This place has so much variety is my go to spot when I have a special occasion I need to buy a gift for. Today, I was shopping and a worker came over and offered me a chocolate covered strawberry because she has just made some fresh for the store. So sweet & so nice! What an incredible experience. My wife and I stopped here to pick up a gift for a friend, and I cannot begin to explain how incredible this store was. The sheer selection and variety is monstrous. Given the selection, you'd be hard-pressed to not find what you're looking for. The store literally feels like you walked into the set of a Hallmark movie. The staff are absolutely wonderful. How have I lived in Rutherford for a year and never step foot in Goffins? I'm actually angry with myself! I went for a little walk since it's been so nice out and they had their door open and I decided to take a look since I pass it everyday and have never actually went inside. Right away you're hit with beautiful colors, sparkling jewelry, cute clothes, mugs, tumblers, anything and everything you could dream of for cute little gifts! Of course somehow I just happened to find the chocolate corner. TONS of delicious goodies. Now they are a bit pricey per pound but worth it in my opinion. Everything looked unique and fresh. I've never seen the variations of chocolate pretzels they have anywhere else! I got Twix, butterfinger, and Kit Kat pretzels! So delicious. I stuck with that because I didn't wanna go overboard on my very first purchase but they had every chocolate you'd see on a Jersey shore boardwalk. Giant peanut butter cups, raspberry jellies, chocolate covered smores, truffles, marshmallows and also some regular candy. I'll definitely try a little bit of everything eventually. Aside from the fantastic sweets selection, they really do have a gift for everyone and every occasion. The workers are also very nice, I was helped right away with all my needs. On the cusp of my 50th check-in I guess it's (finally) time to confess my love for Goffin's. Many years ago the front-half was drab and dark and a bit scary.  (It had Catholic grammar school vibes, complete with the nuns that never smiled.) Then - out of nowhere - they completely revitalized it and now it's bright and cheery and welcoming.  And it's loaded with a crazy assortment of items you'd actually want to buy as gifts or keep for yourself.  (There's a Danny DeVito novelty candle that always catches my eye, I won't lie.) But the back-half of Goffin's is where it's at and why I frequent this store as much as I do. MAILMAN BIT BY DOG GET WELL SOON CARD GODPARENTS TO BILINGUAL PARROT BIRTHDAY CARD STUDENT TO NUNS THAT NEVER SMILE SYMPATHY CARD The staff writers at Hallmark HQ must be chained to their desks trying to whip up all the unique and interesting and oddball cards that you'll find on the shelves here.  When I was a kid you'd hit your local drug store and have one Mother's Day card to pick and nowadays you'll find at least a dozen options. Yeah, Hallmark puts out their Christmas stuff in late summer but I received an awesome Star Wars ornament for my birthday that one of my kids found here so I can't complain (too much). And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my kids love the (fancy) candy they have here as well. Staff - always friendly. Pricing - solid (especially if you're a member of Hallmark's rewards program). Parking - okay, that's a nightmare, especially in this hectic part of town. Once again Goffin' Hallmark Shop has knocked my holiday shopping out of the park. This year I did nutcrackers for mom. The store is stocked with amazing things. You can stroll through the store and not feel rushed. I always tell myself I must go back after the holiday(especially for my birthday), but I always get wrapped up in things I have to do.I MUST return in 2024 to stock up on my Hallmark things. When you are walking around you are greated by the owners and staff of the store. They not only say hello but ask if you need help. I can be here for hours. It's street metered parking and there's a garage behind the store...need to drive around the block for it. Staff is so friendly and very helpful. What's awesome is they can wrap your present plus they have hallmark cards all the way in the back plus it's a great selection....like I said I can be here for hours. They also have a chocolate/candy section where you buy by the weight like chocolate covered gummy bears!!! Lots of cute restaurants around it....Def stop by! I went to Goffins to get a welled bracelet done with my sisters and i had a very disappointing expericence. After we left my sisters bracelet fell off as soon as she walked out the door which onl tells you that it was not done correctly which means my was not done correctly as well. I went into the store today because I realized my bracelet fell off and to let them know the bracelet done a week ago today and it fell off and I could not find it. I tried to explain to the owner that my bracelet fell off within a week and i could not find it. He wanted to charge me an additional $62.50 to replace it on top of the $118.00 i spent a week ago to get it on. To anyone who wants to get the welled bracelets done I would not recommend going to Goffins in Rutherford because they are a rip off and they would not work with. Barry the owner was rude and would not work with you he was worried about making money off you. read more

I have been searching for a Hallmark Gold Crown store in the area and found this one. Surprisingly I had already been here looking around while waiting to eat at the Rutherford Pancake House. It is a nice store, fully stocked with cards, ornaments, chocolates and other gifts. The reason why I came here was to take advantage of the after Christmas sale on the Hallmark keepsake ornaments. This used to be a favorite memory of mine, going to the store the day after Christmas to get new ornaments for next year. I am so glad I can continue this tradition now that I have found Goffin's. I called yesterday to make sure they still had Christmas ornaments available. They told me they did so I got in my car and made the drive. I was glad I did. I was able to get a few for our tree next year and even picked up a last minute gift for a dear friend. If I keep this up we will have to get a new or even second tree for the house. :) The staff was very friendly and even let me test a couple of the ornaments to make sure they worked because all sales are final. Staff has become increasingly rude over time and increasingly incompetent. Not the same Goffin's that I have been shopping at for the last 20 plus years. Would be great if they knew how to use the register and box a gift item. Imagine that, I expect competence. I have given them multiple try's to clean up their act, it keeps getting worse. I'll echo the other reviews that this store is well stocked and maintained, they have everything you could imagine and some things you hadn't thought of. Also the staff is friendly and helpful, which is an accomplishment for New Jersey retail stores. Rather than do nothing, the staff spends time diligently working on the appearance of the store, while wearing skin tight yoga pants. The brunette with the long legs is my favorite since she's able to contort herself into different positions while working. However, the blonde with the green eyes who remains in a standing position is also lovely due to her spectacular rear end.
