Do not call these people if you have a sick dog that needs a regular vet and is on medication. I…read morewas told it would be months before they could get my 84 year old mother's dog in. Even though their website says they can get your pets in. So I guess I just let the dog die. Not like anyone there cares. I had heard so many good things about this practice. I don't believe them. This is my mom's best friend that keeps her going. But again, no one there cares. Thanks for nothing.

We took our golden retriever to R Vet because she had a fever and wasn't eating. We have had…read moreseveral goldens so it's common for them to get infections which this was obviously. They wouldn't give her antibiotics but ran several tests along with an ultrasound which totaled around $1000. They said they still didn't know what her issue was and that we needed to come back tomorrow so that they could bring in a specialist to do a better ultrasound. I brought Carley back the next day and they did the ultrasound but I never spoke to a vet and I don't think any vet looked at her while she was there. They just billed me another $500 and said they would call the next day. Two days later they called and left a message on my wife's phone saying they didn't find anything but there could be a spot on her liver so we should come in and have it biopsied which would be another $1000. By this time Carley had beat the infection off and was fine. THEY DIDN'T EVEN ASK HOW SHE WAS DOING OR WHAT HER CURRENT SYMPTOMS WERE! How do you treat an animal if you don't keep up with the symptoms they have. This clinic is just looking to run up diagnostic bills and not interested in just getting the pet well. It was most likely a UTI which could have been resolved by antibiotics. To date they still have not called to check on her or ask how she was doing and if her status had changed. Do not bring your pet to this clinic.

Matty has recovered wonderfully and we are so lucky to have found Vogel Veterinary Hospital for our cat's needs. Many thanks to all!

I was recently very disappointed and angry regarding how our beagle's health was handled just last…read moreweek. I brought him in because he was breathing very fast. First, the vet tells me he has a heart murmur, which really surprised me because he had been going there since we got him as a puppy to 7 years old as of last week and that condition was never brought up before. She did ask to do an x-ray to see if she could see anything about the heart before we had to take him to a dog cardiologist. She comes back and tells me he "might" have a murmur but the breathing was due to pneumonia. I had to then authorize another test to be sent out to find out what kind of pneumonia he had and was sent home with the lowest type of antibiotic until then and a $580.00 bill. Unfortunately, he passed away two days later. I don't understand how she didn't see he had so much fluid in his lungs and either do something to relieve that or keep him for observation. When I called them to tell him he died, all I was told that she was sorry and then transferred me to the receptionist to tell me MORE charges to take care of him from there! We took him to Imperial Animal Hospital instead where they had more compassion and lower prices to offer us during this difficult time. I will NEVER take another one of our animals there again. I feel the vet was very negligent in fully diagnosing his condition at that time. I have not heard another word from them and plan on disputing the charges with our credit card company. BUYER BEWARE!

They are located just outside of Hillsboro, MO in a great location. They have a large sign right along the road so it is easy to find. They had several employees working together and they seemed to really enjoy their job. Everyone was friendly and the prices were great. I highly recommend them if you are in the area.
