My favorite place to go when I have time off or to see all my good friends, spirited people, nice view of brewery mulch, live entertainment on weekends, great bartenders. read more

Dive bar. Well popular for good decent band to play while having a few drinks. This is a frequent bar by some locals but mainly tourist. In town, it is know to be the non casual bar. Expect elicit drugs to be offer as this bar is geared towards allowing local dealers to roam free into the bar and mingle with it's customers. Type of bar to keep an eye on your drinks for sure. Nevertheless, the attraction is the atmosphere provided by great music and live bands. Overall, not a chill or relax type of bar. Other bars in town offer a more comfortable atmosphere and ability to have a pleasant conversation with friends or family. This bar is okay if you want to have a semi wild time. read more

AWESOME... and yet in a Bisbee kind of way, totally strange! The first thing you notice is all of the REAL authentic nick-nacks. So cool. Next coolest thing: The locals. After that it has to be the local beers on tap, and the dive-bar atmosphere... It ain't fancy, but it sure was aheck of a load of fun... the bar was full of bikers, lesbians, and music ranged from disco through 80s pop to hard rock on the juke box! Weird and totally cool. read more

A dive bar than can hold its' own against any favorite dive bar you might care to compare it to. Great local scene, fantastic live '80's hair band, dancing and ridiculously strong drinks. Be prepared to stumble. read more

when the husband and i walked up to st elmo, i wasn't exactly sure what to expect before he pulled the door open for me. just a dive bar that seems to be where the locals of bisbee like to party at. there was a guy falling asleep on the stool next to me and the bartender yelled his name a couple times to tell him she had ordered him a cab. that was kind of funny. i think st elmo is just a great place to people watch. but not really my scene. service was friendly and efficient! read more

Local flair and cheap drinks. The night we visited they had a great 80's cover band. I agree with the other reviewers - this place is definitely weird. But we had a blast hanging out with the locals. read more

Best bar in town to catch the local "flavor." Good drinks, great bartenders and always interesting scenery. The stuff on the walls make this place a must see, every time I go in, I notice something I haven't seen before. It's also "historic" being the oldest bar in Bisbee (since 1902). read more

St Elmo Bar - Bars Near Me - Bisbee, Arizona

Our small group (me, friend, and his girlfriend) walked into St. Elmo at around 11:30 on a Friday night. It was fairly busy, but you could get into an empty spot at the bar with ease and get your drink order in. We had already had some beer at the Brewery so we were all in for mixed drinks. As the night went on, we got a whiskey sour, a Bloody Mary, a michelada, and many Tom Collinses. Despite giving off the image of being a beer and shot dive bar, all of the drinks were affordable, strong, and super tasty. As soon as you go in, you'll see the bar and some seating on the left side and steps leading to additional seating, a small dance floor, and space for DJs and musicians to perform. When we walked in, a DJ was playing pop and hip hop music and a few ladies were getting down. Later on, a local rapper (and fellow Boricua!!) took the stage for a small set with a backing track. He was alright, but the crowd wasn't into it too much. There's a 75 cent pool table and we were able to get quite a few games in without any pressure to give up the table or play anyone else so it was nice being able to play (very suckily), drink, and listen to music at the same time. Despite being local and divey with a diverse clientele (from bikers to hippies to millennials), it's a very chill spot to get a drink and have fun. I'll be back very soon!! read more

St. Elmos is always a good time. Most weekend nights have a live band or karaoke. When thats not going on the juke box has an ok selection. Bartenders are normally nice. If you have a laid back bisbee attitude you will get along with most people in the bar. Love going there with big groups on the weekend and grabbing a table on the other side of the bar. Drinks are cheap and strong. read more

Neat little dive bar! They also sell beer to go! Key if you are staying in any of the hotels nearby.

Pretty cool nostalgic type bar incredible, incredible, incredible live music did I say incredible? They have a dance and pool table it was Chad something Trio darn it I wish I remembered his full name... He gets 5 stars..Looks like Lots of locals hang here and if you get hungry you can grab a yummy bite to eat right next door at the quarry. read more

Kind of a divey place where the locals stare at you when you walk in. My wife and I didn't really feel welcome here, even with my wife's aunt who lived near by. read more

Terrific old time bar from the past..... kinda like the Spirit Room in Jerome...... staff is always very friendly...... prices are decent.... live music events are great....... read more

A very good place to grab a drink. The people and help are very friendly. But I may be biased since I grew up in Bisbee

A family favorite dive bar since 1984! Our home away from home. If I show up in my business suite or in my jeans, I'm welcome and safe as a woman. The bikers and locals are friendly and polite... and a bit protective of this woman of a certain age. I love this bar! read more

