We stayed for a few days and it was great! I'm not going to blame them for a crazy windy night because in a place called Hurricane, you're going to have to expect wind. The establishment was clean and easy to navigate. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have codes for the bathrooms, which I liked because it kept things more private that way. The bathrooms were always clean and we liked having access to water and electricity on our tent site. My only feedback for them to work on is the K9 Camp area. I wish it were bigger so our dogs could really run around more to unwind at the end of the day. We look forward to staying again. read more

No Wifi even though they say they did. Grounds were super uneven. The bathrooms were okay, not the cleanest but not terribly dirty. The laundry area was down the hill which was really inconvenient. The thing that really bugged us was that we had to share a power hook up. The first night we got there, we just got settled and a smaller rv came, had the lot next to us. They had to park relatively close to us to be able to connect. Close enough we had to move our picnic table. The couple in the rv ended up asking for a different lot bc they didn't want to be up in our space and felt bad we had to move all our belongings around to make sure they fit. read more

We like to stay here overnight when passing through, easy to access, clean and relatively quiet. It has a nice view of red rocks so you don't forget you're in Utah! Lots of hikes, a small lake, mountain biking all nearby. If you want to spend more time relaxing and recreating it's a great option. Verizon service sketchy but park wifi good enough for checking weather, emails and texting. Staff exceptional and customer focused, super helpful and friendly. Diane moved mountains to extend our stay when we had a pet emergency that required surgery. It was in an extreme heat event and the air conditioner ran nonstop 4 days. Park power never wavered. Doug the grounds keeper is always working to keep things looking sharp. Only downside is most spots require leveling due to hillside location. Oh and it is windy but gravel and pavement keeps dust down. We'll keep coming back! read more

Staff was unwilling to work with us about finding a large enough site for us even though the park is less than 25% full. Very disappointing!

DO NOT STAY HERE! The pool is disgusting, the employees are lazy, there is no shade, the WIfi sucks. The office closes at 5pm in the summer, for a campground located right off the highway to have your office close at 5 PM is not good business sense. By the way don't bother calling the KOA headquarters because they don't care they just give you the standard each KOA is individually owned and operated so they don't care if the campgrounds are awful or if the employees Are rude and incredibly lazy. read more

Pleasantly surprised! It's been a long time since I stayed at a KOA. This one is quite good! I picked this location to stay at while moving cross country. It gave me peace of mind while hauling a trailer filled with all my valuables. I reached out to the staff via phone to find a campsite that would suit my vehicle and trailer. The site I got worked great and had a very nice view. Very quiet campsite (off season helps I'm sure). The only noise is the highway about 200-400 yards from the KOA depending on which site you select. The campground and highway is in a canyon so the sound is unavoidable. Didn't bother me personally; acts like white noise for sleep. The nice surprise was super clean key-code access bathrooms with plenty of individual self-serve shower stalls. Made my day after a long 8 hour drive. Wifi worked well for simple stuff but don't expect streaming capabilities. Nice place I highly recommend. If I pass through here again for the night I'd definitively choose this place. read more

We are never disappointed with KOA campgrounds. This location had nice mature trees with beautiful red rock views. The bathrooms were updated and very clean. Very pet friendly and conveniently located near the freeway but surprisingly not much freeway noise. We will definitely stay there again. read more

Cost/Benefit Analysis: Good value for cost. This facility was clean and simple. Shade was sparse. Sites were very unlevel. Substrate was rocks and dirt - - no concrete sites. Office staff did not keep their posted hours. Citing "Covid," early closures happened more-than once. Though there was a camp store, it's meager provisions were nearly Soviet. Though we recognize that it is not Zion--we did not expect a distance of 40 minutes to the gate of the National Park. Cost/Benefit Analysis: Good value for cost. read more

I'm giving this KOA one star just because I like their service but just not this facility. My partner and I arrive late and prior to our arrival, this KOA was notified of our late arrival and a change from party size of 4 to 2 people/2 tents to 1 tent. We were put in an RV site, all gravel, and not enough room to park my car and pitch a tent without having to park literally right up against the tent. Furthermore, knowing that we are down to 2 ppl and with only 1 tent, this KOA made changes to my party size but I was still charged for the full amount. Not to mention, I asked if we could use the shower after our hike (after checkout), I was told we would be charged a day use fee per person. So I was over charged for the two nights, placed in a not so tent-friendly site, and still was going to be charged a day use to shower on the same day I was going to checkout? No thank you. Note: this KOA campground is right next to I-15 which was non-stop traffic so bring earplugs. Their restrooms and showers were clean. There's a small size pool on-site as well. read more

