Went on a wine trail today along the Niagara wine trail. This was our last stop and it was a good one. $3 for a tasting and we got six tickets. My favorite options were the almond dream (tasted legit like an almond joy, In wine form) and the chocolate dream (at the end of the cup have them top you off with raspberry, it's the BOMB). They have dry and sweet versions of both red and white, with an snowshoe variety. The hot pepper wine was a favorite in our group among those who don't love wine, it finishes with a spicy unique kick. The bar area is quite large and it was by far the most accommodating for a large group. Also, the wine slushies deserve an A+ rating. They will mix the red and white wines into a master slush. read more

We sampled so many wines here! Lots were too sweet, like the Gold, but the Hot Pepper Wine was very unique and tasted amazing. We bought a bottle of that. Gina was excellent at informing us the difference between each wine and was excellent at small talk. I paid for my wife and her friends to go on a wine tour for her 30th. After all was said and done I asked "how was the trip?" My wife told me about how unprofessional the management at Niagara Landing is. I was honestly shocked due to them being a "big name" in the Niagara wine scene. I guess that bus was a few minutes late to the 4 o'clock arrival time (a valid complaint by the winery) but the manager handled it all wrong and was verbally abrasive to the group. This is unexcusable and the woman should obviously not have her position. She is obviously under qualified for her job. I will never buy wine for them and will leave them off all wine tours in the future. Absolutely horrible service go somewhere else. read more

Stopped here on a wine tour today. I felt that they should be clearer with the fact that the tastings need to be paid for up front at the cashier. I paid $5 for 5-6 tastings (not positive on the count, they tend to run together) and got my tickets. When I went to the tasting counter, I informed the woman that I had already had most of the wines and to just pick whatever she thought was best. She said she wasn't sure what I liked, so that was difficult, then asked if I liked rieslimg. I said I did, and she poured me a small plastic cup and took all my tickets and that was it...underwhelming to say the least. It was pretty crowded in there as there were multiple busses there but if I had a better tasting experience, maybe I would have purchased a bottle or two. read more

The winery so nice, I've reviewed it twice. I think I had the same server both times, and I'm horrible at names, but he's great. Very informative and friendly. I'll share my thoughts on all the wines I've tried here to date: The dry Merlot is smooth with cherry and plum notes, a little bit of oak and mild tannins. The semi dry Riesling and semi sweet Riesling are soft and citrusy. Boxer Blush is fruity and a little tart. Not bad, but I prefer the more unique Rosebud Rosé. Rosebud Red tastes like rose petals and Christmas. In fact, I pair it with prime rib instead of a dry red, and everyone loves it. Rosebud Raspberry is sweet and fruity, but I prefer Toriamour at Victorianbourg. Rosebud Rosé has the purest rose petal taste, and is one of my favorite rosé wines. Rosebud White is a lush blend of Riesling, Vidal Blanc and Niagara grapes with a hint of rose petals. Enchanting. Rosebud Gold is a trip. They call it their island wine because it has a strong pineapple note despite containing no pineapple whatsoever. It's one of their most popular wines, and perfect for summer if you like pineapple. Also pairs well with an Easter ham. Rosebud Cranberry (or Spirit of Christmas) is great with Thanksgiving dinner, but the tartness builds over time so more than a glass might lead to a pucker. The hot pepper wine is another popular wine. It's interesting on it's own, but the residual heat compliments Chocolate Dream very well. Chocolate Dream is as you'd expect, but chocolate by itself doesn't do much for me. If they ever blend the two, that really would be a dream! Almond Dream tastes like amaretto and maraschino cherries. It's my favorite dessert wine and possibly my favorite taste sensation period. I love smelling it, too. Both Dreams have a sherry base so they are very rich and strong. Niagara Landing is a must visit. You're bound to fall in love with something after six tastes, and the prices are similarly generous. For example, wines from the Rosebud line are $9.99 for 750 ml and the Dreams are $9.99 for 375 ml. read more

I went here with my fiancé and my family a couple weeks ago. It was my fiancé's and my first time there and we loved it! My parents had been there before and they wanted us to check it out to potentially buy wines for our wedding. We loved everything we tried and we'll be back to buy their peach and loganberry wines for our wedding. We've been trying to support local with everything to do with our wedding, so we're glad to be picking some wines from Niagara Landing. The building there is beautiful and they still have stuff up for everyone's health and safety like a plexiglass divider at the counter. But people can take their sampling's and sit outside on a nice day. We brought our own cheese and crackers and enjoyed sitting there conversing. Staff came out to clean the tables outside once people were leaving. I was impressed with the whole place. read more

