They set clear expectations of the grooming outcome. I wanted to keep her skirt a little longer but since she was matted under her legs, we were unable to keep it. As long as she is properly groomed. They call me back in an hour, tell me they could not remove all of the matting, she'd have to be taken to a vet & be sedated for it all to be removed. She'll be ready by 5. Ummmmm ok. I was annoyed because the owner bragged about all these credentials she had and how she's been in business for so long but couldn't handle matting. But whatever. They also tell me they would only charge me for what hair they could get off of her. my sister arrived to pick up my dog, and was informed that they indeed were able to remove all of her hair but did not bathe her at all. The owner then informed my sister that they had been working on her all day. Which is a lie, because when I called at 3:45 the owner told me they hadn't gotten to her yet! My sister said the owner then tried to clean it up and say "well we've been going back-and-forth with her all day." so which is it, were are you going back-and-forth with her all day or did you not get to her until 345???? Furthermore, if you have been working on her all day, by the end of the day she should be all finished and ready for a bath, right? I paid $70 for her to only get cut and they barely cut her nails. I feel like after they cut her, why couldn't she get a bath? She's 6 lbs and hairless now, her bath and blow dry should have not taken that long. I called Sarah and her greeting was so friendly and comforting I booked an appointment. The salon was easy to find, it was neat and clean, she was so very friendly, listened to what I had heard about my new rescue girl, and when I came back she was gorgeous. EXACTLY as I had described to her. Phoebe (my little fur baby girl's name) was happy and excited to see me, not quivering or shaking. I highly recommend Oakville Grooming to anyone looking in the south county area for a caring and professional person to take care of your fur babies needs. A+++++++ in my book, and I have been to many groomers through the years with my rescues....by far this was the best one.

We took our golden retriever to R Vet because she had a fever and wasn't eating. We have had…read moreseveral goldens so it's common for them to get infections which this was obviously. They wouldn't give her antibiotics but ran several tests along with an ultrasound which totaled around $1000. They said they still didn't know what her issue was and that we needed to come back tomorrow so that they could bring in a specialist to do a better ultrasound. I brought Carley back the next day and they did the ultrasound but I never spoke to a vet and I don't think any vet looked at her while she was there. They just billed me another $500 and said they would call the next day. Two days later they called and left a message on my wife's phone saying they didn't find anything but there could be a spot on her liver so we should come in and have it biopsied which would be another $1000. By this time Carley had beat the infection off and was fine. THEY DIDN'T EVEN ASK HOW SHE WAS DOING OR WHAT HER CURRENT SYMPTOMS WERE! How do you treat an animal if you don't keep up with the symptoms they have. This clinic is just looking to run up diagnostic bills and not interested in just getting the pet well. It was most likely a UTI which could have been resolved by antibiotics. To date they still have not called to check on her or ask how she was doing and if her status had changed. Do not bring your pet to this clinic.
