We booked the tour in advance and we're very excited. We arrived at our stop where the school bus was waiting for us. As soon as we were finished boarding, we were informed that our guide for the day would not be joining us. I was pretty disappointed as I was looking forward to learning more about the wineries and about the area as a whole. The bus driver did her best and shared facts as we stopped at some of the wineries. The real stand out of the tour was Flatrock winery which had a beautiful view and had delicious wine. We stopped at Petticomb winery for lunch and the food was not good at all( pack lunch)and the winery was more of a farm. The wine here was okay. We stopped at 4 wineries in total and they were mostly subpar(I will not name them). With so many beautiful wineries in the region, I was hoping to see some of those and actually have a tour. These stops were more of a tasting and no real tour. I do believe this may vary based on the wineries that you are able to visit during your tour(which changes daily). It was a rather disappointing and I wish that I had just driven myself to some of the more grand, beautiful wineries and did the tours that are offered. Overall, the tour was okay. It was reasonably priced, I didn't have to drive, our bus driver was awesome, and some of the wineries had beautiful views. I got to chat with some new people and gain new experience. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!! They cancelled my private tour 30 minutes AFTER it was suppose to have started...VIA A TEXT MESSAGE. And to this day, I still haven't heard a voice from anyone (Larry or Joseph) since 10:25 AM (5 minutes before my pick up time) the morning was what was supposed to be my tour. I had missed a call & voicemail message from Joseph at 10:15 AM asking me to give him a call, I just happened to call him at 10:25 to let them know my group and I were downstairs and waiting. At this point I am informed by Joseph that my driver had gotten into a fatal accident on her way to pick me up, and they he had tried 2 other drivers, but didn't have anyone to pick up my group. He then suggested while not suggesting that we drive ourselves, but we didn't have a car so that wasn't even an option. He tells me he is going to call me back in 10 minutes, he needed to try another driver and after waiting 30 minutes to no call back, I called him. That call and the 2 that immediately followed went to voicemail (that is not professionally set up at all). After the 3rd call I get a text message saying that he couldn't find a driver and would call me back shortly, which turned into I would not hear back from him until after 4PM which was a response to my call and text message at 2 PM. My WHOLE day, MY BIRTHDAY was ruined because this 5 1/2 hour tour was the plan for my birthday. I had to keep reaching out to Larry, who also was taking his sweet time to respond, but stated (in a text message) that the driver was in an accident but it wasn't life threatening. They didn't offer me an alternative OR a refund, I had to demand my refund, since everyone decided to stop communicating with me. I still have not be FULLY refunded. I have a dispute with my bank to get the balance that is still owed to me. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM....there is definitely something fishy going on with these two. Great way to see several wineries that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. The thing we enjoyed most was that 4 of the 5 wineries set aside a 'guide' to show us around & talk about what them makes them different, or the same, as the other wineries. Joe was our driver and the pick-up locations were convenient for us and all the other couples on the tour. I say 'couples' openly as one was a younger girl (22ish) and her female cousin from Scotland. Joe came on like a Fireball shot at 10:00 in the morning so it took a little bit for us to warm up with him. Boy, does he LOVE his job. :D Once he put the bus in gear after that last stop at the Perfume Factory (just to pick 2 people up- not trying to stop there to shop) and said, "Ok guys- let's go drinking!" we quickly got into party spirit. We bought our 'Tour Tickets' through Groupon for $50 and with the exchange rate- I think we did this tour for 2 for about $37.00! WHAT A DEAL! Our first stop was Diamond Estates and the girl giving the tour was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the business & the history of the company and clearly loved her job. 4 tastings and we left there with 2 bottles. Second stop was Caroline Cellars and they were waiting for us when we barged in he door. No tour here so it was straight to the tastings. I think we were supposed to get 3 but we ended up with 4. Their wines were a bit dry for our palate so we didn't buy any. We went next door to their restaurant for lunch. I ordered the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Poutine, Cheese Plate & Charcuterie Plate. The Poutine was delicious but the other 2 weren't worth the price. On to Konselmann's. This place was beautiful and our Wine host- Ben was AWESOME! He loved his job and it really showed. He was knowledgeable and funny and gave us a reason to come back next time. We bought 2 bottles here. Quick stop at Joseph's which was a complete bust. I don't think they'll be stopping there much longer. The host was bored and a bit 'snippy' when answering questions and after 3 tastings we were out of there in about 10 minutes. NOT A SINGLE PERSON ON OUR BUS BOUGHT ANYTHING HERE. Tells you something about the host & the wines. Around the corner we stopped at