The squire room is my favorite bar. Best place to go and hang out. Frank and Fred are always a pleasure. Drinks are stiff and cheap!

I frequent just to play the pinball machines because they're the only place around that has any arcade machines that I've seen so far. The music is great they allow patrions to choose the daily set list from Spotify so you will never hear the same song twice. The stage, lighting, sound system, and most importantly the staff. Caleb will be you're more present mixologist, and if you get to see Aaron, one of the owners drop a fist bump to both these dudes. They are literally some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. They have an awesome selection of libations to choose from. Even some of their own special mixes. That go awesome with Lays, tajin and lemon juice. Trust me. For those who have only heard of the WHISKEY A GO-GO, CBGB, CHAIN REACTION, THE DOLL HOUSE, OR ANY SIMILAR BAR OR CLUB THAT HAS A SMALL STAGE LIKE THE DIP YOU'LL ALWAYS FEEL LIKE HOME. This is the place to be only slow night just to get a refreshment or when the night is young and rock begins to roll. No matter what this is the joint to be. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET THE EXPERIENCE.

The entrance was a bit tough to recognize. In addition, the sign requesting patrons to wait to be seated was absent personnel. The youngster arrived while on the phone taking a reservation. Further delay as she coordinated seating for the large group (showing up on Wednesday, she shared). She mentioned they were slow and said I could select whatever table I liked. I ordered a savory martini and filet mignon, mashed potatoes and French onion soup. Soup arrived with the martini and the two could not have been more oppositely received. The soup exquisite, the martini...nearly undrinkable. But to be fair, I wasn't expecting an overwhelming bell pepper flavor. Black pepper Absolute Vodka was the description. I detest bell peppers. I tried to choke down as much as I could, then decided to give up halfway through. The soup was sublime. A 1/4 inch slice of brown toast under the melted Swiss cheese, the broth and onions delicious. I requested a 6 ounce pour of the Caymus California Cabernet Sauvignon with the steak. It arrived with my meat and potatoes beautifully plated. I'm not sure I wasn't served a sirloin. That filet was the shape of no filet I've ever bought or been served. But it was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were sublime - buttery and flavorful. The wine with less tannins than I anticipated- I really enjoyed that. Service was attentive and both the hostess and my server checked on me. My drive back to Sacramento will be pleasant.

Mac and cheese with bacon, French onion soup and the surf & turf skewers. French onion Soup was DELICIOUS, we added a little salt to the other two dishes and they were really good too. For dinner I ordered the $24 Caesar - it was good and it was big but it was a lot for a basic good tasting Caesar. Husband ordered the Chicken Parm over pasta with a red sauce and he loved it. Portion was huge and he brought half home. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the cream brûlée, both really good. Only downside, if you are dropping almost $200 for dinner, the bathrooms need to be clean and upscale. Mold in the ladies room toilet at the waterline - yuck - and Toilet paper dispenser broken and laying on the floor in the stall. This needs improvement. Overall we were happy with our meal and we will be back.

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

It was comfortable, quiet, and I enjoyed watching the bartender and the kitchen staff at work. We were in time for Happy Hour and I took advantage of the $4 draft beer (Farmer's Light - fruity and fun); my wife went upscale and had a regular-priced glass of merlot ($8). Both of us had the chicken cranberry salad - it was delicious, with lots of chicken. The bread was good, too. Our server kept us fed and watered and was very helpful and pleasant. I'd come back...but I'd make sure to have a reservation!