Stayed here 3 days and the bathrooms were never cleaned. Based on that I didn't trust using the pool. Sites are uneven and my spot had zero shade, just hot gravel. I've stayed in a lot of KOAs and this one doesn't live up to their brand. read more

Very clean and conveniently close to Quail Lake, literally a 3-5 minute drive. Nice club house with pool table, laundry, small putt putt course and corn hole for the kids. Check in was quick. However, be prepared to hear the noise from I15, it's constant. You can watch the traffic from your site. Some sites are extremely close. I mean you can pass a cup of coffee from your rig to the neighbors. We were told upon check in, not to go to the creek because of bacteria and rattle snakes. Pool is nice and clean but small. With the summer temperatures it was very crowded with maybe 20 people. We planned on staying 4 nights but left after 2. Mostly because of the heat. read more

There was no hot water in the shower and the person in charge "Craig" refused to compensate us. The sites are also very uneven making it very difficult to level a RV. Based on Craig telling us he didn't care if we weren't happy that the showers lacked hot water, we will NEVER come back to this KOA. read more

Stayed here for 1 night and I was very impressed. It was priced good at about 40 with tax. They had a pool, closed but looked nice. The bathrooms were good. For my kids they had miniature golf and billiards. Also a playground. The view was nice. It's right next to a state park which would be nice if I was staying longer. This is our second time here and this we'll be the last time. There very little room between RV spots. You're close enough to look right into the windows of your neighbors RV. If you have slide outs you can reach out & touch each other. The restrooms/bath house is closed with no notice on the doors. The tent campers had to use outhouses. Laundry room was semi-clean, the washers & dries needed to be cleaned (plus this was the most expensive laundry facilities I have used). The FREE WIFI is a joke. Verizon has 1 bar, to make or receive a phone call you're forced to drive about 3 miles away. Lastly this KOA is not located in a convenient area. Access to & from freeway is out of the way. You're 14 mile (20 minutes) north of St George & Hurrincane is 10 miles southeast (17 minutes) away. read more

Location was appealing! This location is not up to the standards we have experienced at other KOAs. It appears there are numerous long term/full time residents. We were placed next to one whose trailer had missing compartment doors, a tarp covering the roof, numerous items such as an old battery strewn about the outside. On the second day of our three-night stay they cut hair outside, didn't clean it up and the breeze that night blew the hair all over our campsite. Pretty disgusting! All for $54/night. read more

We stopped here after hiking at Zion National Park. The staff was very friendly; however, our tent site was DIRTY. Beer cans, beer tops, plastic chip bags all over. In addition to the trash, there are roaches and ants all over the place. There also isn't a convenient place to park your car and the tent sites have you placed two feet away from your neighbor. We were told that we got the "best campsite" because it has two trees... unfortunately those trees didn't even protect us from the heat. Definitely not worth $40 a night. read more

Great short stay here. This KOA was clean and well kept. A highlight for us was the flat gravel tent sites. You can't beat simple pleasures like not sleeping on a slope. The showers and bathrooms were all very clean. I left off a star because although this KOA is only about an hour from Zion (which is why we decided to rest our heads here) the tent sites are right next to the freeway. So you get Lots of freeway noise. The other reason is because our tent was situated by a flag post that had this weird light on it. Not even sure what the colored light meant but it sort of kept me awake. Otherwise great stay close to Zion. read more

This place is terrible, do not stay here. There was a fire on the freeway and the fire department wanted the campground evacuated and the office didn't even bother to tell us! They have no safety protocols! They couldn't even be bothered to help us find another KOA to move to. It's just asphalt on the freeway anyway, many better places to stay! read more

We stayed here for 4 nights. Customer service was fantastic. When m sister booked our reservation she told them the sizes of our 5th wheels. However when we both to there to check in our 5th wheel was too long to fit in the spot assigned. The clerk could have just moved us to a new spot but instead took the time to juggle things around so my sister and I would be next to each to each other. After we parked and got set up my first step was pretty high I told my husband we needed to find a step the next day as I was having a hard time getting in and out of our RV. Nope no need one of the maintenance guys noticed the issue and brought us a step to use and placed it for us. Facilities are maintained well bathrooms were clean and tidy at all times. Stopped in without a reservation and with the office closing for the day. I was greeted with super nice staff that stayed open to get me checked in. A very nice man escorted me to my site and he even changed my site when he saw a nicer spot open. Traveling with two dogs they do have a dog area but it would be a tad nicer if it was a fenced in area to go off leash. The sites are small rock as well as most of the streets....not much grass for the pups. Thank you KOA for the nice stay! read more
