We've been traveling a while), and it showed the option of being able to book at least one night with points and cash. As we wanted to stay multiple nights, I couldn't do that through the app (app wanted to do the points plus cash deal for every night). So, I called up their reservation line. I made sure to tell them that I wanted a King Suite. We got it booked at nearly the same cost as their app, and I thought all was good. We got in very late (they were informed of our late arrival) and I proceeded to the counter. We were NOT booked into a King Suite, but a King with sofa bed. They wanted to charge us an additional $60 for the room I had requested and booked. The gentleman said he couldn't do anything about it, but I could speak to a manager the next morning. Well, spoke to the manager this morning. He said we were not booked in a King Suite, but a standard King. He also said that it's an additional $60-70 up-charge for the King Suite and then showed me on his phone how a King Suite is nearly $200 and not the $135 that I was shown the previous day, through the app. So, I pulled up the app and showed him how the room is saying $123 now, for a King Suite. Now he's telling me that we're in a "King Suite"!? I show him the description, "Enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows in two walls of this corner room". We have 2 windows, on One wall, and they're Not "floor-to-ceiling"! Also, "Separate sleeping and living areas". The manager tries to tell me that we do have separate areas as there is a divider. According to him, a two foot pseudo-wall is a divider, making separate areas!? (I grabbed a screenshot of the app, will take pics of the room.) We will be finding alternative arrangements for the remainder of our stay, and I doubt I'll ever stay at a Hyatt again! Utterly dishonest, bait and switch! BEWARE! (Also, at this point, I'm not sure, but they may try and charge me for canceling our stay. It didn't come up, as I was too upset at the dishonesty and treatment).

They do not tell you the parking next door is 3rd party not included in your stay, it is $100 fine if you park there and don't pay the 3rd party. All the trucks had the same fine in the morning. Management did nothing about this. We found the hotel new and bright. The room was large, water pressure was good, had a nice hairdryer, there was also an iron, bar fridge, kuereg coffee maker, flat screen tv. We were on the 11th floor, looking out over the river valley. The restaurant & lounge were beautiful, open airy and had great views. We didn't eat or drink there but took a look around. The gym is well equipped & the hot tub is the size of a pool. Check in was quick and they fave us complementary warm chocolate chip cookies A negative was the very thin walls, it is a family hotel and the morning are filled with the sounds of children for good or bad lol. The mattress is extra firm, depending on your preference that is good or bad. The location is at the far east end of Jasper Ave, still decent for most shopping, dining & access to the ICE district.

Especially when they have hockey tournament it is nice to see them. The hotel was hosting two teams from Fort McMurray- the peewee team and an atom team. It was Easter weekend so they were very accommodating. They let the parents stay out in the lobby and bring their own boos down to drink until whenever they wanted. I was apart of the atom team and i know for us we stayed down until 2:00am and the parents of the peewee team were down much longer after we were. As the parents were together the kids hung out together running around the hotel and the parents not really telling them to stop so the hotel staff was very patient. The kids were even going into the pool by themselves. As a result of it being Easter Weekend, the hotel allowed the parents to plan a hot wide easter egg hunt and it was very much fun and very loud with all the kids running around looking for Easter eggs so that was nice. Starting at 5 stars: - the hotel lost one star for having a hot tub that isn't hot - the hotel lost another star for putting WAY to much chlorine in the pool - the hotel gained a star for their patience and cooperation with us - the hotel gained a start for their amazing complimentary breakfast in the morning Therefore, it ended at another 5 stars !

Pros- Good size room, very friendly employees, good breakfast, great gym, very nice hot tub, clean room. Cons- While the room was clean, the hallway was not cleaned once in the three days I was there, and the same giant piece of used dental floss was there during my whole stay, along with assorted crumbs. Kinda yuck. Also, getting in and out of the parking garage in an SUV requires special ops training- whoever designed the garage entrance has a special place in hell reserved for them. That being said, nice to have covered parking ($35 / night) in the winter

I was contacted a year later by a new general manager, who addressed my issues, and promised a successful event for 2016. I booked our event with Elizabeth, who was beyond helpful and accommodating. I had so many changes with guest lists, and table arrangements, and Elizabeth happily accommodated every request. The night of the function, I arrived early and there were some things that weren't quite set up right, but the banquet supervisor worked quickly to get things in order. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. I felt like they all had their A-game on. When there was a discrepancy on the banquet order about what time we had the room until, the supervisor was extremely accommodating. I absolutely love the "Top of the Inn". It's a spectacular room with floor to ceiling windows on both sides, overlooking the city. The room was renovated just a few years ago, and there are stunning sparkling led lights in the ceiling that really make it feel like your under the night sky. This would be a very romantic spot for a wedding. The food is always great here. Buffet's can always be hit or miss but they do a great job here. Many of the guests commented on the food. The banquet prices are competitive with other hotels in Edmonton. Out of all the Edmonton hotels I've held banquets at, or attended banquets, I really think that the Top of the Inn at the Delta is the most stunning. And after the great service we had this time, I won't hesitate to book again.

I loved the large windows which allowed natural lighting into our room. The curtains were heavy, pretty much black out curtains which let us sleep so well. I really liked the service we received here. Every employee we came in contact with was pleasant, polite, and so helpful. They were quick to tend to our needs and answer our questions. Before booking I inquired about having a mini fridge and we got a room which had that for us. Communicating at the front desk and messaging through the third party site I booked with went very well. However there were a couple things that could've been improved our experience. Our room was pretty much spotless when we arrived, but there was a red piece of hair left on the sink in the bathroom. Both my boyfriend and I have black hair. Also, I wish both bedside tables had outlets available. There were only outlets available on one side, and more outlets by the desk so it was a little inconvenient. Wifi had pretty slow moments, and sometimes the wifi would disconnect randomly so I'd have to wait for it to reconnect again. There was one night where the vent was blowing smelly air. We checked our bathroom, bathroom trash can, and I even questioned my boyfriend because of it, but we were certain it wasn't us or coming from our room. The smelly air would blow every 30 minutes or so when the vents would come on. We were contemplating on telling the front desk but it was so late at night, like 1:30 am and we were exhausted from the whole day. It was also our last night too before check out, and we weren't willing to move all our stuff to relocate if we needed to. We ended up falling asleep and didn't smell it again the next morning. Lastly before I checked in, my boyfriend and I kept calling the phone number but the line always sounded busy. We probably called like 7 or 8 times in one day spaced out. Luckily they're pretty good about responding on the third party site but it would be nice to call someone before arriving. We were in the Standard room but next time, I'd be willing to try rooms on the Concierge floor. Despite everything, I really loved the service and employees we came in contact with. It definitely was the most memorable part about staying here along with the view.
