Dr. Chang is a great dentist. He is gentle, professional, and takes his time to explain everything. I am so thankful to have found a great dentist close to home. I had a deep cleaning on one side of my mouth at another dentist. It was done by a hygienist and my mouth was sore for a whole week after! I was so traumatized I didn't go back for the deep cleaning on the other side of my mouth. Dr. Chang completed the deep cleaning for the other side of my mouth and the next day I felt back to normal. Dr. Chang is also extremely skilled. At previous dentists, they typically had to administer 6+ numbing injections for it to be effective. The previous dentists always blamed me for having high tolerance. Dr. Chang is able to administer just one numbing injection for it to be effective. He explained that each person's anatomy is different, so the location of the injection is different for everyone. Dr. Chang and his staff are also very professional. Mariana in the office is great! They respect each patient's time and I never have to wait long. read more

From receptionist, assistants, doctor, everyone is kind, welcoming, and most importantly for me is that everyone explains everything - no surprises. Everyone is also very patient. We had a great experience at LemonCreek Dental. We were looking for a place that took our employers insurance (Blue Shield HMO and Anthem BCBS PPO) and stumbled upon this place. The dentist was very mild mannered and gentle and checked in frequently during cleanings and fillings. The front desk and dental hygienists are also very kind and friendly. Dr. Kai and the entire staff at Lemoncreek Dental is super kind and helpful. It's my first time in 2 years to receive any type of dental work and I'm so glad I came to them. I got my exam, x-ray and cleaning done here and Dr. Kai was very thorough and gentle. He explains everything he's going to do before he does it so you don't feel scared. He also didn't push for any unnecessary procedures and everything was extremely affordable even without dental insurance. When I started going here, I realized that I was indeed being upsold at another dentist in Walnut. The doctors at Lemon Creek are very honest and transparent. They explain things to me in a very personal way as opposed to a condescending Sale pitchy way which is what I experienced at my previous dentist. In fact, I came to Lemon Creek for a second opinion regarding a $2000 procedure that was proposed by my previous dentist. Lemon Creek said it was unnecessary and saved my thousands of dollars. It makes me sad to have to write this review. I really wanted to like this dentist. He's very nice and has good bedside manners. But there were a few things that didn't sit right with me. 1) I got a second opinion on everything he recommended. And according to the other dentist I didn't need any of it. I will be going to a third to confirm. 2) He has a sign in his office that asks for a 5 star review. They give you a discount if you write a review. I needed a root canal retreatment, found this place on Yelp, decided to give them a try because their initial consultation was slightly more affordable than the other places I called. From first phone call to the last day of appointment, I had nothing less of a great experience. All the staffs were super nice and friendly. Had a miscommunication with the front desk on the first day of appointment but they handled it professionally (I couldn't be more thankful for not making my day any worse). At first I thought I had to go to a root canal specialist for my case but Dr. Chang was very knowledgeable and able to take care of it. The root canal procedure itself was painless. Dr Chang and his assistant were super sweet, explaining what he was doing, what's coming and kept checking to see if I was okay. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend this place for everyone with dental needs. read more

Dr. Chang performed a root canal after one of my old crown fell off to expose a badly decayed molar. Dr.Chang recommended an extraction or a root canal. We discussed the pros and cons of both but Dr. Chang did not try to pressure me into opting for the more costly procedure (root canal). The decision was to do a root canal. The procedure lasted about 2.5 hours and it went extremely well. Except for the minor discomfort of being fitted with a mouth brace to prop It open for the length of the procedure, the root canal was pain free. i received a new crown which he mated perfectly onto the tooth site. I am completely satisfied and happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Chang. He is assisted by a capable and friendly staff of trained technicians. read more