Ponsette's Peanuts (or something that sounded like that) and we had a ball sampling nuts and buying up a bunch. Last stop was a newer, completely 'Green' and self sustaining winery. They have their own solar power, collect all their own rain water, and heat the place Geo-thermally by pulling heat &/or a/c from the earth to warm or cool the building. The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and fun and tried to involve every one of us in his Q&A game. We left there with 3 tastings and 1 bottle of wine and smiles all over our faces. This tour was horrible! Don't waste your time. We went to two places and both so unprofessional and horrible. We were supposed to go to three places. First stop was Atlantis wine and all were late harvest and horrible, and no red or white wine. All served in the same glass rushed! After half an hour drive we went to Tapps on Queens, which had 2 small pre filled beer shots. Had to spend 45 minutes so we spend money on food. Niagara Fun Tours offers an amazing Summer Niagara Wine Tour. This tour is normally $109 C but I got an awesome Living Social deal for $39 C per person (plus tip of course)! This tour was well worth it in my opinion, very fun and extremely educational for a wine noob like myself. Our tour guide Joe was quite the character and made for a great day. I read reviews and the website prior to going but was still a bit skeptical on spending 5 hours with a tour group checking on vineyards. We were picked up at the Fallsview Casino at 1115 am, the exact time predicted on their pickup schedule. We spent the next 45 minutes picking up others for the tour which kind of bummed me out. I was feeling like the tour wouldn't be all that fun with all this driving around but I did enjoy seeing some spots along the drive. Joe was great about giving history and background all along the way. The bus was super cute and comfy with some storage space above the seats. Each vineyard gave us at least 3 samples of various reds, whites and the coveted Canada specialty and my personal favorite, Ice Wine. Sugary and sweet in my mouth, Mmmm! Now I've made more detailed entries on each of these vineyards but here's the run down: Stop 1 - Reif Estate Winery - Gorgeous grounds, tasting of a white, red & ice wine. Stop 2 - Kurtz Orchards - Again absolutely beautiful scenery outdoors with a huge fish pond, fantastic food for lunches and tons of goodies for purchase at their market. Stop 3 - Joseph's Estate Winery - Interesting tour of the wine making process, sit down, huge tasting room with snacks to boot! Stop 4 - Konzelmann Estate Winery - Hilarious and highly informative gentleman handling our wine tasting. He gave us four samples OoOo and all were just great. Beautiful views from their balcony! Stop 5 - Diamond Estate Wines - Huge mass producing winery with huge outdoor tents for tastings. My least favorite of the stops as the person conducting the tasting was the least informed, possibly a new employee, and I wasn't a big fan of doing the tasting outdoors in 85 degree heat. I don't know if it was the setting or actually the wines but it was my least favorite stop on the trip. Stop 6 - Caroline Cellars - Fantastic staff! Super friendly, super helpful in making recommendations, plus you get to PICK your three samples! They hand you a description sheet and let you pick what you want while giving extremely valuable advice. They have the *best* ice wine I had the entire day. Who knew Niagara Falls had such a bustling wine scene? I absolutely did not and I feel like we didn't even go to a fraction of the vineyards! The tour lasted until 530 pm! After our fourth vineyard (the tour promises 4 vineyards + the Marketplace for lunch), Joe asked if we all wanted to stop by one last stop and we were all in! A great bonus stop and the extra stop was my favorite along the journey. $39 for a 6 hours and 15 minutes tour that was fantastic --- best deal I've had in quite some time! Ok, this tour wasn't perfect but given the cost (thanks to Groupon) and our awesome tour guide (shout outs to Joe) I'm giving this 5 stars. We went on the winter wine tour and booking was a breeze, all the info you need is on their website if you look for it. Pickup was about 15 minutes late from the Fallsview casino but at least we could wait indoors ..Joe said he arrives late on purpose because so many people come late to get picked up so I guess that could be forgiven. The website this was a 6.5 hour tour but it was a good 8 hours between the time we were picked up and dropped off. This included 3 wineries one of which had a restaurant for lunch, as well as a final stop at a chocolate factory. Besides the easy booking, every stop we made was well planned out. I thought it would be more chaotic handing out wine to 50+ people at once but they were ready when we arrived and had some great choices for us. The lunch we had was delicious and we had some downtime to explore Niagara-on the lake. Ive only ever seen the chain resto/casino side of Niagara falls so this was a great way to see another aspect of it. Joe gave plenty of commentary on the bus ride and was a never ending source of jokes and entertainment...that guy was a riot! This is not like your typical wine tour. You will not be drunk, as the tastings are so spaced out over 8 hours and theres a lot of "free" time. The bus is kinda dingy and could use a makeover but was comfy enough. Having such a large group does slow things down as you have to wait for everyone to board and take their time making purchases etc, but you could always use it as a chance to make a new friend! read more

