Great way to get up/ down while visiting the falls. Save some shoe leather and get a view of Horseshoe falls to boot!

This is amazing way to get to and from Table Rock where much of the attractions and busses as well as the amazing Table Rock House restaurant are and Fallsview where much of the hotels and high rise dining options are located. My wife, our friend, and I arrived by Flixbus with a wheelchair, five large suitcases, and 3 carry on bags and we weren't sure how long a wheelchair taxi would be available so my wife and our friend ended up taking the funicular up to the Embassy Suites across the street from the Fallsview stop (I think there is a ramp from the hotel but it was closed for the season) as I took an Uber XL with all the luggage. I must say I think we could have managed it all there as there was plenty of space for wheelchairs and luggage. My wife and I rode it two times in the evening in both directions and once in the morning to Table Rock. The price is reasonable, staff are friendly, and views are amazing.

Pocket‑friendly funicular with million‑dollar views. Two toonies buy you a smooth, one‑minute climb with floor‑to‑ceiling windows framing the Horseshoe Falls. Cars were clean, staff courteous, and the ride saved us from a steep, chilly hike. Five stars for value, accessibility, and panoramas that beat any elevator selfie.

Heading up to the Casino!

Excellent way to get from the Falls near Table Rock to the nearby Falls Casino Resort. You can also take the easy route walkway from table rock to here but this method is just a bit more interesting and fun. If you have the adventure pass it's free to ride for three days. The railway moves slowly and you have a spectacular view of the Falls as you climb the slope, especially if your in one of the front row seats. Once you get to the top you can still snap photos of those great views from the walkway to the Casino. Along the walking path above there are many more great areas to take photos. I definitely recommend checking this little ride if you are in the area.

When in Rome? Canada is close enough I suppose. This attraction is a must do at least once while visiting Niagara Falls. It takes you from the main throughway of hotels and restaurants down to the falls visitor center and falls itself. It's reasonably priced but not much more than a different type of "elevator" experience. I suppose I'd do it again as it was convenient and economical but if I weren't staying in the same hotel I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to get back to the incline Railway.

Took this Aug 2019 - if you plan accordingly you can get a day pass for unlimited rides... it was $7 CAD / pp... but lines can be really long and you will be waiting for a bit.. Was a quick ride and was tired to walk all the way around from the bottom to the top and with short or no lines at 6pm, it was great. CAD 2.75 for one way ride to the top vs 30 minutes around and up when you're tired at the end of the long day. smooth ride...so just enjoy it. Long lines are usually from top going down every time I passed by... Note: Prices increase every year...

Get ready for your 'blink-and-you-miss-it" adventures as the sign says!

While the time to read this review will likely be longer than the trip down the incline itself, it is quite the yarn to experience. The rate increased to $3.00 for a one way experience, but it is near to board the trolley and sit up in the front. With social distancing measure in play that divides the benches, it's certainly saves a bunch of time while traversing a piece of history. I would recommend taking the tram downwards if you do decide to splurge on then$3.00 one way trip! -Zuk

Most boring attraction in Canada.
Omar Z.

Not overly impressed. It was pretty slow going at times with one worker running the operations. It would have been nice to say you can get a wonder pass that covers this instead of charging people one way trips. I think they just try to get as much money out of unsuspecting tourists who don't know any better. The alternative is to walk down from the main streets and it might take about the same time if you are made to wait for a long time like we were. If you are staying at the embassy suites and or either one of the Marriott it's convenient but the hotels should also just cover the cost of this contraption. We should not have to pay for this dumb ride

Great option to move around, included in the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass
Daniela B.

The railway is a great option for transportation and also as an attraction of its own. We took it as part of the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass and it was worth it. It's fun and a good option to get close to the waterfalls, specially close to attractions like the Hornblower. It's very well kept and the staff is friendly. Tip: Get the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass, the bus and railway are included and they are all you need to get around.

Convenient and fun ways to negotiate this hill W/O walking miles every night. Incline railway.
Theresa E.

It's not really possible to rate this business less than a 5. Seriously. Either it got you up the hill or it didn't. In every case (in my point) it did. Up the hill success. Better than that, I didn't have to walk around the giant block. For mere pennies I was able to circumvent the city block, and cut a half hour of walking and shoot straight down the hill. When I was staying at the Radisson and the Embassy that especially good stuff. Less so when I was housed east of Clifton Hill.

