I didn't end up completing the very last section because I was a little too nervous about using the rope to climb along the side of the rocks. However, that obstacle is near the end of the trail, so I was still able to experience most of the hike and felt like I got the full beauty of the area. Even without finishing the final portion, I would definitely recommend this trail. Just be prepared for a little bit of scrambling and the rope section if you plan to complete it!

Not sure if that was the best way or not. The parking lot is not huge, and you can't park in the designated camping area spots. There are plenty of picnic tables, probably more than parking spaces. There are at least 20 tables there. There are a few trails to choose from. Very close the parking and campsites is a short 1/4 hike (or shorter) to the dinosaur prints. There is a hike in the other direction to the mini waterfall and pond. Probably about a mile or a little over a mile (1direction). We also found an old almost petrified bristlecone tree (that was neat). We got lucky with the weather for Dec, it was probably about 60 degrees and very nice. I saw that in the summer it can be over 110 so I am glad that we got the nice weather. The red /orange scenery is spectacular and representative of the area, like it is at zion, bryce, snow canyon, pioneer park, etc. We enjoyed a picnic lunch there, and we had a blue bird, a scrub jay, come join us and beg for food. Check out my photos.

There was so much for the kids to do, the park was fun and family-friendly, and it was the perfect home base for exploring Zion and the surrounding area. We loved being able to have a mix of adventure and relaxation during our trip. The kids stayed entertained, we made some great family memories, and we genuinely didn't want the week to end. The location is beautiful, and there are so many fun things to do nearby. We would absolutely stay here again and are already talking about coming back. If you're looking for a fun family RV getaway near Zion, I definitely recommend Jellystone Park!

So we kept driving to the round about and I walked into the rangers station. I easily found the campers check in line and I then it was easy breezy. We were given a map, instructions, a bracelet to access the water areas, etc. The store offers plenty of fun souvenirs, albeit pricey. I was slightly displeased with the options as far as food/camping goods go. There were snacks, a few lunchables, some drinks, the frazzle drinks etc. as well as some medical goods, like aspirin, bandages etc. But it didn't really have the necessary goods we really needed that ended up with a quick run to Walmart... but thankfully Walmart wasn't far. Our campsite was clean, and supplied the necessary utilities we needed, as well as a fire pit, picnic table and one tiny tree. I wish the sites were flat rather than the black rocks. We had a great view of the lagoon and nightly sunsets. But felt like the rocks made it extra hot on our site. Of course the kids loved the mining, and playground. My daughter did the Build a Bear at the kids rec center, but we never saw the Bears that were supposed to be at these events. But maybe because it was 105 degrees?! The main attraction is both the water park & lagoon. Both each equally just as exciting and unique. The water park isn't huge by any means. It had 4 watersides. 3 different types. One nicknamed the toilet bowl by our group. You can slide down on a tube single or as a double and it's a lot of fun spinning around the bowl before shooting out. There was also another slide that did some turns and two slides that shot straight down. There were two pools, two jacuzzis, a splash pad and my favorite... the lazy river! The waters were very warm in all the pools. There is very little shade at the water park, besides a few canopies, a few covered tables and there were reservable cabanas that were a bit pricey. The lagoon water was warm on the outskirts, but cooler the further in you go. It's a sloped and sandy beach with chairs, a few palm trees that also don't offer much shade and a small canopy. Life jackets are a must for everyone including adults if you go in above your knees, and those kids working are very strict! Also, no pushing and shoving off the inflatable play center. That's the biggest attraction to the lagoon. A huge obstacle course in the middle of the lagoon. Hours for the water park/lagoon are a bit disappointing as they don't open till 11am and close by 7pm. It's so hot in the summer in St George they really could stand to stay open longer. The cooler fee is $15 per day and no outside food or alcohol is allowed, and yes they do inspect! You can go use one pool and a jacuzzi at 7:30p for campers with a special keypad code. One downside to this park, is it's next to a sewer treatment facility to the west and one day it smelled bad as the temperature rose. There's also a lot of construction happening outside the park near the lagoon, so there was dust and tractor noise. We stayed 4 nights. I think 3 is plenty in the awful summer heat. I think once the trees can offer more shade it'll get better. But overall the heat and no shade wiped us out. Also, to note: no early check-in or late checkouts during summer. You'll be turned away, or priced for an extra night.

Lots of hikes, a small lake, mountain biking all nearby. If you want to spend more time relaxing and recreating it's a great option. Verizon service sketchy but park wifi good enough for checking weather, emails and texting. Staff exceptional and customer focused, super helpful and friendly. Diane moved mountains to extend our stay when we had a pet emergency that required surgery. It was in an extreme heat event and the air conditioner ran nonstop 4 days. Park power never wavered. Doug the grounds keeper is always working to keep things looking sharp. Only downside is most spots require leveling due to hillside location. Oh and it is windy but gravel and pavement keeps dust down. We'll keep coming back!

The establishment was clean and easy to navigate. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have codes for the bathrooms, which I liked because it kept things more private that way. The bathrooms were always clean and we liked having access to water and electricity on our tent site. My only feedback for them to work on is the K9 Camp area. I wish it were bigger so our dogs could really run around more to unwind at the end of the day. We look forward to staying again.

