The boba was pretty good! Not too hard and not too soft. I tried the strawverry avalanche it was pretty good and was well blended but kinda had too much strawberry syrup which made it too sweet. Other than that it was great! read more

This was my first experience eating Pho and will definitely not be my last. Fantastic service from Eric answering my 20 questions about anything and everything. The main reason I wanted to eat here was because I have never been to a pho joint that has not had a number or some reference to a city or dish in its title i.e. Pho 95, 99, Saigon, Bo, Che, etc. I mean, Sprouts and Spring Roll in the name of a Vietnamese noodle house? That is completely absurd. Even more absurd? The decor and food. In a good way, though. Also, I wanted to see how this conveniently-located restaurant was run because it caters to Lamar High School students as well as hospital workers. It obviously cannot be normal-pho dirty, in terms of atmosphere. This restaurant belongs in New York, seriously. Nowhere that I have enjoyed a bowl of noodles and beef broth has ever given a long, trendy plate with an individual portion of bean sprouts and a separate square bowl on top of that rectangular plate. Also, no pho place probably ever got an A-health rating, but from what I saw, Sprouts probably chalked up an A. Cleanliness and brightness play a role in the environment and the food here. The broth was not my favorite because I prefer mine more unhealthy: meatier, greasier, and abundantly MSG-laden. Oh well, I am sure it is great to people who enjoy a nice light pho broth. No need to comment on the meat or noodles; they are the same everywhere. The spring rolls were run-of-the-mill and good, and the duck spring rolls were great. The moist duck was warm, and crispy skin was also a component. Food-wise, all the elements were there. You had your sriracha, though not in a squeezable bottle; you had your bean sprouts, individually portioned; and your had your typical menu, with some outliers... namely edamame and Korean BBQ. Here, you pay a bit more for the food, mostly for the cleanliness I assume. I do not care much for sanitation and service, but it is a great concept. You do not get the same nitty-gritty atmosphere and food you get at a true, authentic, American pho place, but the tastes are there. read more

Interior design is awesome. If you sit at the tables alongside the wall, their side items are placed in a little opening in the wall (how convenient). I went with a friend and we had the pot stickers, fried tofu and crispy chicken spring rolls with pineapple sauce. I was a bit wary of the pineapple sauce since I've only had peanut sauce but this sauce was downright tasty. Everything was delicious. My friend ordered Thai tea boba and said it was good. Service was prompt and the pricing is good. read more

It's a cute place to bring people who have never had pho before. Is it the greatest bowl I've ever had? No. Far from it. But it's safe, clean, and a decent enough place to bring your culturally conservative friends. Good amount of noodles and meat. The broth didn't blow me away. They sell cute t-shirts and sell boba tea. Their teas are too sweet for me, but still pretty good. At least they're super clean! read more

Pho was overpriced and the regular portions weren't that great. The broth was a little bland but the meatballs were good. They also have the pho challenge which I've tried and failed :( Word of advice, don't drink the broth with the boba tea straw they give you. read more

I honestly cannot believe how long it took my to review this place! It has become such a staple! After class one day, my friend suggested that we come here. Thank God I listened to her, because this place is everything! Sprout's is a cool spot that makes great food. You can choose between a table, a booth or a patio table. Although there isn't a lot of space, it's very organized. It can get busy and their can be a wait. The staff is super friendly. I love the fact that they strike up conversations, are timely and even remember your name. It makes the experience worthwhile. I've been to Sprout's quite a bit so I don't have any in depth (food) review, but here are some of my HG (holy grail) dishes! Dishes to Try: - Chicken or Grilled Pork spring rolls - House Eggrolls - Torpedo Shrimp - Basil Chicken Rice Dish | This is one of my favorite dishes from Sprout's! The chicken is flavorful and I love the salad dressing that is included! - Chicken Teriyaki Rice Dish - Seafood Pho - Grilled Chicken or Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli | Love Love L O V E these dishes! So fresh and tasty! Drinks to Try: - Green Tea Shake | Order it & thank me later. - Peppermint Mocha | Christmas in a cup & better than Starbucks. Yep, I said it! - Taro Milk Tea | This is a hit or miss for some. I liked it but my friends did not. Ask your waiter to explain it to you & then decide. Tips: - If you are planning to go around lunch time, either call ahead or order to go! It gets super busy. - There are a few tables outside to eat. It's great during the day or at night. - Even though Sprout's has generous portions, sometimes you still want to order an appetizer. I recommend ordering a half order of spring rolls, that way you get one roll instead of two. [Note: The order usually comes with two rolls.] - For pho, I will always recommend ordering the regular pho unless you are super hungry or you have a large appetite. The regular is ALWAYS packed. I either finish it or I don't, but I always end up full and that is without having an appetizer! - Sprout's has a Super Bowl Pho challenge. To be honest, I don't know why you would do this to yourself, but hey, no judgement. If you can eat a huge bowl of pho through one sitting you get your picture on the wall and a "Pho Killa" t-shirt. If you do decide to try it, may the force be with you. - Check out the Sprout's website! If it's your first time and you want to know what they have, check the website! They have the menu there - from the appetizers to the drinks. Sprout's has become one of my favorite spots. When my family comes to visit, I will definitely be bringing them to Sprout's! read more