Dave O.

The Falls Incline Railway is probably one of the shortest rides in all of Niagara Falls whether or not it's a attraction is subjective - I've always treated it like a mode of transportation because of the time it saves getting up and down the hill. If I were to stay at one of the hotels in the immediate vicinity I may spend the $7.00 (5.40 USD) per person on an all day pass but my interest this trip was only to get up and down once so I opted to pay the $5.50 (4.25 USD). The steep incline was originally known as the Horseshoe Falls Incline. The line was built in 1966 then was renamed in the 1980s. Originally built with open-air cars, it was rebuilt in 2013 with enclosed cars to permit year-round operation. The entire length of the tracks is only 196 feet and pitched at a 30 degree angle and takes only 62 seconds to transverse the hill traveling at a whopping 2.2 mph. If you're never ridden it you should at least once if for nothing else but to help the city justify the seven million dollar renovation cost and since you've traveled here why not...

On our way to see the falls
Connie P.

Well it's April and of course the day we stay in the falls it snows. Wet snow too boot. Staying at the embassy suites you walk out the hotel and you get to see the falls and instead of sliding down a muddy hill you can take this train right down to the falls. Been here several times and never took advantage of this. It's a great view and keeps you dry. Small fee 2.75 one way, 5.50 2 ways and 7.00 option for the whole day. It comes in handy if you don't want to walk up one of the streets and get some exercise. If in the falls take a ride!!!

Lambert P.

It's a completely tourist thing to to but why not? A short way to get from the top of the hill from the Fallsview, or other tall hotels without having to walk to Murray and going down the longer way, this is a bit of a shortcut. We ended up walking all the way from the Floral Showcase (greenhouses) all the way up the river and up Clifton Hill to Victoria. We took the long way back down towards Fallsview but wanted to ride the incline so we walked to it. It was 2.75 a person one way for the very short trip down but you had a nice view and a short ride back down the hill. It's not very different from the inclines in Pittsburgh although this one is much newer and the grade is not as steep or as long. You do also get a good view going either up or down since all the seats face the falls.

View from inside the lift.

Yes, the tour guide told me, a 7 month pregnant lady, to go f*k myself, screaming it at me, on the street (side walk) i front of public crowds!) STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Erez was late by HALF AN HOUR to pick us up in the morning. But he was specific to mention to us how much he needs everyone to be on time. First off, erez seems like a nice guy who's on edge. Like a military type of person except angry, frustrated or jusy plain unstable. He'll be VERY adamant about how much time you can spend at each spot, giving you 10 minutes at the whirl pool view, so many minutes for lunch (we had to inhale our food, not even finishing my soup because we had to run out to the bus to follow this guys schedule). He specifically said to us to "wear blinders while in the gift shop and not look at anything at all and get back to the bus, it is NOT the time to shop", wow....ok.....he'd give us a time to be back at and emphasize to be there 5 minutes before that time. Okayyyyyy. Whatever guy, we're easygoing, we'll go along with your system. We follow this guys very nervous demands, because whatever, even though his timing is overly tight and unrealistic. it is what it is. On the last stop, he said to come right back from the hornblower boat tour straight to the bus. He didn't give us a time to be bk, just said to come straight to the bus. Okay got it. After the boat tour, i, a 6 and a half month pregnant woman, had to use the bathroom. There was a line unfortunately which made us 15 minutes "late" to the bus also, the walk back to the bus is an uphill walk, which is hard for me at the moment. I can't exactly, run. When we boarded the bus he began yelling and scolding us infront of everyone. It was humiliating! We didn't say anything and let it go, we arent loud people. When we let out, he was expecting tips, so i told him, we usually tip but it doesn't feel right because he scolded us while all we did was go to the bathroom, then he looked at me right in my face and yelled "i wasnt expecting a tip from you people anyway", what does that even mean? Because we are hispanic??? We are working professionals, engineers for aviation, and I'm a fashion stylist.... we tip. He kept yelling we were 15 min late, at me.....this guy is NUTS. 15 lates from what time? He never gave us a time. My brother then saw him yelling at me and then spoke up "you were late this morning!" He then said to my bro and me "GET THE FFFFUCK OUT OF MY FACE!" About 5 to 7 times! I couldn't believe it. I called him a piece of shit as i walked away. This tour company has ruined a lovely vacation, as we will take this ugly memory with us unfortunately. Not sure what their hiring process is, but they obviously hire mentally insane, emotionally unstable, personnel. Unless you want to be rushed at every stop, and scolded, STAY AWAY!

