Garbage in fire pit and all over my tent site. Gross.
    C M.

What do you get for $34? No grass. Gravel for tent sites. Biting ants. Garbage all over my site. Table was dirty and burned. No trees. They got 2 stars because the people working there were pleasant. Other than that, this is a terrible koa.

We recently stayed here for three days because we wanted to explore St. George Utah. We were disappointed would not come back. This campground is a KOA so it had an easy reservation and check-in process. The price to stay here was not that expensive, which is good because if we had paid more I would have asked for a refund and left. This RV campground is all gravel, which is annoying, but what is worst is that many of the spots are on a sharp hill and very narrow with uneven terrain. The spot we had, 104, had about six feet between our spot and our neighbors on 1 side and three feet on the other side. The spots are so tight that one overnight fifth wheel hit the cable box as they pulled in and struggled to squeeze around the tree on the other side. Our spot was at a very sharp angle; our levelling jacks struggled to get our RV flat. When we left we could not connect our Jeep at our spot, we had to drive the RV to another location to connect the Jeep. Very inconvenient. Our spot had full hookups and there were no issues, hence why I can give these place two stars. The surprising "feature" of this park I have never seen is that there is one sewer connection with two inlets, I imagine if our neighbors dumped the same time we did we would cause a mess. Tengo provided WIFi and during our stay, it "worked" which is to say I could surf the web, but there were many interruptions and the link was not reliable enough to hold conference calls as part of my job. The playground was new, but placed near a sharp drop and not well thought out. The kids enjoyed it but my blood pressure was a bit high. The RV campground is also very difficult to get to from I-15, if you are coming from the North it is easy to get to/from. If you are coming from the south, there is a very sharp corner off the freeway and finding your way back to the freeway is a 3-5 mile bumpy ride. The RV campground shares a small valley with the Interstate, so you do hear some noise rattling throughout the night. The laundry facility is nice, the machines are newer and there were a good number of machines available. This was a positive for the RV campground. Would I recommend this park? No, not at all. Will we come back? Absolutely not. I would consider a level Walmart parking lot before visiting again. Informational: We travel in a 36' Class A RV.

Great campground! It was super easy to check in, and a staff member escorted you to your site. We tent camped & enjoyed many of the things this KOA had I offer. We were super close to the VERY clean showers/bathrooms, we went in the pool everyday and we even went down to the rec. room to play board games/pool/foozball. I was impressed with all this place had to offer & it's close proximity to fun. Zion national park was only 45min away and a Walmart was about 15 min away so nothing was too far.

    The lovely view from camp.

Needs a little spring cleaning. There were what looked like abandoned cars around the camp sites. It's funny how that some of the RVs had grass around them but all the tent spots were on rocks. On the positive, the staff was friendly, the laundry was clean and open 24 hours. Also the lounge was very nice and A/C. Not bad but not my favorite by far.

Not sure if that was the best way or not. The parking lot is not huge, and you can't park in the designated camping area spots. There are plenty of picnic tables, probably more than parking spaces. There are at least 20 tables there. There are a few trails to choose from. Very close the parking and campsites is a short 1/4 hike (or shorter) to the dinosaur prints. There is a hike in the other direction to the mini waterfall and pond. Probably about a mile or a little over a mile (1direction). We also found an old almost petrified bristlecone tree (that was neat). We got lucky with the weather for Dec, it was probably about 60 degrees and very nice. I saw that in the summer it can be over 110 so I am glad that we got the nice weather. The red /orange scenery is spectacular and representative of the area, like it is at zion, bryce, snow canyon, pioneer park, etc. We enjoyed a picnic lunch there, and we had a blue bird, a scrub jay, come join us and beg for food. Check out my photos.

