It was very well organized and the employees were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a lot of information on what to expect and we placed our order of drinks and charcuterie while we make our candles. They had a few options, a glass of wine or flight. We chose a glass of wine and the charcuterie was a cheese and meat snack pack. It was perfect for the few hours we were there. Nice atmosphere and will be back for another craft event in the future.

Unfortunately the experience wasn't quite what I was expecting or used to getting from wine tastings. It did start off well with the woman working the front desk. She was very attentive and helped us choose our experience. But once we got to the tasting room, it changed. The workers in the tasting room seemed like they didn't care to be there. Service was slow getting us set up as we were seated and left there for a bit before selecting our tasting. Our server was kind when bringing over the wines but maybe she was being spread thin as she was doing almost all of the tastings in the room / having to run around. We originally chose a window seat but moved soon after because there were so many flies that kept landing on us. Moving more inwards helped to an extent as there were quite a bit of black flies and fruit flies in the tasting room (fruit flies were landing in the wine). The wines were decent and had some unique offerings. Did end up buying a bottle of ice wine because it was a great, very sweet dessert wine. I think the experience would have been a lot better if more effort was taken by the estate on the amount of flies (adding traps or thick curtains blocking the tasting room to avoid flies getting in) and if service was more interested. Maybe having specific wine tasting times so the worker can be more involved? Another missed opportunity is the outside lookout over the vineyard is a small platform and a small tasting area in the middle of the parking lot. It would be so beautiful and enjoyable if there was a larger outdoor seating patio that you can sit and drink wine while looking over the vineyard / lake.
