We had so much fun making soaps there that we decided to take on the terrarium making class. That was awesome since we were able to make it as a private event at a bar in Hoboken for my birthday. Then there were the decisions on the color schemes for the bar of soap and the choices of fragrance. It was so much fun! The best part was when the soap bars have set, and they were unveiled from the mold. The soap bars all came out so beautifully. This is a fun activity for both young and old. I plan on coming back with girlfriends and making it a girls-night-out. Highly recommended.

The owner, Kristen Zachares, seems extremely supportive of the local vendors who rent space in her store. She reached out to one of the makers, on my behalf, about a cookie mix without chocolate, took down my phone number and immediately contacted me once hearing back from the maker. In addition to the Buddha chip cookie mix, she is also making oatmeal raisin and sugar cookie kits! Kristen stated she will contact me and leave one to the side when it arrives. I'm sold before it even makes it into the store simply because of the overall exceptional customer service. Would highly recommend a visit to support/buy local. I can't say enough nice things!…read more We recently hosted our son's teddy bear making birthday party here. It was absolutely awesome!! We had a private room, which allowed the children to interact and play together. They started off with tattoos and coloring while kids were brought to another area to make teddy bears in groups of four or five. Lately, you go to a birthday party, and the kids are all just running off on their own and not playing together. Here, the activities got the children to play together, which I find so important. It was absolutely awesome! I also liked the quality of the teddy bears, clothing, and backpacks the kids got. I also can't say enough nice things about the service and staff. They were incredibly helpful in every possible way and accommodating. From the moment we walked in everything just worked seamlessly. There's also such a calm vibe that it is pleasant for the parents hanging out. The party area is open and spacious so everyone felt very comfortable. About three different families that participated in our party liked it so much that they're looking to do their kids party there as well. This place deserves even more than five stars... I don't think I've ever said that in a review!

Unfortunately, my experience working with him was unprofessional and frustrating. A few examples: I was told that to be included in A.R.T's August calendar, they would need a confirmation and deposit by August 5th. I paid the deposit of $200 on July 31st and submitted my poster along with the blurb by Aug 4th. However, I wasn't included in their newsletter. I had to follow up a couple times by email and phone to remind them to add me to their website. When I visited his store for the first time, he told me I could stop by the store any time I wanted, but when I did stop by, to ask about the lack of signups for my class, he cut me off mid-sentence, made me wait for 15 minutes, and then sent me home without a resolution. I ended up losing $200 on my deposit, which he claims was nonrefundable, despite his not saying so upfront. I would advise anyone considering partnering with A.R.T. to make sure all terms are in writing before making a payment.
