Our guide Tim picked us up at the Fallsview Casino, which was convenient for us, before we picked up one more group of 2. The small group of us (4 plus Tim) was just the right size. Tim was very knowedgeable both about wine and the Niagra region. He took the time to get to know each of us and what tastes were like in wine. We stopped at 4 wineries (all were equally delicious, although I'd have to say my favorite was the red Ice Wine from Vineland) and each time Tim brought us inside, introduced us to the staff, and helped offer suggestions based on what he had learned about us. We also learned the proper way to taste at our very first stop. This was a welcome change from other tours we have done in the past where the tour bus simply stops in the parking lot while you go inside, sample, then come out when you are ready to leave. This was much more personable and made for an excellent tour experience. In addition to the 4 wineries we stopped at the Upper Canada Cheese company to sample their fine cheeses, as well as stopped mid-day in Jordan Village for lunch. The tour was well structured and you had plenty of time to shop after each tasting as well if you wanted to (although none of the wineries/staff were pushy in any way whatsoever.) Overall it was a great day, great experience, and I would certainly consider other future tours with Discovery.

I had missed a call & voicemail message from Joseph at 10:15 AM asking me to give him a call, I just happened to call him at 10:25 to let them know my group and I were downstairs and waiting. At this point I am informed by Joseph that my driver had gotten into a fatal accident on her way to pick me up, and they he had tried 2 other drivers, but didn't have anyone to pick up my group. He then suggested while not suggesting that we drive ourselves, but we didn't have a car so that wasn't even an option. He tells me he is going to call me back in 10 minutes, he needed to try another driver and after waiting 30 minutes to no call back, I called him. That call and the 2 that immediately followed went to voicemail (that is not professionally set up at all). After the 3rd call I get a text message saying that he couldn't find a driver and would call me back shortly, which turned into I would not hear back from him until after 4PM which was a response to my call and text message at 2 PM. My WHOLE day, MY BIRTHDAY was ruined because this 5 1/2 hour tour was the plan for my birthday. I had to keep reaching out to Larry, who also was taking his sweet time to respond, but stated (in a text message) that the driver was in an accident but it wasn't life threatening. They didn't offer me an alternative OR a refund, I had to demand my refund, since everyone decided to stop communicating with me. I still have not be FULLY refunded. I have a dispute with my bank to get the balance that is still owed to me. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM....there is definitely something fishy going on with these two. They only get a star because I have to give at least one to post my review.

These stops were more of a tasting and no real tour. I do believe this may vary based on the wineries that you are able to visit during your tour(which changes daily). It was a rather disappointing and I wish that I had just driven myself to some of the more grand, beautiful wineries and did the tours that are offered. Overall, the tour was okay. It was reasonably priced, I didn't have to drive, our bus driver was awesome, and some of the wineries had beautiful views. I got to chat with some new people and gain new experience.

Funny, I get ghosted from Cory with no direction on a pickup and then he has gall to blame the customer. He then proceeded on sending multiple harassing texts to show his immaturity. You do have to schedule a time, but they ended up not checking the time, they just scanned the tickets I forwarded to my husband's email. Easy enough. So, FYI, the Canadian boat typically has more people on the cruise than the U.S. side. It was packed! Not sure how I would have like that, but those things don't bother them like they do me. They will get you very close to the falls, and you will get pretty wet, but they do give you a poncho before you leave on the cruise. The cruise was about 20 minutes for $42 Canadian dollars.
