A brekky lunch spot. Attached to Vitera's HQ so feels a bit like a cafeteria. Quick service. Entrance under renovations so go in the back.

This coffee shop was also very COVID conscience with plexiglass and a line separating for distance. I truly appreciated this was still in place! The coffee itself was unbelievable! It was so smooth and full of flavor. We got a latte with oat milk and a salted caramel latte. Both exceeded our expectations! Please make sure to visit and support this local shop!

We've grown used to the heirloom beans, light fresh roasts, direct trade ethical deliciousness at our neighbourhood place in Montreal (call us hipsters! we accept this!) And so when we found the beans at 33 1/3 we were just so happy. Roasted within a few days, beautifully brewed, light and full of the complex flavour of the beans, and served by passionate if surly professionals. The surly is the only reason I deducted a star, there's no reason to provide less warmth and care than places with shittier product. This is an unnecessary feature of too many third wave coffee places. Or maybe it was just a bad day. Bonus - there's a super delicious and friendlier small brewer on site serving up some super freaking tasty local beer, and giving generous samples!!

On par with anything in Vancouver and I would place it in the top 5 in Canada as least. It is always a relief when previous reviews match up to your experience. And this is it did and more. The Baristas know how to pull a round, flavourful shot that is smooth and lacks the bitterness you find in so many coffee houses today. They keep their machine tuned and their people trained and it shows. I would make a trip across Regina for this coffee alone (and I have). That's not the end of it. Their baked goods are fantastic as are their various savoury menu offerings. And if you are lucky and get in early enough you may be able to snag one of their daily scone specials. I live in Victoria BC and you would think that being surrounded by Scots you could find plenty of great scones. Not so. The scones at French Press are light and fluffy with a crisp exterior and melt in your mouth. Likely THE BEST SCONE I have ever tasted. I can only say that if you have not tried this spot you are missing something truly special.

I sat on the comfortable couch and worked on my homework and everything was fine except for a rude old man who complained to me that I should not sit there for some unknown reason. The couch space next to me and surrounding chairs were all empty though. He could have sat down.

Alas, I wasn't, but I was sure paying Granville Island prices for it (without the harbour view, seagulls and street entertainers). Alas, they only had a hot sunny day patio overlooking a dusty parking lot and traffic to show for it. Apart from the hefty price tag, these people can really bake. My raspberry cream cheese brownie ($3.55) kept for two days and tasted divine with lactose-free Natrel milk. Unbelievable. This one alone's worth going back for. I got a lemon curd tart to go as well (at a steep $4.75) and this one, made with a fresh butter crust and lemons, is fabulous for anyone with a tart-sweet fix. Quality is right up there but portions are tiny for price. I'm beginning to smarten up and realize that there are good places in town, but you pay an arm and a leg for it cause they virtually have no competition. Well, really, even the terrible places you pay an arm and a leg for. On the bright side, this also means I'm saving a lot of money cause I'm not eating out 4x a week like in Vancouver. Parking is easy as is most everywhere here and definitely a nice place to gab with a girlfriend or catch up with family.
