He is very honest, patient and kind I love how he is LOVES HIS JOB HE IS VERY PASSIONATE & very attentive and always looks out for the best interests in others. Clean office and staff very flexible and the care about their patients HE ALSO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN REMOVING TEETH, !! This review is for the reception staff. I was not seen by the dentist here, so I am not reviewing his services. However, I have never seen a more unprofessional front office staff at a business before. I made an appointment over the phone to see the doctor for an exam. When I scheduled the appointment, I gave the receptionist all my contact information and my insurance info. A few days before my appointment, I get a phone call from a relative who has a similar name as me late in the evening letting me know that this office called my family member asking whether I was willing to change my appointment time. My relative told the receptionist I wasn't there, and the receptionist proceeded to discuss the details of my appointment with my relative. This is a huge breach in confidentiality and extremely unprofessional. I was absolutely furious that this staff member was discussing any details about a potential appointment and examination with a person other than myself. I immediately called the office and told the receptionist that I was shocked and appalled that this occurred. I did not tell her my name, just what had happened. Her immediate response was argumentative, saying that my relative's name and number was in my file. I knew right away this was a lie because I had not set foot in that office yet, I did not give out someone else's contact info to them, and I know that my relative who was called is actually another patient's emergency contact. I understand mistakes are made, but this was a violation of my privacy. If this basic information is given out to the wrong party and mixed up by the staff, what will they do with more detailed medical information? I told the receptionist this was wrong and that she was telling me false information. She adamantly denied this. This violation of confidentiality and trust bothered me so much that I will not become a patient here, and I have sought dental services elsewhere. I believe patients and potential patients should know that the staff is careless with personal details and that they are not sensitive to confidentiality. read more

I can't say enough good things about Walnut Valley Dentistry. Hubby and I have been coming here for over a decade now, and only knew about Arthur because one of our friends (and their family) go to him for their dentistry needs. In the past few years, we've recommended Arthur to both sets of our parents, and any friends that are somehow in the area. Overall, everyone's been happy with him. He's done multiple check-ups, deep cleaning, and a few root canals for us, and has always been professional, calm, and as gentle as possible with each task. He is very understanding and has been able to make some of the more grueling procedures (e.g., crown replacement) be as least-painful as possible. The hubby, myself, and both sets of our parents have had horrid, scarring experiences with other dentists, and it's been a complete relief to be able to go to Arthur. I wouldn't say that I look forward to going to the dentist, but at least I'm not cringing too much any time I need to go in. I've had different dental insurances for the long years I've gone to Arthur, and he's been able to accept all of them (e.g., Metlife and Cigna). Of course, depending on the dental plan you chose, it may not cover certain procedures, but Judy and Arthur (and Phyllis and Claudia) have helped in keeping us informed. There were a few occasions during a checkup where I may have had cavities, but not know about it until I'm checking out. I've now learned to ask Arthur and Judy prior to getting out of the chair to see if there are any issues. Overall, again, very happy for this dentist practice! read more

Dr. Wu is a great dentist; he took so much care and effort in removing my wisdom teeth, being cautious not to injure the nerves or cause any unnecessary damage . One of the teeth were greatly impacted in my lower jaw, with roots wrapping around a nerve, so it was a tricky and potentially dangerous procedure; damaged nerves could cause permanent facial paralysis, so great care had to be taken. From what I know, many dentist prefer to knock their patients out during extractions like this, or other extensive surgeries. This allows them to dislocate the patient's jaws, giving them more working room, speeding up the procedure to jump to the next patient. One of the down sides to dislocating the jaw is potential joint damage, leaving chipmunk-like swollen cheeks for many days. The other more serious issue is that a completely knocked out patient cannot signal the dentist of any problems or issues. The dentist would not be able know if there was any nerve damage, due to the patient being unable to respond. From my research, the best practices are to have the patient awake and responsive during the surgery. Dr. Wu doesn't usually knock patients out, unless it is absolutely necessary, so I was conscious throughout the entire lengthy procedure. That was not by any means pleasurable experience, but I am extremely glad I did. There were only a few minor cuts and stitches needed, and I was completely healed up in about one week or so. With my wisdom teeth removed, I can now eat chewy foods again without cringing in pain, so a big steak was my reward as soon as I could eat again :D read more

Doctor Wu is a great dentist! He is very informative and kind and is wonderful with children. He was somehow able to get my 2 year old to sit through numbing shots and getting his dead/busted front tooth fixed, without a single tear. My kids look forward to going to the dentist. I highly recommend coming here and disregarding the one bad review. That person's review is totally off and not something that I could imagine happening at this office. read more

This is the worst dental office I have been to. I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and a check up. The cleaning only took like 10 minutes!! All Dr. Wu was do some half ass cleaning doing a few scrapes here and there.. And then he has his assistant do the glossing which was so freaking half ass. She also "flossed" my teeth.. Ok I don't consider it flossing when she puts the string in the middle of my teeth and not touch anything. Worse floss job ever. After this stupid cleaning, Dr Wu checks my teeth for cavities and he is naming like 6 cavities!!! It is fine if it's accurate but it gets worse .. After this Dr Wu just leaves without telling me what's happening next. The assistant takes me to the X-ray room. I expect after they take the X-ray, Dr Wu would come back and explain to me what we see in the X-ray and show me my cavities.. But no.. That is the END of my appointment with Dr. Wu and next thing I see is that he's working on another patient I leave to the reception room and the receptionist tells me where all my cavities are and shows me this chart with the prices which amounted to over a thousand bucks. OK.. I don't even know if I really have all these cavities because the doctor didn't even take time to show and explain to me!! Bottom line.. If you want a doctor/assistant that does a half ass job and tries to rip u off , then u can come here. Never coming back again!!!!!! read more

I like Dr. Wu. I'm one of those patients who always like to be in the know about my health etc, and he always answers my questions in a way I can understand. The best thing about Dr. Wu, he's very gentle and takes his time. I referred my cousin and her daughter and they prefer him over her previous pediatric dentist. Now all my family members go here. Clean, bright place. Friendly, but quiet staff. I did try other places, but I just felt like the next one in line. One thing I admired, and this is what my mom told me years ago, he used to do some pro bono jobs for the homeless. read more

My family has been with Dr. Wu for over 20 years. Dr. Wu take pride on his work and is very professional. Dr. Wu will suggest what is needed and not suggesting services that are unecessary. I like that he explains what he is going to do and findings so that you can make informed decision. He is always patience and friendly. My friend has her family over to Dr. Wu recently.
