When Dr. Ho says he's available 24/7, he definitely is. Our family dentist referred us to Dr. Ho when my bf needed to remove two of his wisdom teeth. This office is busy and everyone in the office is super personable. Nordstrom style customer service, even the doctor makes time for his patients. After surgery, they give you a number you can text 24/7. And let me tell you, your text gets replied back ASAP. My chicken of a bf needed stronger meds and the doctor was able to call it in. Also, you are able to get your meds then and there without having to go to a pharmacy, which we appreciated. It will cost you more but it was more convenient for us. read more

I was referred to this place through a friend whose daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled. I've now been here twice- First visit was last year for my oldest son to extract his wisdom teeth, this year was for my middle son to also extract his wisdom teeth. The front staff is friendly, professional, and responsive and quickly provided info on my insurance coverage for my kids. They provided both my boys with everything they needed for a smooth recovery and even called me the next day to follow up and see if they were ok. Great customer service! Removed my wisdom teeth under anesthesia here. Doctor did a pretty good job the pain level was low. Had jaw/bite issues that indirectly created tinnitus that caused difficulty sleeping and numbness of my right jawline area and chin LOL. also air flows into my ear when i try to sleep now hahahahahha Went back to the office to ask if he could help with no intention of lawsuit and the front office lady was moderately sassy and condescending and said i would have to pay for another appointment money if i wanted help. overall dont think the doctor's skills caused my issues but wish he would have considered how the procedure would affect my bite beforehand. I'm sure the doctor is a nice guy but imo prophyletic wisdom tooth removal is kind of a gamble at best. also dont think the price is worth it when you can fly to Korea and get them removed for $60 USD with followup where you pay a 3k$? here 10/10 surgery skills 2/10 regret wisdom tooth removal no severe pain but my jaw always feels kinda uncomfortable and started clenching/grinding afterwards lol read more

Sadly.. I needed another implant to replace a fractured tooth that had an old root canal. Luckily, I knew exactly where to go since he did such an amazing job on my first implant. However, this time, I opted to get the general anesthesia so that I would be knocked out for the extraction/bone graft portion. The extraction was the most uncomfortable aspect from my experience last time, so I wanted it as stress free as possible this time since sedation would take that anxiety away. The whole experience was so incredibly easy!!! I literally sat down.. Dr. Ho came in to hook me up to the IV and next thing I knew, the nurse was telling me that I'm all done...it literally felt like only a few min had passed. I couldn't even remember falling alseep!! The whole process took less than 30min and I was awake and went about my day as usual. Of course, if you choose sedation, make sure you have a designated driver that will stay with you during the procedure. Now, I just need to wait 4-5 months for the bone graft to heal and the next step will be the post placement followed by a crown. Dr. Ho and his team are all super friendly, professional, and I wouldn't trust going anywhere else for dental surgery. read more

Beware of this dental office. My step son went to them and provided them his personal information, primary insurance holder , which is me, and delta dental insurance information. The front office staff told my step son that they called the delta dental insurance office but no one answered the call and could not verify the insurance. So they want my step son to pay 100% for the service upfront. I have been to several dental offices in my life and never encounter a case where they are not able to verify the insurance and want me to pay 100% of the charges upfront. My step son is on my insurance plan. ,Delta dental insurance always have someone to answer call during regular office hours This is a either very lazy dental office or shady office that want my step son to pay whatever they want to charge and not have to deal with the insurance My advice, go somewhere else. read more

TL;DR - I would highly recommend people to stay away from here if they are looking to do dental implants. Extremely demeaning and unprofessional I believe any type of surgery, the patient should be well inform of the entire procedure and the reason for each step that's done. In this case , the brand of the implant + if need to do bone graft or not. In our first consultation, which I paid, the doctor was nice and took about 10-15 minutes to go over the entire procedure. His selling point was his number of years + the brand of implant that he use. Then he told me that bone graft was OPTIONAL for me, as I am still young + bone density is good. However, he would still like for me to do it, because it will guarantee that I will be ready to do the actual implant in 3-4 months. The reason is because after first extracting the tooth, the area needs to heal first, which with the bone graft it'll basically heal faster. So my follow up question was then "what happens if we don't do the optional bone graft", his answer was "then the healing might take longer, like another 2-3 months". So basically for my specific case, he will do a check-up at the 3-4 month mark, then if it hasn't heal enough, then wait another 2-3 