Well so I would write a review about the time we had but...... There was a bartender, Fallon, who literally could not have ignored us more, so we didn't get a chance to hang out more than a few games of the porno-claw game. Do yourself a favor and have your fun elsewhere. read more

Total locals dive bar. Don't appreciate snitty comments about "now you'll have to hang with the tourists", if you were in my locals bar I'd talk to you... read more

Definitely the local hang out, a quintessential dive bar for sure. While the bartendress(es) weren't the most pleasant or friendly, the patrons certainly were! Could tell we weren't locals, asked us genuinely nice and friendly questions. The rest of the patrons (who were all locals, clearly) were drunk and solo dancing or playing air guitar to the jukebox...great people watching. Good place to get the last drink of the night! read more

Don't leave a bar tab open you'll be grossly over charged and then made to leave if you question it. Was even charged for drinks I would never consider ordering. read more

The only place we found open until 2 on a weeknight in Bisbee! Really cool local place though. You get a mix of everyone here from the locals who you can tell come here too often to all the tourists coming through town. Cheap drinks though, bartender was a blonde woman who was super cool! Pool tables and a long bar with plenty of seating but then there was extra seating and a little dance floor. Not much of a concept, the walls are filled with so much randomness but that's what makes the place so cool. If you like finding local bars spots in small towns, St. Elmos is a must!! Like I said it had really cheap drinks and has to be the only thing in the town open until 2 so you really don't have a choice...but you will be glad you went! read more

Great assortment of historic bric-a-brac on the walls. Bikers, Cowboys, and other lively characters. Cheap drinks!

Great divey locals bar in downtown Bisbee. They also have live music, but not at the time of the morning we were there! Cheap drinks and lively cliente. The lady was telling us how she exposed her heart-shaped shaven crotch area to her boyfriend on Valentine's Day - in the front yard. read more

Live music and dancing on Saturday night. We were visiting from out of town and hit most of the bars in the city, this one had the biggest crowd. Pretty decent spot. read more

This place was AWESOME' very friendly locals! And inexpensive drinks! And you have to have the most amazing tasting BLOODY MARY, from the BLOODY MARY FAIRY! Excellent! I also bought the shirt off the Fairy's back, because they didn't have my size! Will be back for sure!!! If your traveling you have got to go here, and we went during the day... At night they are REALLY ROCKING! read more

we got food poisoning here, and have been sick for 2 days!

What a fun bar!! Heather makes an awesome Bloody Mary, one of best I've ever had! If you're visiting Bisbee, St. Elmo's is a must stop.

Staff is friendly as hell and they brought water for my dog during the barks and brews festival without me asking. Awesome!

We love this bar, always the first place we go and usually stay the entire night! Fallon the bartender is by far the best! Always super quick and the drinks are always spot on!!! If you don't go to St. Elmo's while in Bisbee and see Fallon at night, you're missing out!!!! Love you Fallon!!! read more

I have been to St. Elmo a few times, and it's been ok. My last experience, however, was terrible. The bartender was intolerable. I ordered a drink, waited about 15 minutes right in front of him at the bar, never got the drink, and finally left. During those 15 minutes I got to watch him play with his phone the entire time to play HIS music. He only played music he liked, which was horrible, and scoffed at anyone who made a request. He was also very busy talking with the "regulars" while I waited. Lastly, he was way too tough guy for my liking. Call me crazy, but shouldn't a bartender (someone in the service industry) serve drinks in a timely fashion, play music the CUSTOMERS want, and be friendly? I don't know, maybe I'm too old school. read more

Best bar in the West. Got felt up by local girl Marisa and drank Tequila with no groceries. Great live music and a variety of oddballs and wineheads like me. read more

Rode our Harley's from California to St. Elmo's bar! Believe me they do not get any better! Drinks are damn good, beer is cold and the people are genuine. Live To Ride, Ride To Live, and Ride To St Elmos's to have a kisk ass time! read more

St Elmo is probably the best bar in Arizona! So, you don't like rude bartenders who over pour, weird locals, bikers, homeless people? Go drink at the HIlton Hotel in Scottsdale!. It smells better but will you have fun? If you are a tourist just don't try to be everyones best friend, sit enjoy, relax and you will fit in fine. BE YOURSELF, a thing most people cant do anymore! This place is funky and fun! read more

I've tended bar for many years now from the east coast to here in most every kind of establishment there is. I'd be lying if I didn't tell you that The Elmo has got to be the realest, funnest place I've ever had the pleasure of serving at. We're always ready to rock ya, shock ya, make ya laugh and above all make ya feel right at home. Next time time you're in town stop in and say "WhooHoo Sue" sent you and have a cold one on me. See ya there in person Thurs.- Sat. nights....come on in and have some fun! read more
