Having had experience with transit systems in other cities, I am rather disappointed in the…read moreinadequate and inconsistent service provided by St. Catherine's Transit Commission. While some bus drivers and call center agents are very helpful and personable, others are apathetic or rude. They balk at going beyond the bare minimum of service to assist you. For example, asking them to let you know when you have reached a stop/address you are not familiar with. I've been told on more than one occasion that the automated system calls it out/displays it on the screen. I am hard of hearing and often have trouble understanding the announcements, which are delayed if a stop is requested (it just says stop requested then just before the bus stops, it finally tells you the street). The display monitor is often not in use, so I can't read the approaching stops. On a recent occasion, I was looking for a particular business and couldn't find it. I boarded the bus at the Pen Center to return home, then saw the place as the driver approached the main road. I rang the bell, and he got very irritated, complained that I just got on, did I want to get off again, and shook his head and rolled his eyes. I had no issue proceeding to the next official stop, but he was all bent out of shape. I told him I just found the business in I was looking for, so he said he'd let me off just up the street from it. Meanwhile, when I boarded the bus, he was standing right in front of the vehicle smoking away, and it was going down my throat. I had to wait until he got on before I could get a transfer, and he was irritated with that request. Despite nonsmoking policies, the prevalence of passengers and personnel violating this bylaw at the downtown terminal despite the presence of a security guard, as well as at other transfer points/staff breaks, is problematic. Being new to the city and having visual perceptual/spatial challenges, the layout of the city and bus routes can be confusing for me. Many bus stops are attached to a pole or stop sign, and very hard to spot. The advice that buses are every half hour so be at the stop 5 minutes before hand is not helpful at all, because they arrive at different times even though they are a half hour apart depending on which direction you are going. There is no online "real time" system depicting when a bus will arrive at a certain stop - you need a cell phone to key in the stop number at the location, which is no good to me because I don't have a cell phone. No doubt, dealing with patrons in a service oriented environment such as public transit can be stressful and frustrating at times; however, professionalism needs to be maintained.

Hello, I spoke with Victor at City Hall and he e mailed City Transit about a concern I had and…read morevictor said he got same e mail as me saying a bus stop won t be put in. Cumming St in St Cath will be getting rd work done soon so the bus stop at cumming and Rykert st. has been removed for the inbound West St cath bus. They put a temp stop up at Leeper St on Rykert St.. Now the inbound West bus from Pen Centre turns onto Rykert St from Pelham Rd. The new stop at leeper and Rykert St to the next stop at Rykert St is about 450 meters. They used to have a stop at lloyd st and rykert st about 5 yrs ago and they moved to cumming st. now cumming st stop gone and the put a stop up further down the road. Basically the distance form Leeper St to Edith St where the stops are now is too far apart. I live in a condo and disables and there are apartments next to me at 37 rykert st with many disabled there. Can you please talk to the St Cath Transit and ask them to put a stop up around rykert and lloyd st which is almost across from the stop they removed, close to condos and apts. If anyone drive please check out the distance from Rykert and leeper to rykert and Edith St. Please e mail me back and let me know. PS they took the stop from Cumming st down 10 days ago and no road work has commenced yet. Ty PLease think of the handi cap and elderly, one day you will be old and maybe even handi capped. I have also now written the Ont Gov that funds the St Cath Tansit and waiting for their return e mail. They have read my e mail and looking into this.

John who contacted me back was extremely professional. He went over Covid protocols for going into Canada and back to the US. Even gave us good times for pickup to make it back to the airport on time. We did find out the two days before the trip that passports were not up to date. Contacted John and he made all the changes for us. Now for the night of the flight into Buffalo. The plane got delayed into Buffalo by about 60 min, so we are now a little after 11 PM to land. We get to the baggage claim area and meet John (not sure if it was the same John as on email). He was amazing and friendly. We waited for our bags, and it appears that one of our bags did not make it with us. John patiently waited with us while we went and filed paperwork with the airline. John still made the night special for us even with all the problems. John got us into the limo and the ride was amazing, he even offered to stop and get us something to eat because everything was closed nearby. The pick-up from the hotel was perfect too. John picked us up in the SUV for the return trip. The car was still amazing and the drive was smooth. Had a great talk with John and he was able to talk about all the history of the area. Not being from there it was extremely interesting. This was an anniversary trip for my wife and me, and we felt like VIPs the whole time. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you all for helping make this great, and for anyone reading this review please know that A Touch of Class will take care of you.