As someone who has been on 10+ wine tours in Niagara and area, I always love finding new companies and enjoy trying new tours. I organized a wine tour with seven other girlfriends with Larry from Niagara Fun Tours on Feb. 19th and found the whole experience to be very frustrating. The price that Larry quoted for the tour was a little bit less expensive than other touring companies so we decided to go with him. The added bonus with Niagara Fun Tours was that we got to select the wineries and where we went for lunch. Unfortunately, dealing with Larry was very difficult as I would send him info and then he would not reply. Overall, there were twenty emails exchanged between the two of us. With tours in the past with another companies, two emails were exchanged 1) asking how much a tour was 2) a receipt for the tour. With Larry, emails had to keep being exchanged because Larry would suggest a place for lunch and then I'd read that it was closed. He also emailed and said he had no booking for us but later said that he found it. It was all a giant mess. If he didn't have my credit card I would have cancelled the tour because he was not organized and we were all getting frustrated because we didn't know if the tour was confirmed. On Sunday Feb. 19th I was determined to overlook everything that had happened leading up to the organization of the trip. Larry was on time (great) but was not friendly at all. The whole trip seemed like the experience pained him. When he dropped us off at a winery he would say "you talk to the people and I will be around here in my van." When we asked about timing at the beginning of the day he said "don't worry, we'll get to wherever you want to visit today." After a couple hours he informed us that we could not go to our final stop because we had wasted too much time. It was a big disappointment especially because this was not communicated to us earlier. Larry also broke a bottle of wine and left our Air B and B with 12 bottles of wine in his van. He told us that his van was empty and we believed him. When we discovered the box was missing (five minutes after Larry drove off), he did not pick up his phone. Instead, he later called to tell us that if we wanted our wine, we had to drive to Niagara Falls to pick it up (we were staying in Niagara on the Lake). Despite knowing that all of us had some wine on our tour, he wanted us to drive to pick it up. When we communicated to him that his plan was completely unsafe he gave the box to his manager. From there, his manager left the wine in St. Catherine's (since he was visiting his sister there) the following day and left it with a gas station attendant. Did the sips and suds tour! Travelled on an older coach bus to 3 locations all had great cider, beer and wine. Our driver John was funny and kind and definitely knew the area. You get 4 tastings of cider, 4 of wine and 2 of beer. The beer stop Is a restaurant and not an informational sessions like the others. What a fun and different Sunday! Went with my boyfriend on September 20, we had a 2x1 Groupon. The bus picked us up at the Cineplex Odeon (convenient location and free parking) right on time. We got an awesome pair of tour guide and driver, Mac and Nancy, sweet, funny and very knowledgeable of the area and everything around wine. They took us to four wineries and a chocolate factory, the whole tour took about 7 hours! But it's not tedious at all, time flew by. We went to: Reif - 3 tastings Konselmann - 4 tastings and by far the best of the four wineries we visited! They gave us a small tour of the vineyard and the facilities. Palatine Hills - 2 tastings (I did an additional tasting for $1) Diamond - 4 tastings After Reif our second stop was a nice lunch at Kurtz, you buy a lunchbox that consists of a sandwich (on the gourmet side), a side of cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, cucumbers and a leaf of romaine (locally grown I presume), an apple, a cookie and a bottle of water, $12.95 plus tax. The chocolate factory at the end was my least favourite part, but I had my share of samples, mostly chocolate covered walnuts and peanuts. There was another tour inside when we got there so the store was very busy and we had to stay there a little too long for my liking. Booked a tour for two via Groupon and was pleased with the deal. Joe was our tour guide and although some Yelpers may have found his humor confusing, he is a fun and cheesy storyteller. He kinda reminded me of Larry David from Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm and he kept his humor clean. If you're looking for an intimate or pretentious tour, this isn't it. This is a casual tour with practical wine tasting tips. If you're looking for a party bus full of open bottles and hollering, this is also not the tour for you. Joe is like a chaperone who is there to get you from place to place safely and gently remind you of the rules before you break them. Some people may not appreciate that, but it's necessary for a bus of 50 people looking forward to (and enjoying) free wine samples. The Summer Tour takes you to four family - owned estates. See their web site for details. All four were decent and I thought three of four were quite good. (My preferences aligned with Yelp ratings for the individual wineries. ) We stayed on time so we were also able to stop at Piccard's Peanuts which was a nice treat with reasonably - priced snacks including chocolates and ice cream. I thought this tour was a great value for what you get. 4 wineries with 3-4 tastings at each stop and there were some opportunities to order additional glasses of wine, if you wanted. They were quite organized and at many of the wineries, our group had our own private room. We had plenty of time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Lots of information about wine and the wineries was provided during the drive. The tour guides made it clear that no opened food or drink was allowed on the bus and this kept the tour from getting too rowdy. It was an extremely hot day so the bus got warm by the last 2 wineries. Other than that, the seats were comfortable and there was lots of leg room. We stopped at two more locations to pick up other guests and then were on our way. We went to 4 wineries and had 3-5 tastings at each. With a stop for lunch and chocolate. The stops were all decent. Some better than others but overall a great variety. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. He did an excellent job of keeping everyone on schedule. I believe his name was Trevor. Overall a great bang for your buck. If you are looking for something fancier than you will have to pay at least double this price but if you are looking to see some wineries and spend a nice afternoon this is perfect. read more