months. During this 1st meeting, I walked away feeling like I had found the right oral surgeon to do my implant. To my surprise, when I went in the 2nd time to start the implant procedure, which involves extracting the affected tooth first. Mind you, I was already in the surgery room. When he came in to start the procedure, I told him I will only do extraction and will NOT do the OPTIONAL bone graft...and that is when he went belligerent, demeaning, and child-like. He proceed to tell me since that I am not doing the bone graft, then I shouldn't even bother to come back in 3-4 month. That he will actually book me out by 9 months instead. When I proceed to tell him that's not what he originally he told me. He then say that he is the "OrAL SurGeon" and the he knows what he's talking about (keep in mind, the 1st appointment was only 2 weeks apart). By his facial expression, I can tell he was extremely angry, so I try to be professional and defuse the situation by changing the topic. I then ask if the implant he will be using for my specific tooth (The location of the tooth), if the implant will be thin or wider. (I really only ask this question because I saw how heated he was, and wanted him to cool down ). For some reason that trigger him even more and he start to be demeaning and condescending. Saying that it is "COMMON SENSE" to use the thinner one. That anyone looking at the X-ray can know it is "COMMON SENSE". At this point he is already raising his voice by a couple notches. It slid down hill from there, because any question I ask at that point, he always answer with "COMMON SENSE". In my mind, if everything is common sense, then why do patient go to him for advice or expertise? I acted professional and told him I need a few minutes to decide if I want to move forward with procedure. He then left by slamming the door. Shortly after, one of the nurse came into the room looking very apologetic asking if I am fine. I suspect she had heard him screaming from outside the room. I told her I will have to leave as I am not comfortable moving forward with the procedure. I rather lose my exam fee then move forward with someone that is extremely condescending and rude. Came here all the way from Lake Elsinore because the military scheduled me here saying it's the "closest" dentist they could find. About an hour drive for me to get here but not upset at all because this place is legit. The staff is super friendly and know what they are doing. I had to come in twice, first time for a consultation on a wisdom tooth removal, and the second time for the actual procedure. Both times were great service experience. Dr. Ho is a very experienced dentist and does a very good job at explaining the procedures. On the day of the procedure I decided to go with the anesthesia because I have never had a procedure like this done before. I still remember me laying down and the staff hooking me up with different gadgets. Next thing I remember is closing my eyes for a few seconds and waking up with the gauze in my mouth. "You're done" they told me and I was like "that was quick". Of course I couldn't feel the pain because I was numbed in that area and I felt like I slept for days haha! This is actually a superrr longgggg overdue review but this was an unforgettable experience that I have to share. I was referred to Dr. Ho to extract all 4 of my wisdom teeth. The office is clean & very well organized. The dr & the staff were all very informative & nice. Dr. Ho told me most people do 2 at a time but I went ahead & did all 4 just to get it over with. I'm not sure if I was a lucky one but the only little pain I had was from the IV before the procedure. After the procedure I had very minimal swelling & really no pain at all which I was really surprised about. I only had some jaw stiffness & couldn't open my mouth all the way. Before the procedure I heard so many stories from people about the pain & waking up in the middle of the procedure but my experience with Dr. Ho was quick and painless. I came here to have my wisdom's removed, but before the date of the surgery there was a consultation with how much I would have to pay and what the procedure would be. (So a given amount of how much my insurance would cover and how much I would have to pay was all written out) I agreed with the amount and came back for the surgery another day. Couple months later I received an additional invoice on top of what I had already paid. There was also a letter from my insurance company stating "There was no documentation that bone removal or sectioning of the tooth was required in the extraction/removal of this tooth." Don't judge an establishment by it's Exterior! Dr. Victor Ho's Facility is impressively MODERN, COZY, & High-Tech for a Dental surgery. Its so aesthetically designed you won't even notice it houses those accordian-like security gate! The Receptionists are welcoming and properly inform you of the check-in process. The dental employees of Dr. Ho are equally kind and reassuring. It being my FIRST time, my apprehension was countered by the helpful answers and info given to me. After a very MODERN style Panoramic X-Ray, I was led to the room where my consult would begin. Prior to meeting Dr. Ho, they played an informative short video on what to expect pre/post op and satisfactorily informed me of the procedures and reasons for my type of surgery (Wisdom Tooth Extraction). The Doctor was young? Speaks ENGLISH clearly. Very kind and was patient with all my questions and concerns. After payment for service to be rendered was paid, they got me prepped for sedation. Today I took