This place was great. Huge bar and lots of staff, so even though there was a large group and some other guests, we were still able to find a spot at the bar and get served. The woman who did our tasting was very friendly, explained each wine to us, and recommended wines to try based on our tastes. I'm glad I went with her recommendations too- I liked everything she suggested! A lot of their wines are tasty, and the prices are cheap to decent, so I pick up a few bottles while you're there! Also, when we were there they had sandwiches and seasoned nuts for sale by vendors, not sure if they have that every weekend though. read more

This is the only winery I tried all week (and I tried a lot of wine, both around here and around the finger lakes) that I thought was flat-out *bad*. It wasn't their fault that they had a giant giant rowdy party when we came in, though I did feel like they were ignoring us completely in favor of said rowdy party - it felt like pulling teeth getting tastes, and we got pretty hilariously slapdashed-sized pours, some being enormous, and others tiny. Nor was it really their fault that they must have run out of glasses, so we got to taste wine out of cheap plastic instead. But it was absolutely their fault that this wine, unlike any other wine I tasted all vacation, tasted like it was *meant* to be drunk out of cheap plastic - it was all of very low quality, in my opinion. Granted, their wines were all cheap - $10, for the most part - but, well, it tasted like they took 2 buck chuck white, and "infused" it with various artificial flavorings. (At least some of the bottles even admitted to such, like their chili says it used "chili flavoring", where a higher-class winery would use *actual chili peppers*.) You get to taste 6 wines for $3, but in this case, I pour-bucketed most of them. Their ice wine is the only thing that doesn't taste super-cheap (because it isn't), but even that, I thought was only ok. read more

I was incredibly disappointed that Niagara Landing turned our group away, even though we proved email correspondence of our arrival time and date with group size. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude, refused service claiming we hadn't called ahead (regardless of email proof this communication happened), and then quite literally shut the door on our group and said she no longer wished to speak with us. If you have a larger group, I do NOT recommend taking a group to this location because you may be turned away!! read more

I have tried several wineries up on the Niagara Wine Trail and this one was my favorite. They have many different varieties, but I was especially happy that they had so many sweet wines. There is a good deal of counter space available so they can accommodate large groups. The staff were super knowledgeable and helpful. read more

This is a diamond in the rough. It doesn't have the Napa Valley-chateau-like tasting room that so many wineries think is necessary. Tastings take place in a building that looks pretty basic from the outside, but is beautiful on the inside. For us, even their driest wines were not dry enough, but if somewhat sweeter and fruitier is your thing, you will love it. The price is amazing: $3 for a flight of six. The gentleman pouring our wines was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and suggested a good variety of wines based on our preferences. The rest of the staff was quite engaging also.Hands down, we all loved the "Hot Wine" which is a fairly sweet, red wine spiked with an essence of habanero peppers that give the perfect kick of heat in the finish. It is more of a sipping wine, so, sip away! Just a quick piece of trivia; we were told that this winery started out many years ago growing its grapes for Welch's, the grape jelly producer. My absolute favorite wine from the area. I'm a sucker for sweet red wine, and this place is known for it's sweet, delicious tasting wine. I probably go through a bottle of the Raspberry Rosebud in a week. Yum yum, it's so good. Recently I went on a wine tasting tour and you could taste six different wines for only a few dollars. That was the cheapest tasting I had done and you get the most for your money. Also, the tasting room was pretty cool and the staff was very friendly. Even though I was surely acting like a goofball, being that Niagara Landing was our last stop. My favorites: Rosebud Red, which is a plain sweet red wine. I ended up picking up a bottle of this, even though it wasn't the one I had originally wanted to purchase. It was done in a few days. So good. Raspberry Rosebud is the queen of sweet. I love raspberries, so this makes sense for me. For the white wines, Rosebud Peach is phenomenal. It's like you're drinking juice, it's pretty dangerous. Rosebud Gold is delicious as well. Again, a must try in the region if you like your sweet wine! Even if you don't like it too much, with six wine tastes, you'll be sure to find something you like. read more

If you like Sweet Wine, this is the place for you. We go on wine tours almost every time we visit a new area and this has been one of our favorites ever. The tastings were 6 wines for $5. We each did a tasting so we had 12 wines to try in totally. Usually when we go to wine tastings we pick out all of the sweet ones first and then select a few dries but there were so many sweet wines offered that we actually couldn't even pick them all. Our favorites were the Boxer Blush and the Peach Rosebud, which we bought bottles of to bring home. Also the 1liter sized bottles were also very reasonably priced at around $10 each. Instead of making the wines there they just source the best sweet wines around. The actual tasting they didn't give us as much information and attention as we usually get at tastings, but we were happy to taste them and enjoy at our own pace. Definitely recommended as our favorite winery in the Niagara Falls region. read more

