Recently, I was looking for an outfit for a holiday party, and found several selections to choose from. I ended up with a lovely, bright red sweater that just screamed Christmas (in a cute way). I got so many compliments on it, and everyone wanted to know where I got it. Bonus for the massive parking lot here - although there's almost always a spot right up front. I'm definitely keeping Adora on my list of fave consignment shops in the valley.

Their selection of items is increasing, and the store is still clean and well organized. There were plenty of staff on duty on the busy day we visited, and the line moved fast. My only issue is the lighting is really bad here - they use LED lighting which is hung much too high, so most of the store appears dark and gloomy. Still, based on yesterday's visit I'll definitely return for another visit when I'm in Sedro and in a thrifting mood.

I originally found the Encore Shoppe when I was working retail in college and constantly needed to clean out my closet to make room for new clothes (isn't college hard?!). At the time I was living in Bellingham and working in Burlington, so the location was very convenient. Even though I now live in Seattle, I still make the drive up to Mt Vernon few times a year to drop things off. The Encore Shoppe's owner is fantastic! She is so friendly and is usually running things at the store. Even though I only make a visit in occasionally (due to the drive), she always remembers me and thanks me for coming so far. She's even held extras of my clothes (that weren't in season yet), which it against her store policy, so that I didn't have to drive up as often. I am really grateful for all the awesome service I received at this place and am even more grateful when my check comes in the mail a few months later! This place rocks.