Where do I even begin... if I could give 0 stars, I would. Me and my group of 12 we're super excited to get on this tour as we have been planning for a month and a half to gather everyone together. drove two hours, half of us slept the night before only to receive such terrible treatment from the bus driver. Our group got picked up at two different locations and we met up at one to get on one bus. The bus drive JOE was awful. Absolutely terrible human i dont even understand why he's still working there as this clearly wasn't his first time behaving like this (can be seen from other reviews) he refused to take one of our friends simply because one was explaining to the other what he couldn't hear (as he was giving his speech with covid protocols which involved no music no phone call no matter how emergency. Someone needs to remind him this is supposed to be fun, people paid for this service not to be harassed and spoken to like a child) anyways while he was apologizing to Joe, Joe said "that's it. I'm not taking you on the tour your apology is not valid" he then proceeded to want to rush away and leave us and pushed another one of my friends off the bus. We weren't going to get kicked off for a stupid reason and not get a refund. Overall we ended up stranded, harassed, no refund and no communication with the company. Terrible company and terrible staff and even worse management. Please save yourself a trip and go to another tour there's plenty of nicer places than this trash. read more

This review was very hard to write as there were many things I really enjoyed, and many things that were awful. Driver: I really like our tour guide. I'd give him 5/5. (Joe). Other reviewers have complained that he gave too much personal detail (about drinking too much in the past), but I was relieved to hear he wouldn't be drinking at all on the tour. Also, as you'll see in the rest of the review, he had to deal with quite a few challenges throughout the day and he stayed calm and maintained his sense of humour. Wineries: 4/5 we went to JOSEPH'S (Not bad, 3 tastings, wines were too dry for me, lots of information on winery and grapes, presenter was a bit stand offish), CAROLINE'S CELLARS (Great, delicious wines, no wine talk, just tastings, also stopped here for delicious lunch), DIAMOND ESTATES (Great, very friendly and knowledgeable guide, nice variety of wines, free charcuterie in store after), and KONZELMANN ESTATE (nice variety of wines, friendly guide, beautiful building and grounds). We also got a bonus tour SMALL TALK (This one was my favourite - Great character, hilarious guide, delicious cider alongside the wine) The tour bus: 1/5 normally I wouldn't bother reviewing the bus, but this was quite the experience! It was a bus they hadn't driven before and it had so many problems. First of all it was a rainy day and the windows didn't shut properly. The seats were soaked! When we came back from the 2nd tour the driver had put a garbage bag on a window and some buckets out. They were fine and hilarious. The PA system on the bus didn't work. Also the doors opened randomly *while we were driving*. Overall, I'd have been quite disappointed if I'd paid full price. Long week-end!!! Went on the micro-brewery and wine tour from a groupon deal that cost us $37.00 a head. Essentially you're paying for transportation to and from different wineries and microbreweries. So it is very convenient and easy as you don't have to map out and think. You will not get a deep education on wine-making or beer-making, there is small chit chat on the bus about some ideas of wine,but that's about it. You also don't have a choice on which wineries you get to go to, where you'd like to eat lunch, and how long you can spend at each place. In the end, we went to two wineries (one good one not great at all), 3 breweries (2 okay, 1 great). Our lunch was a gong show, with us being dropped off at a small grocery store which had a small bbq going. Well, the place ran out of bbq and so we had to scramble to get sandwiches, which also ran out, so we ate salads and chips. Not the lunch we expected in wine country. So all in all, a fun day, but the winery selection was poor. We would have enjoyed going to a larger winery with a proper gift shop where we can buy some good wine but instead were shuttled to a winery that was a converted home where the gift shop was no larger than my child's bedroom. Again, you're at their mercy as to which wineries and breweries they choose, but if you're open to any suggestions this tour is a good choice to get a feel for the wineries in and around the NOTL area. I think next time we'll be mapping out our own winery selections, but for the price, it was a great introduction to the area. read more