There seems to be a lot of hype for this restaurant but I've had much better. The pho meat chunks were not very tender and the broth was a little bland. Only time I would really go back is with friends that want to go and for the super bowl challenge. read more

I honestly would give it less but the food is actually good. The service however is never good, it's always the same server too. Cool guy just doesn't have a great since of urgency, and hasn't gotten the hang of serving time management skills. This place has vegetarian pho! Hallelujah! That stuff is hard to find, and generally isn't available in more authentic pho places. Definitely get an order of spring rolls to start - the place is named after them for a reason. I've heard great things about the crispy chicken spring rolls, but the veggie spring rolls are top notch - light, flavorful, and packed with fresh herbs - and the peanut sauce is wonderful. The veggie pho is delicious, but you need to take it in context - this stuff is not the dense, soul-warming beef-broth-based pho you'll find at authentic pho shops (although that is available here!). This is to traditional Pho as Cal-Mex cuisine is to traditional Mexican. It's a lighter, fresher version, with all the gentle, ritualistic pleasantness of eating traditional pho. Interactive food at its finest. I've tried a few other things on the menu as well - the vermicelli bowls are delicious, and there's a veggie egg roll version which is quite well done. I haven't delved into the rice plates as much, but I've heard good things. I was somewhat underwhelmed by the egg noodles, but I generally find egg noodles rather underwhelming, so that could just be me. The avocado boba tea was fascinating and quite tasty. The setting is bright, airy, and quite well put-together for a small strip mall kind of joint. The booths are nice, but they do a hopping lunch hour, so if you get there late you may end up sharing one of the long tables in the middle of the restaurant with a friendly stranger or two. They've also got a few outdoor tables (standard metal patio furniture), which is lovely when the weather is nice, even if the view is mostly of a parking lot. The servers are always on point, and the place is small enough that it never gets too terribly loud - even in the very busiest lunch hours. Bonus points for being right next to a Marble Slab and across the parking lot from Half Price books. :-) read more

I have to admit, that I prefer Thai food over Vietnamese, so with my limited budget ($ & calories), I tend to go with Thai. As a result, I haven't eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants and don't claim to be an expert. I usually get the Pork Vermicelli bowls. The version here is tasty, fresh and light. We also like the spring rolls. I had the Beef Pho here and it was better than the last two restaurants I tried it at. More complex flavor in the broth. The service here is friendly and helpful. The decor is very hip - I like. read more

This place is small and the decor was nice. That is a good start! Table are not full with plenty of staffs on the floor, but no one is even bother to clean the table. I was in line waiting for a table and there's one person ahead waiting also. Finally get to sit down and one of the table attach to mine wasn't clean. I have to inhale my food down so i can leave. It just bother me to sit and eat with a dirty attach table. If you like the Americanized Asian food, this is the place for you! I only go for the real authentic food. This place is expensive and food qualities is not so great for my taste buds. read more

Decided to try a new place for a hot bowl today. It's a pretty little place and everything we ordered was presented beautifully. I loved the spring rolls - for a place that has this in their name they better be good. In fact my boyfriend eats them frequently and he says these are the best he's ever had. The pho was decent and everything was very good and fresh. I was disappointed though, in the amount of meat served in the 'Large' bowl. Slightly pricier than other joints I frequent but not enough to make much difference. I suppose I would go back. read more

I have never felt so rushed to leave. Food is so good. Sign clearly says they close at 5. We got there at 4:15 all the chairs were on the tables. Entrees came literally came a minute after the appetizers. In the middle of our meal, our check was brought to us. I even saw them turn away a lady who just wanted drinks at 4:30. I understand employees want to go home early but if you're supposed to close at 5, you have to stay open til 5. read more

I had to add a review because I couldn't find anyone that mentioned the grilled pork spring rolls! I am a regular here and every my boyfriend and I come here, we know that the grilled pork spring rolls are the first thing to be ordered. I always wanted to try pho, so the middle kid took me out for dinner while my less culinarily adventurous missus is out of town. OK, so the spring rolls are nothing like the deep fried treats that I know and love, but they were not bad. We had the grilled shrimp spring roll. Nicely grilled shrimp, chilled noodles and some leafy vegetable in a transparent wrapper and served with a pineapple dipping sauce. The flavors were rather muted for my palate, but it was well executed. I should have asked for peanut sauce, though... For our main course, I had the deluxe beef bowl. I can now state unequivocally that I am not a fan of tripe, but the slices of eye round and the meatballs were tasty. The bowl was chock full of noodles and green onions. Bean sprouts and a sprig of basil were served on the side. The broth was delicate and well balanced. Again, I prefer stronger flavors, so a spoonful of hoisin sauce went into my bowl. Boba tea... I can think of better things to do with my tapioca. We're pretty sure that we were not served the flavor we asked for and I've got friends who rave about boba so much that I'm going to say that this isn't the greatest place to get it. If you are one of the more evolutionarily advanced among us, like me, who tower over our peers, I caution you to sit at a booth. The chairs and tables were low enough to make me feel like I was at a parent-teacher conference in elementary school. Overall, a decent experience. I don't think this will become one of my personal favorites, but I happily recommend it to those who are interested. read more