He has high anxiety issues and this was his first time flying alone. He came for Christmas to Saskatchewan. This service was top notch! They were very puctual and friendly. They took very good care of him. The pricing was good especially considering the price of gas nowadays and we will not hesitate to use them again! I emailed them a couple of times because he had a change of his phone number and they were very quick to reply. I was told about Niagara airbus from my daughter who used to live there for many years and has used their service herself. Thank you Niagara airbus for helping this stressed gramma! You are the best and we will use you again in a heartbeat!!!

I was picked up in one of the older white buses and I swear it didn't have any suspension. The ride was horrendous and as the first one picked up by the time I arrived at the airport over 3 1/2 hours later I could barely walk as every pothole the bus went over you felt like you were being slammed down. My back and neck were jarred and my right hip was in agony. I contacted the company the following day about this and have called numerous times since to no avail. One of the managers Tony promised to call me a couple of days after my return and to date I have heard nothing. A month later and I still have pain from this bus ride to the airport. The return trip was better and the vehicle's I returned on were in much better condition and the ride was much better as I has to transfer from a bus into a car in the Grimsby area making the return trip only 2 1/2 hours but I will never again use this company to travel anywhere. I can't even give a comparison maybe a combination of a roller coater ride you can't get off of and while being jarred, while being on the back of a bronco when it lands hard. It didn't start out that bad but after over a 3 1/2 hour bus ride it seemed like the bus ride to hell.

We chose to ride the full route without getting off so we could see everything and could decide later if we wanted to come back to a stop. The bus was pretty empty and for quicker attractions like the floral clock and whirlpool the driver got off with us so we could snap a few closer pictures. These were the sort that were nice to take pics, but you wouldn't want to stop for a full hour stop for like you would for the boat ride or other stops offered. Even though my parents had been to Canada before they agreed that they saw more than going on their own since you don't need to navigate or google good tourist spots. The full route took about an hour and a half. They provided history of the area, gave pointers on what was around, and kept us entertained. If you choose to get off at a stop they come back to pick you up about an hour later. The driver said he also does wine tours on the weekends.

I'd like to give this a five star review. I just can't. So let me tell you the very fine things…read morethis company did and why I'd use them again. The reservation for this tour was easy and Sheila, at Double Deck Tours, was honest when she told me I would have no difficulty getting tickets for myself and my husband when we checked into the DoubleTree by Hilton in Niagara Falls, Canada. At the DoubleTree we spoke with their representative, Jesus, who explained the tour, where we would visit the next day, and we bought the tour. The bus showed up on time. We were the first stop for the bus and we garnered seats on the top in the front row. As the bus wasn't at full capacity, we were able to each have a separate seat. We visited behind Horseshoe Falls and tunnels after a short trip past the dam. Nadine gave us a lot of information about both the hydroelectric plant and the area in general with some amazing stats on how much water flows over the falls each minute...Oh My!!! Next we viewed a river whirlpool by crossing over on the Whirlpool Aerocar. What a treat for me as I've white water rafted and looking at those class 6 (maybe 7 if there was such a thing) scared me. I was glad I was way up high and if you look at my pictures you might feel the same!!! We visited the Flower Clock next after driving past the Niagara Parks Conservatory. Wish we'd had time to visit the Butterfly Conservatory. After a driving tour to see other sights pointed out we landed at the Hornblower Boat Tours. So glad to skip the lines and move to the front. It was a hot day and we were sweating as it was. The ride on the Hornblower was FAB! Used to be "Maid in the Mist", but they lost the bid to the Canadian concession "Hornblower." Now as to why I gave this group only three stars as I did have a stellar day. When I called Sheila at Double Deck, before I arrived, I was told I might like to book at the hotel as the walk back to the DoubleTree by Hilton was a six block walk up a steep hill and Niagara was experiencing a heat advisory. It was twenty extra US dollars per person, but well worth it considering a long day with lots of sight seeing, so being taken back to my hotel was a plus. However, more than three times during the day Nadine, our tour guide, expressed how many people liked to just stay at Victoria Park after the tour and not be returned to the DoubleTree. Saying it once was fabulous. Given the option was a wonderful thing. But for me the repeated statement gave me the opinion that they really didn't want to make the ten minute drive back to the DoubleTree. As it was, three couples returned. Niagara Falls was under a heat advisory! To top off the bad taste of these comments, we were told to return to the Welcome Center by 3pm to meet the bus. We got off the Hornblower at 2:50 pm. I felt very rushed as we fought our way through the crowds to get back as fast as we could, finally arriving at 3:05 pm. The bus wasn't even there. We waited for it to arrive. At least there was a place to sit in shade. Would I use this tour group again? Yes. Would I share with Nadine what her words suggested to me? I guess I am by this review. I would tell her how much of a turn off it was to think I would be left behind to take a difficult walk during a heat advisory which would be stressful to me.
