Called to discuss concerns with home inspection I received and the owner completely dismissed my points and was disrespectful. A home inspection is a serious matter, you would think someone who does this for a living would take their craft seriously. Not to mention stay calm and try to help you resolve any and all concerns a customer has. DO NOT RECOMMEND - this company's leadership is entitled and does not take accountability. I do not say this lightly - if you value true customer service, professionalism, accountability, respect and integrity, book with another home inspection company. The inspector missed a smelly gas leak from our stove as well as the state of the appliance (the top was not properly set) imagine what else he missed!! Disappointed customer. He doesn't check in and he implements the whole project without telling you what's going on or how it looks and then when you're not happy with the outcome he still expects you to pay the full bill. On a recent project he overcharged me for materials I didn't use and refuses to reimburse me. In fact when I asked he called me "crazy" and told me to "lose his number". He absolutely does not know what he's doing with masonry though he sells himself as being knowledgeable. And on other projects, he often has to redo simple tasks several times to get it right. So while his rate is low, you pay threefold in the amount of time it takes him to execute. He is incredibly unprofessional on top of not executing well on projects, calling you names and accusing you of getting in the way of him doing his work. Lots of excuses. It's possible that he's good with home inspection but just doesn't know how to actually do the hands-on work. To be clear I didn't hire him for inspections, I hired him for projects such as tuckpointing and other repairs around the house and the outcomes were always subpar. And then he was defensive and aggressive at different times toward me. Find yourself a real professional contractor who won't call you insulting names after messing up your home projects. I've shared a copy of the shockingly rude text message he sent me and I simply asked him about the cost of some materials he'd charged me for that I didn't use. And I've attached pictures of the mismatched grey mortar he slathered onto my beautiful vintage brick home. Masonry experts now have to drill it all out because it's not only the wrong color, it's the wrong type which will damage structurally because it will settle differently than the original mortar. Conly could and should have matched the mortar color AND type but did not. These are things an expert mason knows and Conly didn't though he claimed he's an expert with tuck pointing. I now have to pay three times as much for someone to come fix Conly's bad work on my house even though I also already paid Conly...

True Vision home inspections did an amazing job on my buyer's home inspection of a 42-year-old…read moretownhouse. Their inspector Jerry went above and beyond with the inspection, answering a ton of questions and not being bothered at all when I asked to accompany him. As this was my first time doing a home inspection, I ended up contracting with two different companies in order to have a comparison and more confidence that they found the big/important issues. While the other company did a good job with their inspection, it was both shorter and less detailed than what Jerry performed. True Vision's inspection found important issues that the other company missed. For instance, while both companies made notes that the electrical panel was outdated and needed to be replaced, True Vision and Jerry opened the faceplate of the panel and found that the breakers were mismatched and that one of the wires showed signs of charring. This information was valuable when it came to the inspection objections I sent to the sellers. There were three or four other examples of Jerry inspecting things in more detail and finding issues that the other company did not or was not allowed to check. Scheduling the inspection with True Vision was simple, and they were able to get someone out with just a two-day notice (tight contract deadlines). The report was provided the following morning and contained a ton of detail. Hundreds of photos of not just the issues that were found, but all of the things that were working correctly as well. There was also a lot of descriptive information in the report and I could tell that many of the items were typed up and added directly by Jerry, as opposed to more general, boilerplate descriptions. The report also had a nice and completely free feature that allowed you to go through each item and mark it as acceptable, repair, replace, and add any custom notes. At the end you could generate a request list that was easy to print and reference when submitting any objections. I would 100% recommend True Vision and Jerry to anyone wanting a home inspection done.