Nice little place clean and full of life! I had seafood pho and spring rolls delish !

why for 2 whole spring rolls pay $7? i came in with my mom for togo and recently found all of their prices have changed. i think it's outrageous for 2 spring rolls cut in halves (4 pieces) to be $7. the price used to be $4.50, now it's way too overpriced. they also give literally 6 slices of eye round in the beef pho. i got a small but smalls at other pho shops give you a filling amount.. but 6 slices is so stingy. cant believe the management will cheat customers with no meat and if you order extra it'll be another 6 slices for you! read more

I love this no-frills pho spot. I'm actually not a fan of pho. But they had a lot to choose from and I was feeling adventurous. The spring rolls and rice dishes were excellent. Americanized Vietnamese food, but good nonetheless. This restaurant is frequented by a ton of college kids. The food is good, but the flavors are not as intense as authentic Vietnamese food is/as I like. The sauces are watered down & they use lower grade cuts of meat. Fresh! So fresh! Mm! Vegetarian and seafood pho options. Really important for pescetarians and veg*ns! Yay. Now we can have pho too! Also lots of great options for spring rolls. Vegetarian option for almost everything so GO TEAM. The fried vegetable egg rolls I ordered had a suspiciously meat like substance in it, but I'm of the don't ask don't tell crowd. I got a small bowl of seafood pho - the broth was a little too sweet and I didn't discover the fixins hanging on the wall until much too late. (aw). Still, the spring rolls were good and my mother loved the chicken-peanut lettuce wraps she got. Portions were huge, and it was well priced. The best thing was the freshness of the veggies, though. Crunch, crunch everywhere. Beansprouts were perfect, the bok choy was perfect, the jalapeno so crisp! Mm! I really was impressed. read more

I am incredibly picky with my pho. I don't think I can find a place that comes close to the best one I've had. That being said, this place is good for a quick pho fix if you're in the area. It's flavorful and has a good amount of noodles and veggies inside for a decent price. It lost a couple stars because the broth didn't come out as hot as normal pho places. I like to order my flank steaks on the side so I can cook it in the broth as I eat, but I wasn't able to do that because it had already cooled down significantly when it came out. So that was disappointing. I also got the torpedo shrimp. Definitely recommend that to anyone who likes crab ragoons. It's like that but with shrimp and cream cheese. It was so delicious that I almost wanted to order a second plate for myself. read more

This has become on of our favorite local places. We probably never would have went in if our kid's had not told us it was good. It has the feel of a Mom and Pop place but the look and decor of a well thought out chain store. They have a great group of polite young staff. All the meals are very fresh and tastes great. The smoothies are really good as well. If your ever in the area at Six Flags or just passing through try this place out. If your local then you really need to check it out. read more

Nice and cafe with tasty Pho and bun (noodle bowls). While there are other better Vietnamese restaurants, this is one of the few places for it on the north side of Arlington. Very clean restaurant with contemperary decor, although it's small so often cramped at peak times. Good egg rolls as well as fresh spring rolls. Go somewhere else for banh mi. Their boba tea is decent but they don't do frappes (I instead recommend Bethany near UTA for boba in Arlington). read more

Tried this place for the first time last week and I have to say that I will become a regular. The decor is nice and service is pretty good. I had thier orange chicken and spring rolls (chicken). Wow it was good! I dont eat a lot of this type of food but looks like I have been missing out. Second visit had the chicken Pho. It was so good and I was upset at myself for going all this time without ever eating PHO! Granted this is the only place I have ever eaten Pho at so, cut me a break. I had to take some spring rolls to go for later. Only draw back is that the place is small and during peak lunch hours it gets pretty busy. read more

I would give it 3 stars if it wasn't for the great price for the quantity. I felt a little rushed since that place gets crowded quick. It's a cute small place. Definitely not for a big crowd. Service performance was average nothing over the top, servers weren't too conversational. Spring rolls were a little colder than I would have liked, but that's ok. It's a little overrated. Been here twice and same rushed service. It's the only downside. That pho is good but I haven't been any place where the taste is any different. If u want the biggest bang for ur buck than definitely come here. I promise you won't be able to finish your food. Leaves you full and satisfied. read more

Shortly after I posted my other review of Sprout's (as in a few hours), Alex, the owner, messaged me and apologized for the service I encountered. He asked me to come back and give them another chance. I took his offer and came back tonight. While I did have a take out order, the service was great and the food was just as much so.
