So here I sit, a worried mom with an uncomfortable dog and a very worried son, with an appointment with a new vet, but still having to wait while knowing my dog is uncomfortable, bc of course they can't comment until they verify the diagnosis for themselves. Meaning more money that a single mom has to somehow pull out of her behind. So...if you want a place you can rely on, my advice is keep shopping around. A chain is only as good as the weakest link.

They are located just outside of Hillsboro, MO in a great location. They have a large sign right along the road so it is easy to find. It sits on a beautiful lake with the rest of the property landscaped nicely. More important than the property though was the service. They were very quick, and took my pet in right away. They had several employees working together and they seemed to really enjoy their job. Everyone was friendly and the prices were great. I highly recommend them if you are in the area.

When we dropped our dog off for her early morning scheduled time, Petsmart called within 30 minutes later and said our dog was "too stressed out to be groomed." After picking her up and going back home, we were angry because this is the 2nd time this has happened to us with this particular Petsmart location. I looked online and saw availability at Petco same day and scheduled a time. They called us immediately and told us we could bring her in earlier if possible. We made the 30 minute drive to Petco and they took care of her. Other than not being a fan of the dryer, they said she was absolutely fine. She was in and out in about an hour for bath, brush, and nail trim. We looked thru the window in the grooming area a couple of times to check on her and she was fine. We shopped in the store while we waited. Fortunately we have a new grooming place and Petco has a new customer. Unfortunately Petsmart has someone who has no patience to do her job. I feel like they overbooked and didn't want to deal with her even though we had the appointment for several weeks. All it took was someone kind to talk to her and pet her for a minute and she was good to go. We have been back to Petco for another grooming session since that time and still had a great experience. You can bet I will be relaying this story to PetSmart Corporate office as well. Do not go to the Crystal City location for grooming!

We have put our dog, Lotus, with Laura and her family every time we needed to for a few years now…read more We used to live in South county of STL and had to drive to their old location for 45 mins in IL just to take Lotus to their house but knowing that he will be loved and well-cared for, It's all worth it. Lotus always had a good time. Now they moved to new location in Arnold which we also moved to St. Charles county and still have to drive him there. I am still willing to follow them everywhere and use their service as long as they still have loving and opening home for dogs. I can't rave enough about Laura and her family. If I can give them 10 stars I would. Thank you for caring for Lotus for us!

While the puppy sanitary cut is very reasonable it was not a good experience. First impressions…read moremean a lot. I walk in, one person has her feet up on a table on her phone and the other girl just walked up to the counter. No greetings whatsoever. Now the girl who checked us in was fairly friendly the rest were not. The groomer had zero personality. She never spoke to me. She asked one of the girls what she was doing with my puppy and she told her. My puppy had two leashes around her. One on her neck and one on her stomach then that was attached above on a rod. The groomer never petted or talked to my puppy. My puppy started squirming and she had BOTH leashes in her hands and my puppy was suspended in air but her back feet still could touch the table. The one girl came to help and the groomer snipped at her and said she needed no help that the puppy would have to figure it out on her own! After that the groomer turned her back to get something and my puppy stepped off the table!!! The one girl grabbed her and the groomer never even reacted. I asked for a bow and I was told no that she would only scratch it out. I was never thanked for coming in or even acknowledge. I will never go there again. No wonder there were no others in there to get groomed!! I'm only giving one star because I have to but the one star would go to the girl who actually had somewhat of a personality.