my daughter to this dentist whom I was referred to by our primary dentist . There was a misunderstanding due to our dentist giving me to separate referrals for 2 different issues with my daughters teeth . When I arrived we established the misunderstanding and turned out what I thought we were being seen for was not the correct referral . However the girl at the front desk suggested we still see Dr Ho for consultation on a tooth that might have to be pulled , an opinion . I agreed and staid to see Dr Ho as recommended however when he came into the room he came off very rude and made me feel like I was waisting his time, he kept talking over me and would hardly let me get an explanation in . He kept showing me a card in my packet that had teeth circled and kept saying he does wisdom teeth extraction while showing me the diagram of circled teeth as tho I should know what those teeth circled meant . I'm not a dentist and felt like he had this arrogant reaction . He was very rude and it was something that I didn't expect from a professional treating a patient . I was referred to Dr. Ho by my dentist to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Now we all know, getting wisdom teeth out is not a fun thing. However, my experience here was amazing! I would highly recommend this office for your wisdom teeth extraction needs. When I first stepped into the office, they took me to a room where they played a video explaining the extraction process and any possible complications that may arise afterwards. Then, I met with Dr. Ho and he reviewed the main points of the video with me again. He was very quick and fast with this process, but that is not to say I think he left anything out. Someone then came in to talk to me about insurance/payment and she was so nice and patient with me (I hadn't eaten ALL DAY so my head was not working as fast as it could. I was asking many questions lol). HERE COMES THE SURGERY. One minute I was being hooked up to an IV for the anesthesia, and the next thing I knew I was waking up from the procedure. I think it only took 45 minutes total; so fast! I was definitely loopy for a few hours after but nothing a long nap couldn't fix. In terms of my recovery process, I was so surprised with how swift it went! I had NO SWELLING of my face whatsoever and very minimal pain. I only had to take 3 pain killers total. I was not expecting this at all! I felt back to normal by the next day, with the exception of some jaw soreness. I know everyone is different, but I definitely think the work Dr. Ho did contributed to my fast recovery. I am now 4 days post-surgery and feeling great. Come to Dr. Ho for your wisdom tooth needs! Review for Horizontally Impacted Wisdom Teeth Removal/Consult Some minor gripes I wanted to address first: * There was some miscommunication, and apparently your driver has to be present before they will start the procedure.. I didn't know this and had to wait while my driver drove over first. * If you only want a consult, it takes forever to get an appointment. I think I had to wait a month for them to fit me in, but I could get an appointment for the actual removal within a week.. which I suppose makes sense because they probably make more money off the actual procedure. With all that said, Dr. Ho and his staff are actually amazing. They're extremely professional, and every time I called in with a question, they took the time to explain everything, without sounding they were rushing to get me off the phone. For my consult, they made me watch some videos (which I fell asleep during oops) and addressed any questions I had; honestly, I'm not sure why you need it except for peace of mind and the x-ray if you don't have one from your dentist. Oh, I guess they do need to check if you're on certain medications.. They're willing to do the consult and surgery at the same time, if you so choose. The surgery itself was really smooth IMO. Again, Dr. Ho was extremely professional. His nurse(?) came in and prepped me. Then, he came in, explained he was about to stick me with an IV (he was super gentle with it), and then they hovered a mask over my face, and the rest was history. When I came to, I was walking out of his office; I don't really remember the few first minutes of waking up or even walking out of the room, but apparently I was conscious and talking (so take note that you get someone you trust!). When I got home and removed the gauze from my mouth after about an hour, I checked how big the incision was, and it looked super small vs what I saw on YouTube videos (fyi don't watch them if you're squeamish), so I want to say that's probably a good thing he didn't go all ninja on my mouth(?) There was a decent amount of swelling though since I did not judiciously apply the ice pack. I'm expecting to be pretty much recovered in three days. Don't get me wrong, it still hurts insanely after the anesthetic wears off. You want to time it right when you take painkillers. The first time is difficult to swallow cause your mouth is still numb, but I'd recommend you taking painkillers sooner rather than later. I I messed up and I was at about a 7/10 pain level for a good thirty minutes while I waited for my drugs to kick in. If I had taken painkillers any later, I could see the pain easily being a 9/10, but I'm a pansy. There is an actual universal pain assessment chart if you need a better picture of how I felt. Later that day, I got a text from Dr. Ho asking how I was doing, which I thought was really cool. As of writing this review, I have had no billing issues because I waited for my pre-authorization/pricing from my insurance to come in before doing the surgery. If I don't update, you can assume nothing went wrong. Even though I was super anxious about this whole process, Dr. Ho and his staffs' professionalism really helped calm me down. 10/10 recommend. read more

