been coming to dr joon lee since my last dentist retired for regular checkups n cleanings. up til last year all was good with a few exceptions that would need attention eventually. well about 2 months ago, eventually finally became a now thing. while my last dentist did what he could, with what i called my "monster teeth" n limited working-while-going-to-college-budget...dr lee has been able to give me a sort of upgrade from my previous treatments while still keeping within a budget that wont have me selling a kidney for. dr lee and his staff have always tended to me and my limitations/thresholds of pain from needles/drilling and never lost patience with my constant need to take a break. overall, looking back from my past somewhat major work, it was quick and quite painless. just a lil prick then clean n precise work is complete! while i dont have before n after pics, mainly cuz before i never had much to smile for, i will smile more moving forward knowing i no longer have monster teeth to hide. thanks dr joon lee & staff! read more

My rear tooth was in pain so I came to Lee Dentistry. I met Dr. Joon Lee and he did an exam and told me that one of my tooth needed to be extracted. He did the extraction and was able to put in the stump. I waited 5 months for the area to heal and returned from my implant. Wow. painless and he fitted me with a crown. I came back in two weeks and the crown fitted perfectly. First time in my life that I had a crown that did not require any grinding. I'm very impressed with Dr. Joon Lee and happy to highly recommend him. If I have any more need for Implants then this is where I will be coming. read more

I'll have to be honest that just until recently I wanted to give this place like maybe 3 stars because one of their assistants was just extremely unprofessional and the older receptionist was really rude. However, the dentists themselves were always amazing. I recently had to go back before my insurance was changed and the new staff is amazing! Quick and friendly and makes me just feel sad to have to go. I've always loved all the dentists here. They all know what they're doing and definitely never ever have tried to sell me anything. They do what you need to do in the most conservative way and they do what is best for you. My teeth always feel so clean and amazing after a visit here. Highly highly recommend this office especially since they take medi cal. You won't find another dentist that takes medi cal that will give you this great of service anywhere. There has only been 1 dentist who I've visited who was worse than Dr. Lee(The Son who works here). Over the past decade or more I've been coming here and have only been satisfied with 2 of the 7 teeth he has worked on... Most of the crowns he did were LARGER than my original tooth, and didn't BITE properly. This causes major health problems!!! From TMJ to a crooked spine....all from a crooked tooth.... research has been done on rats proving that a crooked bite can cause scoliosis and correcting the bite will straighten the spine again.... So I have been literally filing down many of the oversized and crooked crowns they gave me(most likely from an improper mold or a bad crown making company) and I'm actually starting to feel better. These teeth were so crooked they would chip and crack within days or weeks of getting them. I would chomp down in my sleep and they cracked because the bite force was all on those oversized crowns. They might of done the fine tuning of my bite while my jaw was numb off lilocaine...maybe that made my bite crooked...trying to rush and reducing quality of work. Dr. Lee seems very educated but he was a rookie wet behind the ears when I first got there. And those were the worst jobs he did too back then..... but the funny thing is...last year he made the EXACT SAME MISTAKE AS 10 YEARS AGO....My newest crown is CROOKED AND OVERSIZED. My temporary crown felt normal and better. This permanent one was all messed up. He has some disgruntled assistants because he has them do more work than most other dentists.... His assistant UDA jabbed my drilled tooth last time and caused excruciating pain the kind of pain that makes you sweat from your nose..... I will never come here again. I will try to update with photos of my teeth as proof. And if they are registered with the ADA american dental association...I would be interested in submitting my case for peer review...... To anyone reading this. I highly suggest finding an ADA registered dentist so that if anything ever goes wrong a qualified third party with authority can mitigate the dispute. read more