We joined this wine tour for a nice day out. We visited four winery's in the Niagara on the Lake area. They run two busses, one was a large coach style which held probably 45 people. We held back and went on the second bus (school bus) which was about 25 people. We seemed to go on a different route than the other bus and being a smaller group not crowed on the bus or at the individual stops Our lunch stop was at Caroline winery and was very nice. The tour ran between 10am to 3pm at a good pace. 100% would recommend and would go again especially with another couple or a larger group of friends. I cannot believe this tour company only has an average rating of three stars! Who else is going to drive your drunk ass around wine country?! I often prefer not to do group tours, as I like to stick to my own agenda and time line, but Niagara Fun Tours is a must for any adult (who likes wine) while visiting Niagara. Niagara Fun Tours is five stars and it all starts at the booking process. It's easy to book your tour and pay online. I've read that the tours sell out quickly, but I booked it approximately three months ahead of time without any problems. We did the Summer Wine Tour for $89 person, but I've heard that there are Groupons or coupons out there, so you might be able to do it for less. Niagara Fun Tours provides a lot of information on their website including bus pick-up times and destinations, winery information, lunch stop information, and more. They'll also send out confirmation e-mails with more detailed information. The e-mails are quite the novel to read, but trust me and just read the whole thing. Don't be the jerk that makes the bus late! They provide four or five different pick-up points, a few of which provide free parking. We were able to walk to the casino, which seemed smart until we came back with a box containing four bottles of wine. It was manageable, but if you think you might purchase more - park at one of the stops! Our bus driver, Tyler, was entertaining and informative. In the middle of the tour, a girl on the bus got very sick. She and her friend were going to call a cab, but I thought it was really nice of Tyler to make sure she would be picked up and found her a less expensive alternative. We visited five wineries during our tour: Strewn, Caroline, Marynissen, Kurtz, and Konzelman, and Palatine Hills. My favorite was Caroline Cellars, because of their wine variety and a lot less "blah blah blah." My least favorite was Marynissen, because they were sold out of all of their whites, so we tasted three reds. I understand that it is good for the winery to sell out, but I would have preferred a different winery to have been selected. The first winery did a more formal tasting: sniff, swirl, be a douche, etc. Each winery did their own shorter presentation and speech. I liked that they didn't explain everything to us five times. We ended up purchasing one bottle at Strewn, two at Caroline, and one at Konzelman. We also stopped for lunch at Kurtz Orchard. I didn't like the stop that much, the food was overpriced and we were there for too long. I would have preferred to bring my own bagged lunch, but I know this isn't realistic. Most people on the bus really liked the food here. Our last stop was at a chocolate factory, Chocolate FX. I'm torn on how I feel about this last stop. It was unnecessary and felt like a ploy to get us to spend more money. It worked though. Almost everyone on the bus (40 people or so?) bought something. There was no tour here - just sampling and shopping. I have to insist on something: do NOT make reservations the day of your tour. The buses often run late, whether it's due to people arriving at their stops late, or taking a little longer at lunch or a winery, so don't be the pain in the ass that asks the driver to drop them off before the chocolate factory. Expect to be gone until 6:00 p.m. So don't make dinner reservations for 7. Or 8. Don't make them at all! Do you hear me?! read more

Tour? Really? So we did a "half day" tour. It was "four" hours. 2 of which was picking up people and driving around. We went to Taps Brewery. For an HOUR! Two warm, flat Beer samples they told us nothing around and they "gave us an opportunity to order food". Scam. this isn't a wine tour, this is a paid bus trip, can't believe I paid money for this... waste of an afternoon. Would have been better to just go see some wineries myself. read more

