Had the privilege of meeting with Eric Cotton, owner and wine maker. Because we were early in the day, spent over an hour with him. Got to experience and learn about all of the varietals of wine and he's doing an exceptionally good job. Particularly impressed with the dry riesling, the Meritage Rose (no one else making anything like it), the dornfelder, and three very complex great cabernet sauvignon's. Very much enjoyed learning all that they're doing and highly recommend someone stop by there's a wine connesiour and those wanting to learn more about the Grand River valley. After finding a table off to the corner (there were only two other tables occupied at the time)- the waitress said we had to move across the "parking lot" to an open gazebo that was clearly not set up for service yet. So we moved, but since we were in nowhere land we decided to just put the dog in the car to enjoy our wine back on the patio. I understand if you are not dog friendly, but I did call ahead and wouldn't have showed up if I knew we weren't going to be sitting within distance to enjoy the atmosphere. As for food - we ordered the artichoke dip and it had about 3/4 cup of dip - the rest was a chunk of bread. Margarita pizza was good. We'd come back again, but bummed how the evening went.
