My mom only came here because her insurance matched her to this location. She has difficulty communicating in English since she only speaks Chinese, but good thing the girl at the front desk was able to help her translate. The only plus side to this place ends here. She translated that my mom needed to pay for deep teeth cleaning even though my mom's been a client for the past 2-3 years going in 2x a year. They looked into it further and then realized that my mom's been there multiple times by now and tried to backtrack on why they suggested a deep clean. My mom never had this issue come up and continued to request a normal teeth clean, but they insisted that they wouldn't do it unless it was a deep clean. My mom ended up leaving and is now getting her bi-annual teeth cleaning done elsewhere. Shame on this establishment for taking advantage of elders who don't speak proper English. read more

I visited Dr Alina's office for dental cleaning yesterday, but got a $745 bill for a dental crown after just an x-ray and checking my tooth. Then I told them I will think about it and prefer to have just the dental cleaning 1st. They told me that if can't be in the same day and I need to make appointment again, so I went to the front counter to schedule my next appointment, but she told me that she needs to check my insurance first. Haha now I understand that there will be no appointment if I won't pay $745 ~ they already have my insurance information by phone before I came, also can claim x ray fee from them. However, I am glad I have decided to not have the lung dental crown in their clinic after read old google message because someone's crown came out twice. read more

The office manager is rude, and incompetent. she over stated my charges, and insisted that she was right. I had my dental insurance call her to confirm that she was overcharging. After that she reluctantly agreed to complete the one crown work for which had already begun. she then informed me that they would do no further work that had to be done based on Dr Alina Magdy's evaluation. when I saw Dr Alena and asked her if she was going to do the other crowns that she had recommended only a week prior, she said that she didn't remember her diagnosis. I asked that she please look that up so we could proceed. she said she would check her records and call me back. She never called back. Dr Alena, and her office manager are only interested in patients who are not knowledgeable about their own coverage, and so they can be overcharged, and extorted. when they come across someone like me, who looks up, and is aware of what their insurance covers we are dropped. This dental office has no respect, or interest in the dental needs of the patients. They are only interested in how much they can fool the patients by lying about coverage. read more

I decided to take my teens to a pediatric dentist instead this year and they found some huge cavities that have been there for a long time. Mind you that we had an appt with Diamond Dental less then 6 months ago. The pediatric dentist noted that these are not new and have been there awhile. So point of this update is: if you have children or teens, do not go to Diamond Dental Group. They will miss everything since they take less than a minute to check their teeth. I love Dr. Alina Gad. She was referred to me by a friend. She helped me with a deep abscess which another dentist missed. Dr. Gad has a great professional attitude, is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. She has also put in a bridge for me. I never write Yelp reviews but I was so pleased with the experience that I had at Diamond Dental that I wanted to take a moment. I'm a total wimp when it comes to dental work so I was pretty nervous about seeing a new provider when I one of my teeth started bothering me. I selected Diamond Dental through my insurance because it was one of the few places has Saturday hours. I came in and Dr. Alina diagnosed the issue as a cracked tooth that needed a crown put on it. Everyone was very nice and I was able to get a timely follow-up appointment for the temporary crown. The team did an outstanding job and took their time to make sure that I was numb before getting to work on my tooth. They gave me the perfect amount of numbing agent and took a couple breaks to make sure that I was doing ok. And bonus, they have little TVs at each station so you can watch a show while they work on your teeth. So much nicer than staring at the ceiling! I'm so happy to have found my new dentist and would recommend Dr. Alina to anyone looking for a caring and skilled dentist. read more

Do not come here! I chipped a tooth and came in for an exam. The dentist examined me and said I needed a filling, but recommended that I wait until I delivered my twin babies to get it done. I came back to get my teeth cleaned per his recommendation. When I came back for the cleaning, the other dentist also examined me and said to come back after I deliver the babies for the filling. After I delivered my twins, I booked the appointment to finally get the filling. Note that it is extremely difficult for me to get out of the house for any appointment with twins at home. So I arranged to have my sister drive up all the way from Orange County to help watch my babies. I came in and got an X-ray and was sent home because they were "too busy" today and didn't have 30 minutes to do the filling!!!! I had a booked appointment like everyone else! They had already seen me twice and examined me and knew what I needed done. They didn't care about how inconvenient it was for me!!!! They overbook appointments and send the least profitable job home at their discretion! Extremely unprofessional- I will never come back. read more

