I hired Richard for my wedding. He was very professional throughout the entire process from helping us put together a schedule and selecting songs for special dances. He was easy to work with and very clear with what he needed. He also provided cold sparks for special dances. He does live mixing unlike a lot of other DJs that often have a preset playlist or mix for parts of their set. He took a lot of our song recommendations into consideration and set the vibe with his song selection. There was some songs we gave him that he did not play but he played other very good songs that made up for it. If you give him must play songs, he will play them. DJ Ricardo is a true professional and really took my wedding to another level. This was my first time ever hiring a DJ so I went to Yelp and messaged at least 10 DJs on availability and pricing. Ricardo was the first one to respond and when I called him I felt immediately at ease but did check out prices for others. I really liked that DJ Ricardo was able to email me a price list so there was total transparency on the pricing. I was looking for affordable but wanted someone with experience so based on Ricardo's super quick replies and price list, I chose him. Ricardo asked to actually come in person and look at the reception site. I thought it was unnecessary at first but later realized the amount of detailed planning he puts into his work by doing this. He also created a schedule of events and a grand entrance mix even though I didn't request it. He makes useful suggestions and helps plan your event if needed. He asks for specific songs you would like so he can make sure your event is perfect. He didn't have my first dance song but quickly obtained it and let me know he had it. The day of the reception Ricardo arrived very early and set up all his equipment. He even brought extra equipment that really set a great ambiance on the dance floor. The lighting setup he provided was amazing and many of guests were delighted with it. My wedding was in a backyard but I felt like I was at an outdoor club. He kept the crowd dancing and listened to my guest's requests for music. He is extremely well prepared and able to quickly adapt and go with the flow to keep the wedding intact even though I was a hot mess at times. His calm and collected demeanor really helped when I was stressing out. He was able to capture some videos of the dance floor during the wedding and there were so many people dancing and having an amazing time. I really was not expecting much since he offered his services at a great price but Ricardo truly went above and beyond.
