!
