Had the privilege of meeting with Eric Cotton, owner and wine maker. Because we were early in the day, spent over an hour with him. Got to experience and learn about all of the varietals of wine and he's doing an exceptionally good job. Particularly impressed with the dry riesling, the Meritage Rose (no one else making anything like it), the dornfelder, and three very complex great cabernet sauvignon's. Very much enjoyed learning all that they're doing and highly recommend someone stop by there's a wine connesiour and those wanting to learn more about the Grand River valley. Live music on a sat evening with a beautiful view of the manicured property, we had a big table that they held for us ahead of time as we called an hour before getting there. They don't take reservations but if you give them a heads up, it'll be smoother for both parties. The place was so lively and everyone who served us were friendly and so accommodating! Our kids went outside and played catch while us adults relaxed and enjoyed the wines, you can see them from the massive windows. The food was wonderful, the goat cheese fondue isn't too rich like a traditional cheese, try it! The hanger steak was so tender and juicy, scallops were not overcooked. Honestly if you are in the area, take a peek at this place and try the local wines. The bottle prices are so fair! Not pretentious and the parking was plenty. So we moved, but since we were in nowhere land we decided to just put the dog in the car to enjoy our wine back on the patio. I understand if you are not dog friendly, but I did call ahead and wouldn't have showed up if I knew we weren't going to be sitting within distance to enjoy the atmosphere. As for food - we ordered the artichoke dip and it had about 3/4 cup of dip - the rest was a chunk of bread. Margarita pizza was good. We'd come back again, but bummed how the evening went.

The place was pretty busy but the team kept up nicely with the crowd. The facility and grounds are nicely kept ! They have a small gift shop with a variety of items from local artists. Bath salts, for example in cute packages. Charcuterie boards like the ones they use. I had a glass of the Bourbon Chardonnay and really enjoyed the warm flavors of Carmel and fruit along with the hint of bourbon flavor. Definitely will be back. It's a great winery to visit in any season.

The burger was about a third of a pound, and topped with your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and/or onion. It was cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed eating it in their outdoor seating area, in a grassy location nestled under the trees. Beautiful setting, with lots of plants and flowers.