I have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and I can honestly say this is the best one…read moreI have ever visited. It was spotlessly clean, easy to find and enter, great parking, and great location to Zion. The bedrooms were huge, with a king sized bed and twin bed in each, so you could easily sleep 6 adults here, and more if people were willing to do air mattresses in the living room. The bathrooms were great, and fully stocked with many towels. Great shower and bath tub. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook, including a crock pot and waffle maker! They ever had a pancake/waffle mix out on the counter which was so cute. The tv was easy to use and had lots of app options. The blinds worked great to keep out the sun. The couch was very comfortable and the kitchen is huge! The street was very quiet, and the little town had a few nice restaurants and was only minutes away from the main drag in Hurricane. I am so happy my husband found this place, what a score! Honestly my only negative notes are nitpicking - one of the twin bed frames was loose and creaky and could use some tightening. The ceiling fan in our room was stuck on the highest mode and we couldn't adjust it. Tiny things like that, but nothing to take away from what a phenomenal experience we had. We don't go to Zion often which is kind of a shame because I would totally stay here again.

Its always squeaky clean, has comfortable king bed and best of all - a fenced backyard with grass. We so look forward to stopping here after a long day of driving. The back fence is 4ft tall which works fine for us as our big dogs are not jumpers. Also, nice patch of grass. It's on a fairly busy street so the front room has a bit of street noise but it doesn't bother us at all. It's a 2 bed/2 bath both ensuites with king beds. Everything you would need in the kitchen, cozy living room area with a small TV. Lots of places to eat in Hurricane which is 5 min away. Highly recommend. So grateful we don't have to walk the dogs on leashes (yucko) - just open the front door and shoo them in - then they can roam around the backyard safely. We will be back again and again!

This KOA is undergoing an expansion so if you stay Monday through Friday you could be awoken by heavy construction equipment. A majority of the sites are for RV's as many people use this place as a home while they explore the many off road trails nearby. The restrooms were in good condition and most importantly clean. We also enjoyed the pool. It was heated and the perfect temp for fall even with the cooler air. The game room and golf course we're in disrepair and useless to even have or advertise on the website. The playground was in good condition and fun for the kids. Unfortunately we had some service inconstancies with the staff. Whenever we had questions they just weren't very helpful and appeared lost when we spoke English to them and that was there primary language. One downfall of the location is that it's located right on the interstate highway 15 so traffic is pretty heavy throughout the night. There are two historic ruins of the town of Harrisburg as well as a cemetery from the mid 1800's. Definitely something to explore on your journey. Enjoy!

Autocamp Zion with toddlers We traveled to Autocamp Zion…read morewith 22 month old twins and a 4yo. We rented the Airstream trailer and tent. Wanted to leave a review with some considerations for that crowd. Overall we thought it was a very cool area and it suited our needs for wanting to experience a renting a trailer. It had beautiful views. Everything was fairly clean especially outdoors. The futon was slightly stained/darkened from years of use. ***FLIES*** were a huge problem on the campsite. They were swarming our kids wagon and us anytime we went outside. This wasn't an issue in Zion NP but it was on the campsite site for some reason. It was pretty gross. If you have the bandwidth maybe trying bringing fly repellent or a fly trap for your area. 1. Temperature: Especially with young children, choose your travel dates wisely. Weather for "Zion" the week of our trip said high 90s and the actual autocamp temp was 101-106. It was unbearable and left us in the camper the entire afternoons after our busy mornings in the national park. The trailer also does not keep up with the heat. It was getting up to 85 degrees in the trailer even with maximum air conditioning (which is very loud and uncomfortable by the way). This was a big reason that we left early. 2. Toddler mischief: We all know toddlers love to open and close doors. The trailer has multiple cabinet doors, a bedroom door, and sliding bathroom door that the kids would not leave alone. We ended up using suitcases to block these issues. 3. Futon VERY uncomfortable to sleep on. 4. Pillows were not great, glad I brought my own. 5. The tent was HOTTTTT. We literally only used the tent for storage and the refrigerator because it was unbearably hot. 6. Fridge space: The fridge in the trailer is very tiny. It has a small icebox that we fit a few small ice packs and two frozen food items in. If you have the tent you have access to a more reasonable mini fridge. 7. Short staffed - there was usually only one person working the front, kitchen, phones, etc. We weren't able to check out because no one was around mid day and we had to call 5+ times to get someone to answer after we left in order to check out. 8. The pool was nice but no shade. It has about a 6 foot by 20 foot area of 1 foot water that was great for toddlers, but the kids just wanted to keep getting in and out of the water which was not enjoyable. 9. I liked that no cars are allowed to drive through the property because we were more comfortable letting the kids free roam. There are golf carts that pass through so you still have to be careful. It was also a long walk back to the car at times especially at hot temps. 10. Pack and plays: We fit two pack and plays in the kitchen/futon area for the kids to sleep. It was cramped but it worked. 11. Food: The breakfast was underwhelming. They were supposed to have a yogurt bar? One day it was just cereal. We ended up buying a yogurt parfait that was good but the next day they didn't have any. The pizza was also underwhelming. I don't think anyone enjoyed it.

It's a bit hard to miss when looking for it as the sign on the street is a bit small so you can't tell it was there. There's a gate to enter as you would get an email for the gate code but the gate is not working as it is open throughout our stay. Checking in process is easy as it is the same place next to their bar and mini gift shop. The area around the camp site is very clean and organized. Each trailer has their own spot to bbq, campfire, tables and chairs outside the trailer. Inside the trailer was very well put together but found a lot of dust built on the curtains and a few hair on the ground as well. They do provide you cooking ware, utensils, fridge, microwave, and all other necessities needed like a hotel room. There were bikes to rent, and other activities to do as well. There was a trail leading to a river but it wasn't much to see and there were many ant hills since it rained a few days ago so can't control nature on that. Overall it was an ok experience that was close to Zion which we spent our time there mostly.