This guy is a terrible dentist and let me tell you why. Dr. Lee always seems in a hurry he is RUSHING through all his jobs just to make more cash $$$. I haven't gone to the dentist in a decade or so and says i don't need a deep cleaning (probably doesn't want to deal with medi-cal insurance). He gave me a regular cleaning that he did in about 20 minutes. That's not even the worst of it all. I get ALL my fillings done by him and replaces my silver fillings. 2 years later I visit a new dentist. Says my fillings haven't been done properly, sure enough every filling has decay due to the bacteria leakage cause he did a rush half-ass job (showed me on camera all the pictures of my teeth decay'ed) on my fillings. ON TOP OF ALL THIS HE DIDNT EVEN FINISH REMOVING MY OLD OLD AMALGAM FILLINGS WHEN I WAS A KID. WAS TOO BUSY IN A RUSH THINKING ABOUT MONEY AND NOT QUALITY. DO NOT GO HERE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE JOB, ALL HE SEES IS $$$. Would give him a 0 star if I could and tell him to go back to dentistry school. Well, throw those low quality dentist ads away and head over to Dr. Lee Dental Group..NOW!!!! Friend of mine referred me to him saying that he's very friendly and does excellent quality work. I figured it wouldn't hurt to give him a try so I made an appointment and went in today. The office is very welcoming and clean. I liked the homely environment and how comforting everyone made me feel. Yes, I was nervous and scared because i had a cavity and filling to take care of. Those drills that the dentist use scare the #(%&!!! out of me! Fortunately, Dr. Lee's procedure did not hurt AT ALL. He was very gentle and worked quickly on both my cavity and filling. If you're looking for an experienced friendly dentist, Dr. Lee is worth the drive. His outstanding quality dental work will surely satisfy your expectations and will want to schedule your future appointments with him. From what I know, he is a graduate from USC dental school and has been working in this field for over 10 years. They accept medi-cal!!!!! Just call and ask to make sure first! And they will look it up On heir system. Friendly staf!! Was able to get an appointment the day of. Not the most updated/cleanliest office but I only paid $1 for a check up and cleaning. My x-rays couldn't be done because the instruments were too big to fit inside my mouth and they don't have that x-ray room where you go inside to have the x-rays taken. The young Korean dentist checked me out and luckily no cavities! (It's been at least 3 years since my last check up and cleaning). He even did the cleaning himself and got all that gunk out. Absolutely the WORST dentist I've experienced. This dentist's office still operates as they live in the late 90's. They DO NOT know how to transfer digital x ray images for patient needs, instead, they only print out the x ray images from their little black&white inkjet printer! What a joke?! I've been terrified of dentists all my life. I had a traumatic experience as a kid and I definitely dont go as often as I should. It's always hard to find a good dentist you can trust. It's even harder to try a new dentist when you've been going to the same mediocre one for a while. Honestly tho, if you're not completely happy with your dentist, check this place out. My friend referred me here after I kept complaining about my toothache. It was my first checkup in almost 5 years. (oops!) They definitely care about their patients tho. Never done a wisdom tooth extraction before, I was a bit nervous because people told me it is painful. However, I had an awesome experience with Dr. Lee. I am not lying but I did not feel anything when Dr. Lee is pulling out my tooth. I didn't time it but it was about less than 60 seconds. THE PROCEDURE WAS PAINLESS (besides the injection to numb the mouth). And I didn't really feel anything after the anesthesia wore off either. Didn't even need the Ibuprofen they prescribed me. I am now able to eat regular food 24 hours after the surgery. Dr. Lee is quite a down-to-earth guy. He explains concerns just as efficient as his surgical procedure. Nouba patiently took at lease 20+ pieces of X-ray because I was a new patient and the doctor needed more views on a specific tooth. Nancy greeted me caringly before having the extraction and offer the gauze pads in an envelope printing the care notices after my tooth got pulled out. You would love this young and professional team! My overall experience is more than just great! I will definitely continues to come and get my teeth treated here. read more

We went their for the first time this week and my kids had to have their baby tooth pulled out so their permanent tooth can move up and Dr. Lee made them AND me so relaxed and explained everything very clearly! Appointment at 10:00 am of Saturday, be there by 9:45 am. The nurse helped me take X ray and start my forever waiting ! Been changing two rooms waiting and finally I heard doctor coming over and just say hi to me lol and then another 20 mins waiting .Finally finally !!!! One of nurse came over said their internet down , so they can not do anything to me. Well, ask about the regular clean up which is on need the internet right ? Took me another 15 mins waiting . I went to Lee Dentistry on Monday 02/24/2020 for a checkup after complaining of pain. I had a missing tooth that I needed to have repaired and my insurance didn't kick until the end of February (so literally today). Dr. Lee looked at it and told me that not only was it infected but so were the two teeth next to it. But he said this type of infection can not be treated with antibiotics... UGH...REAL???? I've never heard of such an infection (nor has my new dentist). He said repairing the tooth would require extraction and an implant and could cost approximately $3000, He wouldn't know until he sees my new insurance. The next day, I scheduled an appointment with another dentist because something was fishy about Dr. Lee and here's were Dr. Lee really Shines. So naturally, I don't want to do x rays again right? So I asked Dr. Lees staff to email me my x-rays but they said all they could do was print..In 2020 that's almost unacceptable that staff doesn't have the means to email x-rays. In any case, when I arrived to pick up my printed x-rays I was upset that they couldn't even put them on the thumb drive. I asked to speak with Dr. Lee. He responded that they are computer illiterate. This place is a joke. Welcome to the 21st century!!! They intentionally do not want to email x-rays because they want to keep you there. Because of them, I had to expose myself to a full set of x-rays twice in a week. I can care less if it is covered or not by my insurance, I didn't want the radiation exposure. Avoid this place by all means necessary. read more

