My family LOVES music. Everything we do revolves around music and I used to DJ back in the 90s.. yes old school vinyl records in a gajillion milk crates lol. We were eating lunch upstairs at the theater and had a top-down view of DJ MysTori playing really good jams that made me dance all through lunch. I could not control my shoulders from bouncing nor could I control my fists from pumping in the air when she dropped the beat! Proof is in my video! LOL. Not only was this such a fun surprise but she really did bring in all the best jams from various eras. My daughter's wedding was going to be held in Los Angeles (LA), so we wanted to hire a local DJ. Initially, I made inquiries with DJs in our hometown, but the DJs I talked to were charging higher than what we could afford. Plus, if we hired someone close to our home, that probably would have incurred travel costs, which is why we wanted an LA DJ. It was real simple to reach out to David utilizing the Yelp app. When I indicated I was shopping for DJs on Yelp, I got several inquiries. HiFly DJ was the first DJ to respond to my request. The communication between my daughter and I with David was outstanding. I started the negotiation with David and my daughter took care of wedding reception particulars. An example of the impeccable customer service he provided me was my early request and constant reminder about a surprise song I would be incorporating after my Father of the Bride speech. He kept that a secret from my daughter until it was time for me to perform with her during the wedding reception. I needed to have two mics for the two of us to perform and they were high quality mics that provided strong clarity for the audience to hear. My daughter worked with David with the itinerary, transitions, and music selection after they communicated via email and met for an in-person meeting. I hadn't personally met DJ David, but when I did at the reception, he was such a cool guy, who evoked positivity and seeing him perform, his DJ skills and emceeing were unparalleled. David made every facet of our reception so much fun and his diligence were on full display. The introductions of the parents and bridal party were so much fun because of the dance-worthy music he played. My daughter and her fiance surprised us with songs they performed, which was really clear to the 200+ guests. The speeches of the maids of honor, best men, father of the groom, and father of the bride were heard clearly through the use of wireless mics. My wife accompanied my daughter and I by playing the piano for our surprise song and the mics easily captured her playing. Loved how each of the tables got to take pics with the newlyweds and that was seamlessly announced. I loved how David got all 200+ guests onto the floor to take a group pic and transitioned that gathering into the start of dancing. Our guests spanned all ages from a one year old, high school kids, young adults, middle age, and senior citizens. Our daughter provided a list of songs she wanted played and I don't know if all of her songs played, but what I do know is DJ David played songs that kept people on the dance floor and made the dancing super fun. He also takes song requests and the one song I asked for was the Electric Slide. That was a song that got everyone up followed by another group dance song that kept everyone on the dance floor. I appreciated him mentioning that the song was requested by the old dude and proud father of the bride. I am so happy we did because he was AMAZING and did everything at such a fair and competitive price. I feel like some people pay thousands of dollars for average DJ but DJ Will did such a great job at keeping our dance floor alive and upbeat! He had a good selection of music throughout the night and worked so well with our emcee, who was a good friend. We also had him set up the sound equipment because the venue didnt have that, and it went so smoothly and everyone heard our ceremony fine with no issues!
