The best! I had to use two separate companies after a house fire and they were by far the best. They had to deal with fire/smoke/water damage and lead dust. SRH was extremely detail oriented and highly organized. They showed up with a large team for collection and were very professional. They cataloged each item in great detail and sent a excellent itemized list to our insurance company which helps with processing our claim and reimbursement. Later when organizing their drop off of our cleaned items, they were excellent in communication and on time for delivery. Our items were meticulously restored down to removing carbon deposits on old car parts! They fixed and restored broken chairs that were in our basement and made them look brand new during the restoration process. SRH's restoration of our child's toys was so detailed I felt comfortable handing them back to my daughter to play with. I would recommend them to anyone who has experienced a disaster and needs this service. Absolutely, hands down, THE BEST Restoration / Moving / Storage company in the ENTIRE Bay Area! Henry, Susy, Maria and the ENTIRE SRH CREW are all VERY professional, kind, and so pleasant to work with. Thankfully, the water mitigation company our insurance worked with referred SRH to do our packing/move-out and storage of our furniture and household items. I reached out to Henry & SRH Restoration after a fire in the unit across the hall resulted in smoke damage to our unit and personal property. It took a few tries and a few days to get connected with Henry but ever since he has been responsive via both text and phone. We were very eager to get back into our unit and Henry was very accommodating by being at-the-ready once the environmental testing was completed we were able to get in and get started. His team arrived on time, were very friendly & met the tough deadlines we were working with. In December 2015 my mother's water heater burst. AAA called in SRH Restoration for the pack up of the house so that the damaged areas could be cleaned and repaired. Ann at SRH is amazing. She's fast, efficient, and she stays on top of your case even though you know she's got to be dealing with dozens of cases at any one time. Her first priority is customer care and she took incredible care of the needs of both my parents. She also handled the coordination with an environmental clean up service when asbestos floor tile needed to be cleaned up. Ann also stayed on top of the status of the repair work being done at the house and was able to schedule a crew to come up to unpack within two business days of the sign-off walk-through. Her pack up and moving teams are fast, professional, and incredibly careful in packing and unpacking the household furniture and belongings. and unpacking. There was zero damage to furniture and fragile items when they upacked. They even put Mom's books back on the bookshelf. They treated Mom's things as though they were moving their own furniture. They do not take pride in what they do and care even less about their customers. It would have cost them less then $1500 to fix what they did wrong out of the $30K they got from my insurance company. In November of 2016 we had a small fire in our home that did a lot of smoke damage. SRH Restoration was out there the next day to take our things and clean and store them. The team was so kind and professional. They sat with us to go through the things that they deemed as a loss and allowed us to keep what we felt was important to us. The team was very professional and took care and pack our belongings as if it was their own items. When we finally moved back into our home, we had decided to list it for sale and did not need all of our belongings. Ann and Steve worked with us on delivering what we need to "live" in the house and worked out a deal for the storage of our items. Ann and Steve were amazing, I felt completely supported by them through out the whole process and all of the team was wonderful. Although I hope that this is a recommendation that you never have to use, we recently had to move all of the furniture & a good bit of our art in our living room, dining room and kitchen. Fortunately almost all of it including our baby grand piano & harpsichord fit in our garage. Why? Because the floors had to be refinished. Those of you who have been in our home (for concerts,etc.) know how full of art it is. It took Restoration, Inc. three days for the task. However, they were able to replace every single item in a single long day. We interviewed several restoration companies following our house fire. We are so glad we hired SRH - Steve and the entire crew were professional, thorough and compassionate. They carefully packed up and inventoried all of our household goods that had survived the fire (despite water and smoke damage) and transported it all to their facility for cleaning. I couldn't believe how our household items were transformed to look (and smell!) good as new. They also stored our furniture and household goods for us until we were ready for them in our new place. Most of the crew members have worked for SHR for many years, which says something about the work culture of the company, and is apparent in their customer service. This company performed an awesome service for me today. They kept to their word on arrival and work to be performed. I had a car fire in my garage with much of the garage contents destroyed. There remained some useable items. The company came in and removed all the damaged items for disposal and cleaned the remaining usable items which were then taken to storage to be retrieved when the garage is repaired. They also swept up and left the garage in good shape for the contractors to do the reconstruction. If I ever need restoration or cleanup again I will call them without hesitation. read more

I was referred to SRH from a friend (who is in the land/housing development business) for remediation of some mold in my father's house. Steve, the owner, was very responsive and extremely thorough in describing what was needed from beginning to end. He and his project manager, Ann (also amazing) came out to the house to do an assessment and the work was immediately scheduled. The set up and clean up crew were professional, efficient and notified me when they were in and out of the house when I was not there. SRH saved my sanity. My water heater burst and flooded part of my home 10 days before Christmas. The SRH crew came in and started cleanup as soon as they were called. I cannot say enough good things about SRH and Henry's team--Patti, Violet, everybody, thank you guys soooo much! I had a fire in my home and had to hire a restoration company to help me move as well as clean my things and my home. I say 'help me', but they did it ALL!! I was very stressed after the fire... moving, insurance headaches, a temporary living situation all made life instantly more challenging. Not knowing who to call, I interviewed 2 restoration agencies, and SRH won hands down, for their quick response, professional demeanor, willingness to help, flexible/positive attitude and their capacity to be human. This will sound strange, but now that I'm at the end of it, I can say that dealing with SRH was my favorite part of the whole process. I always knew that Henry/Patti/Violet would pick up the phone or call me right back if I needed anything. They were extremely responsive to my changing needs, whether it was to come back an additional day, or change the schedule to accommodate mine, they were always cheerful and incredibly professional. They were very understanding when the insurance check to pay them was sloooowwww to arrive. Working with SRH has been nothing short of the best customer service I have experienced lately, across the board. They took wonderful care of my belongings--and how many moving companies can you say that about---were respectful of my neighbors (in terms of parking, being in their way, etc), they worked incredibly hard(!) on my behalf, and to top it off were warm and lovely people--- just the sort you would want to deal with when going through a stressful time in your life. They were careful to ask for my input along the way re care or placement of my things, they were meticulous with their inventory, They were prompt with any paperwork I needed or with phone calls to adjusters, I found them to be very well organized. They extended themselves to help me with things that were not in their job description(replacing batteries in chirping smoke detectors, helping me with my fridge, delivering things to my temporary home, from time to time trying to cheer me up, and my favorite...digging an individual item out of storage to measure it for me so I didn't have to drive to the warehouse!) I had their full attention during any conversation, they worked with me to creatively solve problems, they juggled everything with ease and made every transaction as easy as possible for me. Henry has put together an amazing team that is more than the sum of its parts. Yes, they are paid for their service, but it is the extra things they do and the pride they take in themselves and their job that makes them such a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs their services, and while I hope to not need them myself anytime soon, if I ever do, they will be the first people I call. My home survived the Napa fires, but it was full of smoke and without power for 2 weeks. As soon as I had power restored, Steve and his wonderful crew (of about a dozen people) immediately went to work. They spent an entire week hand cleaning everything from floor to ceiling inside my home (and every item in every drawer) as well a power washing everything outside (roof, hardscape, shrubbery). They did a thorough and careful job (I have many fragile objects) and there was a designated person for the inside as well as the outside crew, so I could communicate with one person if needed.
