St. George Tavern is touted.as "the oldest pub in the oldest city (in the U.S.). Don't imagine Spanish settlers sitting down here for pitchers of sangria or glasses of wine. It's not really that old. It was established in 1941. Still, it's a cool dive bar to drop into and get a cold beer at a reasonable price. Keep in mind, it is a bar where smoking is allowed but the service is friendly and fairly quick. A cool place to visit if you're into dive bars.

So St George Tavern appears to be that spot for locals and tourist. I love this kinda place. It is old and it is seedy and my heart beats at the very thought of this kinda bar. Today we were one and done but we will see you again! Thanks for the air condition and an ice cold brew. See you soon!

Visiting St. Augustine is always a treat! We stopped in on a beautiful Tuesday morning to check out this quaint bar. it was one of the oldest bars in STA. Because it was so early in the morning, we only had club sodas, but we spied a fried bologna sandwich, and decided to order one to share. We took it with us and headed to the beach. By the time we got around to eating our sandwich, it was cold, but let me tell you it was absolutely delicious! I can only imagine what it would've been like had we eaten it right away. We definitely will be back, and this time it will be eaten hotttt!

Loved this divey little bar! Heather is a great bartender. The drinks are strong and inexpensive. Would definitely be coming back when I'm in town.

Tony and I stopped at St George's Street Tavern in St Augustine Florida. This was our favorite dive bar in St Augustine. It was a little dark inside, cool from the heat and crowded, but nice. The bartender was friendly. Tony was happy because he finally found Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. I ordered Brewed Iced Tea which was very good!! Definitely would go back!!!

This was our favorite spot for drinks during our stay in St. Augustine. We stopped in everyday. Jill the Bartender was great! Strong pours, and very reasonably priced. We didn't have any food, which is served daily until 3pm, but our shuttle bus driver who frequents this spot said the food was delicious. Cannot wait to return to St. Augustine and the Tavern.

If you're in St. Augustine, do yourself a favor and check out Treylor Park!…read more We grabbed seats at the bar and immediately loved the vibe--super friendly atmosphere, really clean, and a menu that's anything but boring. One of the coolest touches? A TV disguised as a piece of art that's actually a live stream of downtown St. Augustine. Such a fun, unique detail! Now let's talk food I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos, and WOW--they were packed with flavor. The grits added this unexpected crunch that worked so well with the shrimp. The textures blended perfectly and made every bite interesting. My husband went for the Miyagi beef tacos... and let's just say there were zero leftovers. He cleaned his plate, which says everything. Great vibes, creative food, and a memorable experience all around. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

It got pretty busy while we were there, but impressively, they were running with just one server--and he absolutely held it down. Despite the crowd, he stayed attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly, which really stood out. The menu is where things get especially interesting--unique, playful, and definitely not your standard fare. I tried the chicken apple pie sandwich, which was as unexpected as it sounds. It was fun, different, and surprisingly good! It is one of those dishes you won't find just anywhere. Husband loved his upscale bologna sandwich and the waffle fries were yummy! Overall, Treylor Park delivers on atmosphere and creativity. It's a great spot if you're looking for something a little outside the box with a fun, energetic vibe and memorable food.

I'll start by saying this is probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had…read more The parking lot is tinyyyy. The restaurant is tinyyyyy. St. Augustine is a busy place. Therefore, this gets a long wait for breakfast/brunch. It's hard to get a parking spot but there's free parking across the street. They have a big waiting area next to the restaurant which is definitely needed as we ended up waiting like 45 minutes around 9:30 am on a Saturday. The food was definitely worth the wait though. I got the burrito smothered with sauce and cheese and the flavor was fantastic. Flavorful but not super spicy or anything. It's also HUGE. Highly recommend. Service is a little questionable, if it was quicker they could probably help with their long wait. It was hard to flag down our girl when we needed something & it took ages to get to check.

The service showed a real lack of knowledge and attentiveness. When I ordered whole milk for my coffee, the response was essentially "is half and half okay?" -- no, it is absolutely not okay. These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.