SCAM ALERT!!!! Niagara NOT fun tours! 0 stars if I could. Paid for the tour and parking just to not even BOARD THE BUS. Started off by being condescended and treated like a child by the bus driver. We didn't even get on the bus!!! We weren't allowed to speak, chew gum, or even literally breathe. Started off with the crazy bus driver announcing COVID-19 protocols and saying that if we don't follow we will be kicked off at any time. We were also told if we spoke we could be kicked off at anytime. My one friend said something to the girl next to her and immediately the bus driver said she would not be getting on the bus. This is DISGUSTING. That man is in the wrong profession! If he is so scared of the virus and people talking then he should STAY HOME instead of coordinating a FUN tour... it was not even close to fun at all. I would have much preferred none of the tedious mind numbing rambling of the old guy at the orchard. Held captive on the bus while he told us how great he was. He was so rude to me and made it clear that for some reason he didn't like me by pouring only a 1/4 inch of tasting into my glass while everyone else got a good size serving. It was very uncomfortable for my companions. I also did not need to know our driver had a drink problem. The tour goes from 10:30 to almost 2:30 with no real lunch stop. We were told we could get food at the last stop 30 minutes to order, receive, eat and pay for our food. They had another group added to ours that was traveling in a SUV type limo so there were far to many people at each stop and getting your tasting was a battle. I even heard one guy say. "Elbows out" to his companion. All in all a very uncomfortable experience. Would not recommend. read more

Wasted day... If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and taste some good wines this isn't the tour for you. All the wineries we stopped at were cattle call wine tastings. The first stop was Puddicombe Farms and country store that felt more like Sam Drucker general store in Hooterville than a winery. The second location was Magnotta which was a box store along the highway and not a winery. The third and final winery was situated on beautiful grounds and scenery but the same bad wine. Their "celebrated" Ice Wine had the nose of olives and not any better tasting. If you think you need this tour as your designated driver no need each wine stop had thimble size samples which based on the quality I should be grateful. The customer services skills at all the wineries was as lacking as the quality of the wine. The highlight of the tour was 40 Creek Distillery great tour given by Chris, the samples and product knowledge and quality were fantastic and a must see. What wasn't a must see was the lunch stop over at an indoor food court, it was 45 minutes long and was just a way to extend the tour and offered zero value. Now if you're looking for a comedy tour this might be for you, Joe our tour guide must have been honing his craft for open mic night at the local Yuk Yuks. Joe proceeded to tell his life story from age 11 to current day. Joe apparently was the local Al Capone of Niagara Falls while still in his early teens. When the tour was over there was relief comparable to your dentist finishing up a root canal and jumping out of the chair and heading for the door. read more

They had no disclaimer in their email telling us that a large group had to be at the same pick up point. Their disclaimer says they will stop at each pick up stop along the route, and wait 5 minutes. Our group was almost split into two tours. They ended up getting us into the same bus, but the representative on the ground of the second pick up stop continued to yell at us abusively about how it was our fault that the tour is delayed EVEN WHEN WE CONFIRMED WITH THEM BY EMAIL WE REQUIRED TWO PICK UP LOCATIONS. Not a SINGLE REP told us OTHERWISE beforehand. The driver continued to yell at us on the bus. He had horrible driving. When we asked him if he would mind helping us take a group photo, he said "YES I DO MIND WE'RE LATE" and stormed off refusing to look at us. We definitely weren't the last ones on the bus. He had no microphone so no one at the back of the bus could hear him. He told us he was cutting one of the wine tours because we're late (Fyi of the five or more pick up spots they only hit two so they were AHEAD of schedule since their tour states they go to EACH PICK UP STOP). Overall their horrible client service, rude demeanour and degrading comments left a sour taste in our mouths and ruined the wine tour. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A TOUR HERE. Your hard earned money is better off somewhere else that understands the value of customer service, honesty and basic human decency. We are not a herd of children to be yelled at especially when the fault is none other than YOUR OWN. Please keep your family members and friends away. Our driver was STEVE. read more

I proposed to my girlfriend that weekend and the tour was supposed to be a thing to do for the first time as an engaged couple. Driver's name: Joe Wolbert Worst tour experience ever: 1. Bad wineries with a terrible very limited selection of wines. 2.DRIVER LEFT US MID TOURE AND REFUSED TO PICK US UP. After the 2nd winery we visited Joe the driver left us behind at a winery in the middle of nowhere. 3. Finally got hold of the driver called him and asked him to pick us up or at least drop our stuff off. With a nasty attitude He refused and said if he were to pick us up he would have to charge us $30. 4. Informed me that he left our stuff outside their office unattended. ( with a lot of valuable items) 5. Called a cab from the winery in the middle of no where to take us to their office so we can get our stuff and drive us back to the hotel. $80 cab ride and of course being left behind mid tour, only got to visit 1 winery. 6. Called the office to figure out a solution, first call I was put on hold for more than 15 mins, then hung up on, later no one picked up at all. Ruined a very special day for my girlfriend and I, wasted a whole day from our vacation, and didn't even get to visit or try the wines as advertised. WORST TOUR, AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!! read more