Normally tours don't stop and spend much time at the floral clock, but even though it was raining, we stopped and were given ample time to walk around the area. E. Hornblower tour was great, getting even closer to the falls than the maid of the mist ( we went on that one the last time) F. Journey behind the falls introduction was nice with just our group, which we got a little split going down to the tunnels, but we never get rushed to have to "get back to the bus on time". I am a punctual person anyway, but I also respect other people's time and the driver's. My daughter was a little disappointed that we didn't have a Canadian guide, but George gave us a great tour and an experience we won't soon forget.

It's not just a "room with a view"--it's the view that you see all over social media, but even more breathtaking in person. From sunrise mist to the illuminated falls at night, I had front-row seats to one of the world's greatest natural wonders without even leaving my room. Late summertime is the best time to visit. Slightly cooler temperatures, less people and fireworks every night. The hotel itself was comfortable and the staff were warm and professional. The spa is nice, offering a relaxing atmosphere. There is a beautiful Falls view in upper level superior rooms. Hotel Pool stay open to 11 at night. This hotel is close to many food spots, which are walking distance. They have good food at the buffet too in hotel. Cons Defintely not four star as advertised. More like a three star. Upon arrival, there's no welcome drink or immediate help; you have to handle everything yourself with lugguage. which can be hard for those who need extra assistance. They do have a bell hop but very limited . Upon arrival and departure there was one person. The carpet area in lobby and rooms need shampooing badly. Rooms have beautiful views on upper levels , but outdated. The front desk service was mixed; one staff member was excellent, but another rushed me, which is not acceptable when guests are paying their money. The spa charges an additional fee to use Oasis pools/ Jacuzzi; which is unusual for most spas, since they typically include it with the massage services. This additional fee still feels like a drawback. FYI -There are not actually pools in the spa area just jacuzzi and cold plunge, sauna etc. While the pool staff was great, with Kevin standing out, and Beth at the spa being exceptional the pool area is outdated. The ceiling is peeling and looks like a YMCA pool area. In addition , my massage at spa was okay. But no timer was used to ensure guest are receiving their full time paid for. I know I did not receive full time. All spas I have visited , use a timer to make sure you get your full time.

The front desk and bellhop staff were very friendly. We reserved a Fallsview junior presidential suite and were happy with the room set up and amenities. This hotel is located a the very end of the main road running through town, so it offers a perfect blend of having nearby access to everything without having everything and everyone on top of you. Here are the things that could have been better; Our Fallsview room was HOT because of the sun coming in through the wall of windows and there not being adequate ventilation for the air conditioning in the main living room area. We had to shut the shades when we left the room to block the sun and open the door to the hallway when we were in the room just to get some cool airflow inside the room. We stayed in a junior presidential suite for 3 nights and we never saw housekeeping. We helped ourselves to new towels and toilet paper off the housekeeping cart that was in the hallway and took out our own trash daily. The trash cans are SO SMALL that we filled them up quickly. Someone in our group has a disability placard that allows access to nearby parking, but there were only 4 accessible parking spaces at this hotel. We asked at the front desk if there was an alternate solution since the majority of available parking spaces are located in a lot across the street from the hotel, making the trip from hotel to car excessively long. The front desk allowed us to use the valet only parking garage as an alternate solution, which was a good compromise. There was always a long wait for elevators, like excessively long. We realize we were staying in a busy hotel in a popular touristy area, so we had anticipated there being a busy lobby, but nothing could prepare us for what we actually experienced. Thankfully, we always request a room on a low floor, because a member of our family has mobility needs, in case there's an emergency and the elevators aren't available and we need to use the stairs. I wasn't aware that we would be using the stairs daily because it was faster to walk down 4 flights of stairs than wait for an elevator. I know this review seems like we had more complaints than likes about staying here but the view and location were most important to us and this hotel certainly checks those boxes.