This campground is only a few years old, and it's nice and clean, but there isn't much shade…read more Check in was confusing at first since you think you are pulling up to a little hut but there is no one there? So we kept driving to the round about and I walked into the rangers station. I easily found the campers check in line and I then it was easy breezy. We were given a map, instructions, a bracelet to access the water areas, etc. The store offers plenty of fun souvenirs, albeit pricey. I was slightly displeased with the options as far as food/camping goods go. There were snacks, a few lunchables, some drinks, the frazzle drinks etc. as well as some medical goods, like aspirin, bandages etc. But it didn't really have the necessary goods we really needed that ended up with a quick run to Walmart... but thankfully Walmart wasn't far. Our campsite was clean, and supplied the necessary utilities we needed, as well as a fire pit, picnic table and one tiny tree. I wish the sites were flat rather than the black rocks. We had a great view of the lagoon and nightly sunsets. But felt like the rocks made it extra hot on our site. Of course the kids loved the mining, and playground. My daughter did the Build a Bear at the kids rec center, but we never saw the Bears that were supposed to be at these events. But maybe because it was 105 degrees?! The main attraction is both the water park & lagoon. Both each equally just as exciting and unique. The water park isn't huge by any means. It had 4 watersides. 3 different types. One nicknamed the toilet bowl by our group. You can slide down on a tube single or as a double and it's a lot of fun spinning around the bowl before shooting out. There was also another slide that did some turns and two slides that shot straight down. There were two pools, two jacuzzis, a splash pad and my favorite... the lazy river! The waters were very warm in all the pools. There is very little shade at the water park, besides a few canopies, a few covered tables and there were reservable cabanas that were a bit pricey. The lagoon water was warm on the outskirts, but cooler the further in you go. It's a sloped and sandy beach with chairs, a few palm trees that also don't offer much shade and a small canopy. Life jackets are a must for everyone including adults if you go in above your knees, and those kids working are very strict! Also, no pushing and shoving off the inflatable play center. That's the biggest attraction to the lagoon. A huge obstacle course in the middle of the lagoon. Hours for the water park/lagoon are a bit disappointing as they don't open till 11am and close by 7pm. It's so hot in the summer in St George they really could stand to stay open longer. The cooler fee is $15 per day and no outside food or alcohol is allowed, and yes they do inspect! You can go use one pool and a jacuzzi at 7:30p for campers with a special keypad code. One downside to this park, is it's next to a sewer treatment facility to the west and one day it smelled bad as the temperature rose. There's also a lot of construction happening outside the park near the lagoon, so there was dust and tractor noise. We stayed 4 nights. I think 3 is plenty in the awful summer heat. I think once the trees can offer more shade it'll get better. But overall the heat and no shade wiped us out. Also, to note: no early check-in or late checkouts during summer. You'll be turned away, or priced for an extra night.

It was spotlessly clean, easy to find and enter, great parking, and great location to Zion. The bedrooms were huge, with a king sized bed and twin bed in each, so you could easily sleep 6 adults here, and more if people were willing to do air mattresses in the living room. The bathrooms were great, and fully stocked with many towels. Great shower and bath tub. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook, including a crock pot and waffle maker! They ever had a pancake/waffle mix out on the counter which was so cute. The tv was easy to use and had lots of app options. The blinds worked great to keep out the sun. The couch was very comfortable and the kitchen is huge! The street was very quiet, and the little town had a few nice restaurants and was only minutes away from the main drag in Hurricane. I am so happy my husband found this place, what a score! Honestly my only negative notes are nitpicking - one of the twin bed frames was loose and creaky and could use some tightening. The ceiling fan in our room was stuck on the highest mode and we couldn't adjust it. Tiny things like that, but nothing to take away from what a phenomenal experience we had. We don't go to Zion often which is kind of a shame because I would totally stay here again.

Its always squeaky clean, has comfortable king bed and best of all - a fenced backyard with grass. We so look forward to stopping here after a long day of driving. The back fence is 4ft tall which works fine for us as our big dogs are not jumpers. Also, nice patch of grass. It's on a fairly busy street so the front room has a bit of street noise but it doesn't bother us at all. It's a 2 bed/2 bath both ensuites with king beds. Everything you would need in the kitchen, cozy living room area with a small TV. Lots of places to eat in Hurricane which is 5 min away. Highly recommend. So grateful we don't have to walk the dogs on leashes (yucko) - just open the front door and shoo them in - then they can roam around the backyard safely. We will be back again and again!