My first cavity ever was caused by a dentist- this dentist. I had my wisdom teeth removed and after the surgery, woke up with a crack in the neighboring molar. They said it was not a crack but I was certain it was because I used a dental pick and it hurt within the crevice. Soon, the crack developed into a cavity that I had to pay to fill. I was pretty unhappy with getting a cavity (that was not even caused by me!) and their not admitting fault. read more

I was in extreme pain from one impacted wisdom tooth and I called them up Tuesday morning and they said they could accommodate me that same hour! Dr Ho is an honest and quality oral surgeon. He has performed a total of two very difficult extractions and 5 implants. The implant I received some 17 years ago has performed flawlessly and I'm confident the 4 implants he put in recently will do the same. He always personally calls to check on you after major procedures to make sure you're OK which I think is awesome! He's not one of those "cheap implant places" but if you want it done right it takes time, patience and a quality surgeon. His staff is extremely friendly and always on top of things. From start to finish I was very happy with my level of care from the front office staff to Dr. Ho - beginning to end. The consult was very professional - showing videos on the procedure and everything that it entails. Then he comes and does the overview of your specific case. I elected to come back a couple weeks later, and everyone was friendly and calming me down as this was my first time going under and needing anesthesia. I woke up and the extraction was over! I had no bruising and barely any swelling - nothing like what people say about looking like a chipmunk! I was referred here by my primary dentist to get my three wisdom teeth removed under light sedation. First of all atmosphere was so delightful, it made me feel less like I was in a scary dentist office. Secondly, the receptionist was so friendly. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get all three wisdom teeth removed, and she kindly told me why this was the best idea and made me feel better about the impending pain. Thirdly, Dr. Ho himself is very nice and friendly. He seemed down to earth which helped me to relax before I was sedated. I had a wisdom tooth that was completely sideways facing, and he reassured me it was easy for him to handle. After the procedure, I got a call from Dr. Ho himself to check up on how I was doing. I was referred to my dentist to Dr. Ho for my teeth extractions. The consultation was pretty quick and I had an idea of what to expect in the procedure. I requested for general anesthesia because I didn't want go through the progress and he was totally fine with it except my insurance didn't think that way and didn't cover it. The morning i was there for the procedure, the staff was expecting me. Dr. Ho seems very calm and told me that I'll be very comfortable. I fell asleep in just seconds and by the time I woke up it was all done. It was as expected and finished within the 45 minutes as he indicated before. They have great after-care instructions and the staff did call me on the next day to follow up. By the way, I did go back to work on the next day after the surgery. I only felt a little bit tired but I was still able to exercise for an hour after work. So I'm sure Dr. Ho did a great job that I felt totally fine after the surgery. No one wants to have their wisdom teeth removed, the idea alone is horrifying. When my dentist recommended Dr Ho I decided it was best to listen to him rather than listen to the bad reviews Dr Ho received on Yelp. But I really wish I had done more research before I decided to just jump in and have Dr Ho do the surgery. I am currently taking a hormone which Dr Ho knew would the healing process more difficult. Although he did warn me that this process would be more painful because of the hormone, I feel he didn't do anything to make my experience easier. After I got my teeth out he whisked me out of his office and didn't tell me anything, there was zero follow up, no one even asked me how I was feeling. It's all about getting to the next patient. They will fit you in if there are complications but ideally there shouldn't be any complications. Before the surgery I was told I'd know if I had a blood clot or not, but let's be real, when you're on pain pills its difficult to think clearly and to this day I still have no idea what a blood clot looks like. A week after the teeth were removed I saw the hygienist again and I told her about the intense pain I was feeling, she told me my teeth were fine but that she was going to put medicine in the holes to prevent anything. Deep down I knew my extraction holes were not "fine", they didn't feel "fine". Two weeks after extraction i'm still dealing with intense pain, so I decided to go in again, this time they actually tell me what's really going on and what I already knew, because of the hormone i'm taking I never had a blood clot and have dry sockets. A week after I kept feeling pain and had a lump on my jaw which they also dismissed until it was big enough that they could see it. Turns out I had an infection caused by something "unknown" aka a bone spur he didn't clean up after extracting my teeth. Now I have the pleasure of dealing with healing from another surgery.