Loved this business. Found a Groupon for an amazing deal. The first winery we had stopped at was a local family owned establishment. The owner came up to personally introduce himself and explained the process by which every cider was created. We ended up taking a Pinot noir cider home which was delicious. We received this Groupon wine tour as a gift. It is a large bus, so it's great for big groups of friends to do. Our driver, Joe, was entertaining and very nice! There are multiple stops he will pick you up/drop off. I recommend parking at the Perfume Factory--free parking and least amount of time on bus. He takes you to four wineries. Caroline Cellars was our favorite, where we enjoy a delicious lunch, reasonably priced. Reason not giving 5 Stars vs. 4 Stars was visiting one winery (I wish to not name). It was horrible, and quite a long drive off the path. I think NFT is trying to help this winery along, which it needs. It's fairly new, lots of $ invested, yet wines are horrible (and all bottles are $40)! Very disappointing end to a fun afternoon... left a bad taste-literally! read more

Not good. We were the first stop and the bus was 45 minutes late. We drove for 30 minutes - the first winery was basically a sales pitch, they talked about the wine for one minute and then gave us half an hour to wander around and shop. The next stop was a "cidery" where we tried more wine (?) and 7 different kinds of cider. The cider was good but they barely pour you a mouthful of each! The whole bus ride there the instructor was talking about how much we were going to get to drink; at least give 1/6 of a glass full. Another 30 minute drive back to Niagara. The last stop was good but the bus LEFT without us, and 2 other groups. They told us when we arrived that they would come around waving a green stick when it was time to go; that did not happen. No announcement or anything. We had to pay for a taxi back to our car. What a mess, would not recommend. read more

What a great experience!!! We had the privilege of having Joe as our Tour Guide for the winter wine tour and he was absolutely fantastic. He was light and cheerful and very accommodating to every guest (especially when my boyfriend and I were running late and almost missed pick up - he assured us we would not be forgotten. The wineries were great and we were able to sample any where from 2 to 4 wines at each stop. Joe was very knowledgeable regarding the area and all of the wineries and even kept us up to date on his twin brother Mikey's attempt over the falls - no luck! But still very entertaining. I would recommend Niagara Fun Tours to anyone and will definitely be back! One recommendation would be that the sit down area for lunch be just a bit larger..... It was slightly cramped. read more

The first two stops on the tour were just fine in my opinion. My boyfriend and I were attending for our anniversary and we enjoyed the concept of trying out beer, cider and wine and learning about each beverage. Small Talks Winery was very cute and had amazing cider products. The only thing I didn't like was that there weren't enough cheese samples for everyone, and the room was extremely crowded and hard to move around in. Diamond Estates was much larger and we got to try 5 samples of wine including 2 ice wines, which we loved. There was space and plenty of wine to go around, we ended up buying one of the bottles for only $12.00. The last place, Taps on Queen, was awful. We got in and there were 2 samples each of beer for everyone that were poured in plastic cups, that tasted nothing short of Coors Light. There was no direction after this and we followed everyone else and sat at the tables. We thought we would be learning about the beer/distillery but instead we felt like we were brought there to buy food and leave. We were bored waiting for everyone else to finish and there was only 1 stall in the entire pub. The tour ended with us getting dropped off and the bus driver said we could bring our purchased alcohol through the casino, which ended up being false and we had to go around. Went on the Beer, Spirits & Cider tour with Niagara Fun Tours. Great because there were multiple pick up spots and the tour dropped back at these spots at the end. This tour included: a lunch stop at Taps Brewhouse (in Niagara Falls), Vieni Estates (in Beamsville), Puddicombe Farms (in Grimsby), and Forty Creek Distillery (in Grimsby). The last stop was at Monks Chocolate. I reviewed all stops separately. Our driver was Joe and he was very good at keeping us on track and entertained along the way. This was our first tour experience and we were glad to have been able to visit new spots and not have to worry about the drive home. read more

My daughter and I just spend Easter weekend in Niagara and went on the full day wine tour and we have to say the Guide we had named MAC was a very entertaining man... lol he is quite the character with his jokes and silly antics, he was also very informative of what we were going to be experiencing during each winery stop. I will say though that 2 winery stops is more than enough as we found the 5 we went too was actually to many, sort of like the old saying if you seen 1 you seen em all.. in this case been to 2 you been to em all. Also wine tours do not mean you are going to see how they are grown or made , you are basicially learning the history of the winery your visiting and about their wines they make and sampling a few of them 2 -4 samples depending on the one you go too.The best one we liked was Caroline Cellar as we also had lunch there and the food was DELISH a great price. Recommend this place for lunch.The other stop we went to was the Chocolate Fx, choc was expensive but they have a candy dispenser you can try free candy and it is very good. All in all was a full day and decent.But 2 wineries are more than enough to visit.If you want to see how it is made then you better go to youtube because you don't learn that here. read more

