St. Anny Food has a Chinese bakery in the front and a fast-food/take-away section in the back. This used to be the only Chinese bakery in the Netherlands and the quality of the food is a classic example of something is better than nothing... Overall, that often describes my experience with Chinese food here.
There is now another new bakery in town called QQ, which I hope to try next time I'm in Den Haag.
Bakery
Food: 2/5
Most of the baked goods are of an acceptable quality - some are better than others, but none of them are particularly tasty.
Service: 3/5
TIP for Nederlanders - there is no actual queue. You just have to pay attention to who was standing there when you arrived, and be vocal when it is your turn.
Atmosphere: 2/5
It is busy, cramped, noisy and the tables are always dirty.
Value: 3/5
All baked goods are €1 each, and €10 for a dozen.
Take-away
Food: 2/5
Go to Full Moon Express instead, the quality there is much better though more expensive. I just found the food here to be too greasy and salty... and this opinion is with my already lowered standards but seriously, can't we do better than "something is better than nothing"?
Value: 3/5
Food here is cheaper than Full Moon, but I would rather pay a bit more and have decent food. read more