Walked in this morning with my wife for the first time. 1st impression was good the lady at the window was super nice. Then we walked in for the x-rays. The office is far from being sanitized or clean, you can see dust everywhere on all surfaces and the x-rays machine is very old and painful although the x-ray lady was very nice and tried in every way possible to comfort me and my wife during the x-ray. I almost walked out at that point but me and my wife decided to give it a shot because of the x-ray specialist was super comforting. Then we moved to the chair to get our cleaning done and that's where more dirt was seen and the next thing I hear is the dentist sneezing during the cleaning process. Then he demands more x-rays to be taken. At this point we decided to walk out. While the staff was great, the dentist and the place were not at any expectations. read more

First time patient. I called this morning and asked if they had any openings this week, as my regular dentist is far and I had a tooth that was bothering me. To my surprise, she told me to come in an hour. This is a family run business. You could tell immediately. The woman at the desk is Mrs Lee, ad the dentists are Dr. Lee Sr and Dr. Lee Jr. I had Dr Lee Sr. They took some x-rays and identified the source of the pain was a cavity between the teeth. Not only did they fix the cavity, but he offered to do a cleaning for me, while I was there. I set up an appointment for a few other things, but I was very impressed that they were so accomodating. Very nice. Dr Lee Sr was extremely personable, and he talked to me the entire time. I think he could tell I was a little nervous. He did his best to relax me. I will definitely come back. I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave my regular dentist quite yet, but this place is right around the corner from my house so I'll definitely give it a few visits and decide. Lastly, I saw a reveiw on here regarding cleanliness. The person stated there was dust everywhere. I looked around and inspected diligently. I didn't see any dust. While true the equipment is rather old, it WAS sanitary. They've been in business since 1980, at this exact location. The equipment looks like it's the original equipment, but I think it makes it interesting. But dirty? No. Very clean. read more

The waiting area so so and needs updating and they can use new music rather than the rock a role that was playing loudly. Dr. Lee Senior does a great job with his denture work. I've never seen someone pull teeth so quickly and I have to say it was amazing. You can pull an entire mouth of teeth and install dentures same day. He does want to make sure his customers are completely happy. My other suggestion would only be that mom should not really be in the front office working with customers or talking on the phone. She is very nice but for English-speaking customers there is a language barrier. This office would be better served having one of the other girls in the front office as well. read more

I tried Dr. Lee in Chino HIlls after being referred by a friend. My 11 year old daughter is terrified to go to the dentist. She has always cried and would not let them work on her without a little hassle. My 7 year old son moves around alot and is very hyper. Both of them LOVE THIS DENTIST. My daughter was scared at first but after felt so comfortable. She even went back and had 2 cavities fixed with NO TEARS!!!! i COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! My son, the dentist has a lot of patience let me tell you. the staff does also and played with him to get him to stay still. They understood that he is a kid and kids move, especially for the dentist with these pokey things going in their mouth and keeping their mouth open for the long period of time. I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for over 14 years and have had every member off the family helping me at one point or another. They are awesome. Like most people, I had bad experiences as a child making me fear the dentist as an adult. But once I visited this office for an emergency the weekend I moved to the area, I became a patient for life! Their first priority is always to stop any pain and make you comfortable. Secondly, they make sure you understand all your options and the try to promote saving your natural teeth and smile whenever possible. They genuinely care for their patients and will do what it takes to work with you and your insurance to get you a beautiful, pain free smile! I cannot say enough about the great care I've received and recommended everyone I know who had needed any dentistry to make an appointment or just walk in, and they've all been satisfied and make them their family dentist from that point on.
