Ultimately, I think if you do one of the boat tours, you get a closer view of the falls, and this attraction isn't really needed.

There is currently some preliminary information on display. I saw no one in the entire complex except a lone janitor desperately searching for something, anything at all, to clean. This station is still pristine with that new car smell so it will be a while before anything gets dirty. This is a small but very nice station that would make waiting for a train quite relaxing. Once the museum opens in 2017, it will offer a glimpse into the exciting history of this remarkable city that struggles to regain its footing in the 21st century.

We watched for awhile and then made our way to the elevator for the tunnel and viewing station. We went 180 feet down & it felt like 60° inside the tunnel, which is 1/2 mile long. It was freezing!! Upstairs it was in the high 80s. We took photos of the tunnel going in because it was so different. We loved looking at the multi colored lights on the falls which looked like the aurora borealis. On our walk through the tunnel going out I enjoyed the lights again. More photos! We did not take ponchos off. It was cold! They kept us warm. I took photo of rainbow in the tunnel. Got in the elevator to go up, and when we arrived upstairs it was warm!!! Ponchos off! Before leaving we went to the gift shop to purchase souvenirs. Best purchase? Tee shirt with BEST. DAY. EVER. on it. Because it was!

There were some fun moments of learning that I'd say were suited for kids 10 years and up. The real gem is the underground walking path that takes you right to the falls for a truly unique feel. We spent a good amount of time taking in the sites and seeing how massive the falls were compared to our small bodies. Be prepared for a little bit of moisture and splash back from the waves. While admission may seem steep at first at $35, it really was worth it to get such a wonderful view of the falls. I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting Niagara Falls and wanting to commit to one of the major attractions for great views.

The views of the falls from up close were truly stunning and unforgettable! This is a must do when visiting the Niagara Falls! Don't miss out!

If you're on the American side you can do the Maid of the Mist boat ride, they both take you to the same spot. American boat rides were blue ponchos while the Canadian side wears red. One of my favorite parts was the big I NY sign outside. It makes for such a fun photo! And inside, the photo opportunity kiosk was such a creative touch. You can snap a picture and send it to yourself right from there. If you're passing through, definitely take a few extra minutes to stop here. It's clear a lot of care went into making this a place people can actually enjoy.
