It's now late in the season, and I'm scrambling to find other companies that still have wood. Weeks of wasted time and effort. Completely unreliable and dishonest. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. After failing to make any progress with another tree service business, I contacted Southern New Hampshire Tree Service and haven't had any better luck with them. I called on July 23 and Keith, the owner, came out the next day to assess the scope of work I was requesting. He repeatedly stated that "this is a big job" (and that is true, my property has been neglected for 13+ years & I have many trees, of varying sizes, to remove). He suggested that I get estimates from at least 3 to 4 different businesses and left without providing his estimate. I was dumbfounded and wasn't sure what to do next (I had the distinct impression that he wasn't interested in doing the job). Being as he came on a Friday, I had to wait out the weekend before I could contact him again. When I did call him, on July 27, Keith told me that he'd have to rent a crane to do the job and that would increase the cost considerably so he'd said that he would send me a list of other businesses, that own their own cranes, for me to contact. As I write this, more than two weeks after, I have not received any information from them. Since this is the 2nd tree service to have failed me, I'm, maybe foolishly, beginning to think it might be personal (perhaps because I am disabled).

I live in a…read moreone family house in the suburbs just south of Manchester Airport in a development of over 300 homes. For several years now I have been contemplating the removal of a very tall pine tree in my backyard which was leaning about 30 degrees towards my house. One day when I was driving through the neighborhood, I saw a crew of several guys removing a very tall tree from the backyard of one of my neighbors, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and safety and respect to other neighbors houses located around the work site. I approached one of the workers and asked for a business card. A day later I called the number on the card and my call was promptly returned the next day. I talked to Kyle and he agreed to come out the next day to look at the tree and determine the how and how much for the project. When he arrived he looked at the tree and the surrounding homes and said that it would be an easy job. He even suggested the removal of some other 'weed type' trees and taking down a few low hanging limbs on other trees. I never would have thought of that, I was just focused on that one tree! He agreed to come on out Monday morning at 8:30. My wife stayed home that day as she wanted to watch the operation and take pictures. Sure enough, 8:30 a.m. rolls around and here is a crew of three men with trucks and equipment in tow! They set to work right away, cutting off the limbs, then sectioning the tree and slicing it up and removing those parts out to the street to their chipper. I was very happy at the level of safety and respect they took in taking down the tree and the removal of that tree from my property to their trucks. We are in close proximity to my neighbors homes, they have nice yards with pools, decks and small shade trees. The removal was done only on MY property and they took great care to ensure they did not tresspass on my neighbors yards!