This place is the worst place I've ever went to for a wine tour. They were so inappropriate and were not inviting AT ALL. They made us feel so uncomfortable. Yes, we were slightly intoxicated and having fun (aka normal wine tour costumers) but at one point the bartender actually said "really, students...? I'm worried." I've worked in serving for a long time and have never, EVER thought about talking bad about customers in front of their party. I love it here! The bartenders are always lovely and well-informed. Unfortunately, tonight while at a tasting, I witnessed the bartenders at Niagara Landing having to deal with belligerent, drunken customers who were screaming insults and throwing items at them (which the employees did with strength and grace). This is NOT the normal situation here- unfortunately sometimes people just have their fill of the wine trail! It is a friendly, beautiful winery with a huge selection of delicious wines and a wonderful staff. These wineries are a fantastic asset to this region and we're lucky to have them. Never have I ever experienced such bad business practices. The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because I can't give it zero. We arrived on a bus at around 4:30. They said they don't take buses after 4:30 without a reservation, but we had emailed them 2 days before notifying them we would be arriving around that time. They turned us away in such a rude manner. We approached the employees to inquire why we could not come in and they said they are done with the wine tastings but never offered us a solution such as buying a glass or a bottle. We asked the employees for their names as we were unhappy about the service we were receiving and the employee would not give her name. She then proceeded to ignore us like we were not there and turned to her manager and say "I'm not dealing with this. You can go deal with it." The manager then came over and gave us her name in a nasty tone. Two days later I drove back out to this winery to inquire about why were treated so disrespectfully. I spoke with the manager, Robyn, whom I had spoken with before. She was so nasty that this discussion turned into a screaming match. She gave me multiple excuses about why they wouldn't let us in and contradicted herself many times. She claimed that another wine tour that arrived before us, that was complete unrelated to ours, was "rowdy" and "obnoxious" and this was one of the reason they would not serve us. She also claimed that we emailed the wrong person regarding the reservation , but we used the email that was listed first on their website make the reservation. She then said "so you are gonna come in here and bitch that we have a flaw in our website?" My family will never be buying another item from this winery ever again and I will do everything in my power to convince my friends to never buy anything from this winery ever again. I hope whoever is reading this review chooses to avoid this winery at all costs because trust me it is not worth your time. Their wine may be good but they know absolutely nothing about business. read more

We walked in around 5:47, but still felt very welcome. Far more generous tastings and cheaper not to mention more variety to taste than other wineries we went to in the area. Got to together with a few friends recently for a ladies day out. Stopped at Niagara Landing. Cute little winery however all the wines were way too sweet. We understand the area is known for sweeter wines however freedom run was our next stop and they had a much much better selection. The woman working at NL seemed more interested in organizing the store than answering our questions or even helping my friends pick out a bottle to purchase. Seemed as though she could not be bothered and smelled of smoke it was making us nauseous. There was another person who provided us with the tasting (great price) and they were very knowledgeable. But the second we walked out the door ... shocking the other woman (Robin or Rhonda??)followed right behind us and lit up another cigarette. Freedom Run and Honeymoon were much more impressive, we had so much more fun and the staff was informative, friendly, welcomed questions and in fact each staff member gave us a lot of history for each wine we tasted and personally I am very happy I didn't buy anything at NL, ended bought six bottles at freedom run. Pays to be friendly and helpful. We had heard great things about NL but didn't live up to the hype. Very nice inside the tasting area, cozy however we will skip this stop next time. read more

I should have left as soon as I pulled in the parking lot and saw a huge tour bus. It was extremely chaotic and loud inside. My husband and I found an empty spot at the bar and stood there for about 5 minutes with zero acknowledgment from the half dozen or so women behind the bar. I finally flagged someone down and asked to do a tasting. She asked which wine we wanted to try first. When she returned with the bottle she poured the wine and then walked away, providing zero details. She did this a couple more times. While we were sipping our tasting, another women working there came up to us and asked if we wanted to do a tasting. We were confused and stated we were in the middle of one. She asked where are tickets were. Apparently you are supposed to pay at the cashier station first, get 6 tickets and a plastic shot glass (?!) then proceed to the bar. I've been to dozens of wineries (admittedly zero in WNY) and never done this. We hurried through the rest of the tasting, paid, and then got the heck out of there. They have a lot of wines to choose from and I think it's 6 tastings for $3 which is crazy cheap. But I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. Even the dry white wines were too sweet for me.