"TERRIBLE! Placed on a smelly bus with no indication of where we were heading first. NO tour guide - bus driver tells us after pulling into a random gas station and being parked there for 10+ minutes. Then told that as the guide 'called in sick' all the bus driver could do is open the bus doors and let us out - she could not show us where to go or what to do once inside. One of the locations was not even as advertised on the website (was a completely different stop). Felt rushed the entire time and had no idea where to go when at locations or what to expect. DO NOT waste your money on this tour even if you get a WagJag or coupon not worth it at all! And the best part the company is not responding to emails or calls regarding my complaints! At least acknowledge that it was poor service to have a guide 'call in sick' and not have a back up when you offer TOUR GUIDES!!!" read more

My wife and I decided on a Niagara Falls long weekend for our 22nd anniversary. We took to the internet to search for a wine tour; we had visited wineries on our own through our previous visits, but sitting back and not having to worry about driving sounded appealing. Through Groupon and Yelp, we decided on Niagara Fun Tours--an excellent choice! Joe the driver provided non-stop entertainment and a personal touch...I haven't so many good laughs in many years. In my opinion, he made the tour something that will never be forgotten by either of us. There was a comment in a previous review about the rush for food at that stop; this was certainly not an issue since menus were provided at the 2nd winery and Joe delivered a pre-order. Great soups, salads, sandwiches, and other selections were ready for us on arrival at a great country shop! This was relaxing and scenic, with lots of other local goodies available for purchase. Oh yeah--the wine. Four stops was an ideal number, with in depth tours and presentations at the first two, and more of a focus on the wine itself at the last two. All were perfect choices, and the presenters were also in tune with Joe and the tour. More laughs! We would recommend NFTs to anyone...we'll be back!!! read more

No idea how they are in business. There are so many mixed reviews especially on the driver Joe. My experience with Joe was absolutely awful. For starters he was not at the pick up location at set time we had to pay for an uber to meet at the second winery. He picks us up and lets us know this is an accommodation it never happens ( even tho we know we were on time at specific place and he was not ) but we want to have a good day so we ignore this statement... Joe goes down the road texting and he makes a U turn back to where he just got us to get another group. He spoke with them saying what he said to us then said he's full... we go to the first winery only to pick up the rest of the bus. Joe made us get off, for everyone to get on, then us to get on last... still don't know why... anyways. The driver was on his phone, very strange acting and he hit a curb. I joked that he was drinking wine too and to my surprise there are reviews on google, yelp and trip advisor mentioning him with a drinking problem. This is very very concerning and disturbing. What business would allow a former alcoholic driving a bus to places where they sell alcohol... I WISH I read reviews before purchasing but this never crossed my mind... the wineries were rushed we didn't even buy any bottles of wine and didn't even want to. On the receipt it states that passengers will be dropped off in the reverse order of pick up. Most of the bus got off at the first stop. A girl from the group in the beginning of this review that was told the bus was full was alone on this bus. I don't know what happened there but she was speedster from her group and traveling alone. The bus driver Joe pulled over and went up to her and told her to get off the bus he's not going to the other locations. He strategically got rid of the majority of people, went after weakest link then was going to approach my group of 5. That is so WRONG. He immediately got irrational and was yelling at us he turned violent. My group of 5 were co workers so we were all well behaved this is probably why he thought he could do this because we didn't seem like a threat just like the girl sitting alone. I video taped him yelling at us to get off, in the video you can clearly see the comfort inn not the casino. He just wanted to get home and made a scene. He yelled do you wanna speak to my manager I said absolutely, he ignored that and threatened to call the police. Looking back I wish I called the police but I didn't have service but what he did was completely against policy you can not abandon customers. I do not like confrontation or being treated like this I got off once he was waving his finger in faces and screaming when no one was yelling at him. He then said oh are you guys American? Than I suggest you get off the bus... that was a threat. A threat that doesn't even make sense. When I called the owner Larry... he did absolutely nothing. It has now been one week I emailed him the video 4 times and he says the audio doesn't work even though it works on my phone everyone I sent it to phones and computers. He said the driver had to throw Americans who were drinking on the back of the bus off... they are going to try and lie. No one bought any wine our moods were killed at 9am when we had to pay for a ride then get jerked around by Joe then rushed through winery's. Last time I checked drinking and texting while driving is illegal in both countries, not finishing your job is horrible business and management that does not get back to you is also HORRIBLE business.
