Stopped in for the second time this weekend and had a great experience. Experience: One large bar, no seating. Friendly server. Tastings- 4 tastings for $5, and if you buy 3 bottles of wine, you get one of the tasting fees refunded. Variety- they had a few dry wines but most were labeled some semi-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet, with one dessert wine. I was sharing my tastings and felt that their wines were slightly sweeter than their labels implied. They also make a WHITE Pinot Noir. They have a press that allows them to get the juice while leaving the skins behind. It had a pleasant taste but didn't taste like traditional Pinot Noir. Prices: reasonably priced wine (most $12-$20 range) with some bottles on sale below $10. read more

The smallest winery on the Niagara Wine trail, but still very nice to stop and sip at- the staff were friendly and explained a lot of details on the farm and wine to us. It is easy to overlook compared to the large commercial ventures in the area, but this is worthy of a stop as you go along your wine tour. read more

We came to Long Cliff with a big group for my birthday wine tour and had the best experience! There was only 1 person (Neil) working and a couple other people were there tasting as well but Neil made sure everyone was taken care of. He was very patient with our large group and still took the time to make recommendations to everyone and share the history of the wines. he was so kind and knowledgeable, everyone in my group kept mentioning how great the experience was! not all wineries welcome party buses and Neil went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! read more

Relaxed atmosphere at a family winery that feels personal in the best way. Knowledgeable & very friendly staff. Even split of dry & sweet wines but as we love dry wines, I can attest that those are of solid quality with some interesting varietals. Pleasant relaxing stop on the NWT. read more

We felt very comfortable at the winery! No snob zone. We ventured out from our hotel and picked this vineyard from a list in the area, we made the right choice. Although our stop was brief. We enjoyed a wonderful experience with Don who not only assisted us with our tasting but offered us a great story about the history of some of the wines. Even his granddaughter who only walked in for a brief moment was very nice. Thank you Long Cliff vineyard!!! If we're ever back in the area we will definitely make this a priority stop. read more

Great neighborhood winery. The family has always been great in the community, and they offer comfortable-sized tastings on the Wine Trail. They are smaller, so it is easy to overlook them, but you shouldn't. read more

A friend and I came here on Saturday night, five days ago. This is a cute, family-owned winery. There is no seating. The wines were pretty good. I bought two. The women who worked there were nice enough to let us in for a tasting so close to closing time. The samples were kind of small but I'm glad I stopped here. It was a nice experience and they have a beautiful tasting room. read more

I came by for another visit during the Holiday Happenings event. I tried the Platinum Rosé. It was very a dry rosé, and very subtle. Almost too subtle. I found myself longing for bubbles. The Henneipin Pink didn't appeal to me as much as it did the first time I tried it, but I know my husband and I enjoyed the bottle we had last year so I'm not sure why I wasn't as wowed today. The Hennipin Red had a very distinctive flavor. The cherry came and molasses came through, but there was a faint hint of soapiness as well. They weren't as busy as the other two wineries I visited today, but I felt a little underwhelmed compared to my first visit. Still, I recommend giving them a try. The wines are still a good quality, and the prices are great as well. read more

Such a cute little winery! It's family owned and local which I love. The owners I met are so nice and very friendly. I went for trivia this past Sunday night with my mom and it was a lot of fun. Not too many people but that means less competition and a better chance of winning! We came in second and got passes to come back for more tastings. The trivia had around 20 questions and was $5 and came with four pre-picked tastings one tasting that you got to choose. They let me try a few more free of charge which I thought was so nice of them. Their prices are great-I got a bottle of rose pink for $10. They have a few dry wines but mostly sweet. If you're into sweet wine they have two flavors of niagara that are very sweet that you would probably really enjoy. Another great spot along the wine trail! I will be back to use my free tasting passes :) read more

Stopped by today as a group of 6 and had a good time. Sarah was awesome..she even made us a list of places to visit in Buffalo since we are tourists. With all the talking and drinking, we didn't catch the other girl's name but she was funny and nice :) I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by. The wines were delicious. Our favorites were the dessert wine, the Niagara Green, and the Pinot Magic. read more

this place is a joke. The wine server was a total buzz kill. We walked in as the only customers in the place she said "yeah that music needs to stop right now". Our one friend had a tiny bluetooth speaker playing, and he immediately shut it off. Someone then turned in utter shock, bcuz this was the first time in 8 winery's this happened, and whispered to the person next to them, and she said and I quote "why are you whispering, I didn't whisper about you". From that that point on the group of 18 paying customers felt awkward and unwelcomed. *update : finished wine tour and each one confirmed similar complaints about the establishment. Unprofessional, and rude with customers. One winery told us we were the 5th complaint of the day. read more

Terrible customer service. Customer service rep was rude and abusive to one of our guests on the Hallowine tours for no reason other than it was closing time. I would never go to this winery or purchase their wine. read more

Went here as part of a tour. Nice wines but the woman that served us was extremely rude. They had wine/chocolate pairings included in the tasting which we enjoyed however the attitude of the server left a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be going back. read more

If I could give less stars I would. I came here on a hallowine tour crawl. The wine samples were minuscule here (that we paid for btw) literally like several drops. The entire staff had an attitude problem. Not coming back and will be telling my friends not to come here read more

Established in 2011.

Farmers first, we've been working this same land for almost 50 years, and truly believe the key to a good wine is a successful growing season! All of our grapes are estate grown in our 5.5 acre vineyard, located on the Niagara Escarpment AVA. The natural beauty of the fruit is the real secret to our high-quality wines- made possible because of the unique climate and soil conditions of our "Niagara Escarpment" region... otherwise known as the Long Cliff!

Meet the Business Owner: Don D.

Don has a passion: producing excellent grapes- which he has spent the past four decades mastering. Wine making is his life, tracing his farming roots back to his Great Great Grandfather who emigrated from the Alsace region of France. As the President of Long Cliff Vineyard & Winery, Inc., Don works as grape grower, winemaker and entrepreneur; completely dedicated to producing vinifera wines of superb quality. On any given day he can be found taking on whatever tasks Long Cliff might demand of him, whether it be paperwork or vineyard labor, but what he seems to enjoy most is guiding the family business toward their vision.