The pages of the questionnaire are endless and keep asking almost the same questions and signing that took me almost an hour to complete, again I was told to do it again due to their computer didn't get them. This office may look professional but that is very deceiving. It is all about making money from you and from your insurance. That is the reason why for simple teeth cleaning, they will not schedule one appointment, but split it into two visits which I can deal with. In my case, I did not get the second appointment after taken the x-rays! Why? My teeth has no other problems and no extra treatment needed to be done. When I went to front desk to set up the 2nd appt for teeth cleaning, Letty showed me the next appt procedures will cost $455 that will NOT be covered by insurance. I decline those suggest treatments and said just want teeth cleaning. She rudely said you have to do these otherwise can't set up 2nd appointment. I said I don't understand and would like to speak with the dentist, Dr Alina. She seems to be related to the dentist and run the show like. I did not get to speak with the dentist and I also called twice to leave message to request to speak with the dentist and still no call back. My experience was not good at all. I was overcharged & had to get the insurance co. to audit my account. Bottom line: I was refunded $520.00! This was HMO type insurance & they padded the bill. WOW, this dental place is RIDICULOUS and I had the WORST dental experience in my life! What happened: - This was a simple cavity filling procedure and I've asked for SILVER fillings since Insurance covers it. I repeated this 2 times to the front desk and told the Dentist AGAIN before she started. - Both the dentist and assistant hurt me like hell, and I am not those girly girls that usually complains about pain. - When I was about to leave, the front desk lady was asking me for a payment of $295, I was like what is this? I'm doing the silver fillings (which is covered by the insurance), and she said it VERY RUDELY, NO, they have done the white fillings. I was really mad because I told the receptionist two times that I will be doing the silver fillings over the phone and the second time when I saw her in person while I had my dental cleaning. Ok, side story, this place, you need to come TWO TIMES to finish your dental procedures, you need to set up an appointment for teeth cleaning, and a SECOND appointment for dental cavity fillings. And these two appointments were set up a month ago and took place two weeks from each appointment. So basically, I just told her 2 times that I will be doing silver fillings, one on the phone, one in person. HERE IS THE WORSE PART, KEEP READING!!!!!! So, I complained to her that I told you TWO times, and she went to Dr. Alina and replied me that oh the doctor asked you to sit down again then we will help you to change back to silver fillings...WHAT...THE... HELL - I just got tortured here and you asked me to sit right back again after an hour a half to redo this all over again? Are you serious? Because YOU didn't do the right procedure, and I have to sit here another 1.5 hours??? - The SECOND WORST PART CAME, I was very upset, and I told the receptionist, you ask me to sit in right away for another procedure? Can't you see my 'white' shirt all wet from rinsing during the procedure? They didn't even tell me I can't rinse normally and to pay extra attention when I rinse since I was all numbed. Did you know what the receptionist told me? She said, "It is your choice to rinse your mouth or not, you can choose not to" WOW............. WOW...WOW...... REALLY??? When your dentist gives you something to rinse your mouth without letting you know that you might get wet, because you might not be able to control your muscles, I didn't say ANYTHING when my shirt was wet, until you asked me to sit in right away for another procedure. And this receptionist has NO conscious and sympathy at all, and basically, she was telling me that I SHOULDN'T RINSE MY MOUTH TO MAKE MY OWN CLOTHES WET. THIS IS YOUR CHOICE, YOU CAN NOT TO. WOW...... REALLY??? Conclusion: I was really upset by this front desk lady, seriously. I think Dr. Alina might have miscommunication with her that she performed my procedure with the wrong fillings, and she MIGHT BE busying with other customers so when I requested to talk to her she rejected me, but I just want to tell her that, you're a really nice dentist that being friendly to your patient except sometimes you're not very gentle and might have hurt your patient, which is acceptable to your skill. The worst thing is you hired this horrible lady that dissatisfied your patient in any kind of ways, being rude, impolite, no sympathy, and obviously the biggest mistake is that she didn't put her notes when patient talked to her. I have told her TWO TIMES I will be doing the silver fillings, and she didn't go over with me when I came in to visit the office today, so I assumed she had made the note for my requests, (if you don't believe, you can watch your security camera), and I have mentioned to you as well, Dr. Alina, I talked to you about the silver fillings before we started the procedure. I've been coming to this dentist for a few years now. I'm usually seen by Dr. Alina, she is thorough, explains procedures needed, and guides you through her recommendations. During my X-Ray, the dental assistant Alina also inserted the usually uncomfortable apparatus in a manner that was comfortable. You can only imagine my surprise there! I just had my first visit at this clinic. Dr. Magdy was honest and did not try to sell me extra dental procedures (such as the ever-popular deep-cleaning) excessively or unnecessarily. In fact, he actually told me that I was "only borderline deep-cleaning" and as long as I have my regular cleaning every 6 months, my teeth should be alright. The doctor also performed the cleaning meticulously, without rushing. Overall, everything went smoothly. I will be back in 6 months for my next regular dental cleaning. read more

On 12/08/16, shortly after writing my original review I was contacted by the receptionist. She told me that she spoke with the doctor and he agreed to refund the $70.00 charge only if I agreed to take down my review and my wife's (Yesenia C.) review. She said that I would have to bring the credit card I paid with into the office for the refund to be processed. I agreed and was going to give them a break with the successful completion of the other half of my dental work (scheduled for 12/14/16) and refunding of the $70.00 charge. On 12/14/16, I called the office to verify my appointment time. I was told by the receptionist that my appointment was cancelled because it was their belief that I no longer wanted service there due to the statements made in my wife's review. My wife's review stated that SHE would be changing to a different office. No where in her review nor mine does it state that I was going to change offices. Perhaps I was cancelled because my review wasn't removed fast enough for their liking? Now I'm stuck with a half completed dental job, a $70.00 loss, searching for a new dental office, having to wait for my insurance to take affect, and more time/effort of going through an additional consultation elsewhere. You know how you hear horror stories of dental office being scammers? Yeah this is one of them. On the first visit my husband asked to only do the procedures that are covered by the insurance. Lo and behold on the day of his treatment he had a $70 copay for his cleaning. Wtf???! That's not a copay that's retail price.
