My husband and I were referred to Leo by my boss who has also worked with him. After meeting with other DJ's we were blown away by his professionalism and attention to detail. His office has diverse lighting options to meet any clients needs. Our first meeting consisted of Leo getting to know us (our love story), our music likes/dislikes, and venue details. He was completely honest with us and didn't attempt to sell us packages we didn't need, such as lighting - which I greatly appreciated. We clicked with him right away and looked forward to work him. Leo was extremely detailed oriented, he understood our needs from the moment we met with him. Previous to our wedding we meet with Leo various times to go over the time line, music options/suggestions and Leo even took the time to drive all the way to our venue to meet our wedding coordinator and revise area he would be setting up at. He was extremely prepared and like us planned for any unexpected changes to our timeline. On the wedding day it rained for the first three hours of our event which came completely out of left field for all of us. Our wedding was outdoors and Leo came prepared with his tent. He took charge from the moment he walked into the vineyard alongside with our coordinator made our wedding reception flow smoothly which we are extremely thankful for. Music was completely on point, from the moment dance floor opened to the last dance our dance floor was FULL just how I wanted it. Everyone had a great time and guest continue to rave about the music, and ambience Leo provided (they've even asked for CD's of music played which Leo has graciously provided). Leo also offers game options which I was a little skeptical for, but went along with the idea because it did sound like a good time. After dinner Leo started a scavenger hunt with our guest, I must say the game was one of the highlights of the night - EXTREMELY FUN! Everyone from guests, wedding coordinator to our photographer hadn't experience such thing and LOVED it! Leo also took the initiative to get EVERYONE on the dance floor for a group picture, I must say it's nice to have a picture of all our guest with us. I've used this DJ service twice already. First for my wedding and second for a retirement party. Leo is great. I first went to them because my wedding DJ cancelled a month before my wedding. His excuse was I never gave him a deposit. Well, I never got a contract, and I had never looked for a DJ before, so how was I supposed to know? WOW!! Working with Leo and his group at Solo Records was a blessing for my wedding this year. I hired him as my DJ/MC he allowed me and my husband to customize our package to include lighting. I have used other DJs for other events but have never received service the way I did with Solo Records. He helped us create our monogram and projected it on a feature wall for us. Leo is very professional yet still super down to Earth. He is flexible with scheduling meetings and even offered to video-chat when my schedule was too hectic. He showed up to our rehearsal also which made it a lot easier to explain how I wanted the day's events to go. He worked with us soo much on customizing the music for our day and the timeline, to really make our day feel personal and special. He uses an online system that allows for easy access to see your music requests, timeline and correspondence. On the wedding day, his team showed up on time, and worked well with the other vendors. Ugh!! I hate that I am only giving Leo 3 stars because at the beginning it was 5 stars, He was great and helpful at the start, very professional. We went through timelines and music together. I was excited for him. I spent about 6 hours on my music list like I made it a project because I love 90's hip hop and that's what I wanted to hear. Day of wedding, not sure what happen he was low energy, people did not know when I was having the money dance, cake cutting, or the flower toss. I didn't hear any of my dance music besides thriller, I was sad about it all. and he was late with music after we were done with the ceremony he was suppose to put on music and we kind of froze for a good 10 seconds till the music started. One of our requirements was that our MC could speak both Spanish and English and also cater to a diverse crowd since we are a biracial couple with a diverse group of friends in both age and ethnicity. These guys are awesome. I (the fiancee now wife) NEEDED a white dance floor for our wedding instead of the brown one the hotel provided. Reached out to a bunch of people and settled on SR. Communication is great and they charge fair prices. Biggest thing was, everyone else wanted to charge some crazy delivery fee for weekends but these guys didn't. I mean, who's getting married that doesn't need a weekend drop off or pick up or both as in my case since I got married on Saturday like 90% of the people in the world. Anyway, you always worry about something like this for the wedding but again, good communication and the day of and day after went without a hitch. The dance floor was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Also required about A/V and while we didn't ultimately do a slideshow, their prices were the most competitive. read more

Leo was referred to me by a friend. We researched DJ's and read reviews to choose what would be best for our son's wedding. The couple wanted good music of their style and choosing, and a DJ that was professional enough to manage the flow of the evening and keep things going but not overwhelming and stealing the show. Leo is the perfect blend. He did the music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour, dinner and then dancing and did a very good job! The greatest part of working with him is he is so mild mannered and humble. The way his on-line system is set up we could search for and select types of music down to detailed songs for every part of the event. Leo worked with the couple to understand their preferences and to set up the schedule for the day/night which they were able to share with all the other vendors and stay on schedule. He was reliable and showed up and did everything we asked of him, and his equipment was good. Even in the heat of 106 degrees in Temecula that day, he remained very professional and happy to be there. We also hired him for the photo booth and that was reasonable and a fun part of the memories as well. Leo put together a photo book with the photo strips and that was our guest book for the event. The guests really enjoyed the music for the evening and we really enjoyed working with Leo. We have heard stories from other couples who used other DJ's and we had no issues. I also really liked how he got the entire group of guests on the dance floor for a group picture. The dancing objective was clear, but we also love the picture.
