This place is amazing when you first walk in. There are tons of beautiful desserts and they all look delicious. I am kind of a sweets snob I think, but for this review I even asked my husband what he thought. I got the profiterole, (mostly because I had seen a picture of it on their google review) however, it tasted like it had been baked a few days ago and sat in the fridge. It was stale when I'm paying over $5 for one piece of dessert I feel like it should taste better than that. I was hugely disappointed. I didn't tell my husband my thoughts, I made him take a bite and he said the exact same thing, so I know I'm not being crazy! I also got the seasonal fruit tart- this was amazing. I would definitely buy this again. If I have to be picky it also did not taste fresh, but not as bad as the profiterole. Last but not least we decided to get the macarons. I loved them, they were light and fluffy, but crunchy and chewy. The filling could definitely use a bit more flavour, but they were good. Next time we go (yes I will be going again) I'm going to try different desserts because they have so many to chose from- and they all LOOK amazing. read more

Le Macaron was pleasantly surprising and admirable in that their menu items range from simple baked breads to pâtisserie and viennoiseries to beautiful collections of Entremets and a varied drink menu. The ambiance is quite elegant and the place is always clean and quiet. It can get confusing though sometimes as the tills are in the middle of the display cases so the customers will browse right and left and then drift back to the line in the middle to order. The cakes are absolutely gorgeous and i find this the only place in the city that makes Entremets that doesn't overwhelm with sweetness. I moved away from Regina and recently came back for the first time in two years. So I stopped in to Le Macaron last night and saw that nothing has changed all that much. Huge, delicious macarons, beautiful cakes, and cozy decor. With that said, the less than satisfactory service hasn't changed either. The space is plastered with signs, "NO COMPUTERS", "THIS TABLE IS FOR 5-6 GUESTS ONLY", and "THIS TABLE IS FOR RESERVATIONS ONLY", "THIS SECTION IS CLOSED" ... honestly it is the most offputting thing ever and makes customers feel like management just wants you to give them your money and get out. Whoever thought these signs would be a good idea has some serious OCD. We stayed until closing time when the staff knocked on a glass door next to us and said "We're closed." and walked away .. no hi, no excuse me, no "just wanted to let you know.", it was only slightly more polite than a GTFO. I honestly felt embarrassed in front of the other party we invited with us... If you just want desserts and don't mind being treated with minimal respect, go here. If you actually want some form of service along with your $6 torte, head over to Vic Avenue where there's another cake shop that actually appreciates your presence in their cafe. read more

Very good quality coffees and pastries here. One of my favorite, gab-with-your-best-friend over lattes and biscotti places in Regina. The quality is easily comparable to any bakery in Vancouver and with a fresh rotation of macaron flavours, you cannot go wrong. Sometimes the macaron crusts get a little thick and pasty but the flavours are interesting enough to keep everyone coming back for more. I've ordered a birthday cake for a friend before and they easily customized one for me. It's the only decent place for good cake here, forget about grocery store cakes *yuck -except from Fresh St. or Whole Foods*. I came into town to visit my friend & was pleasantly surprised to be treated to a quaint dessert coffee shop in the city's east end. The shops decor was bright with lots of windows.  Thank goodness it was a sunny day - it felt like summer.  Together with the special desserts we picked - it was lip smacking good. We ordered the carrot torte with cream cheese icing & a chocolate "the bomb" - my name for this creamy dessert.  We went there on a Sunday afternoon & managed to get a nice table in the back sunny section.  It was busy around 3:00 pm so if u want a quick snack - go after around 4 pm - just before supper.  Parking is readily available. Amazing food with tons of gluten free options! The gluten free crêpes very obviously use buckwheat flour (which I personally am not a huge fan of) so they have a bit of an odd aftertaste. The desserts, however, are absolutely delicious! Options varying from, of course, macarons to cake. A huge bonus is their adorable decor! The entire café is decorated in Parisian style (including the bathroom!). There is a fireplace in the main room which adds a sense of coziness and around the corner from where you can watch the crêpes being made is a gorgeous covered patio. It feels much more secluded than the main room but offers the same Parisian vibe. Overall it was rather expensive but a great place for coffee and dessert. read more

This is a good spot to grab a coffee. The spacious dining room is broken into several sections with comfy high backed chairs, so its a nice stop to grab a cup and chat. The coffee itself is tasty - fresh ground and brewed well. It doesn't taste burnt or stale, but is a well rounded blend. I would typically prefer a single origin pourover, but every and now and then I don't mind just a good 'normal' coffee. Last time I was in I grabbed an Americano and it was well made. Good espresso, strong and tasty but not acidic. My friend got a latte and it seemed to be steamed well. They don't necessarily have your usual coffee shop selection of specialty drinks, but they've got the basics and a few of their own, so well done. There is also a bakery section that deserves mentioning. I haven't got a chance to try anything yet, but I was at least impressed by their presentation and art work. read more

Great Cafe, great selection of desserts and of course macarons. My sister took me here while I was visiting from out of town and I was very impressed. A neat little spot what loads of seating inside and out. A great feel inside with dining chairs for 'tea' and outside with tables and sun and a view for street cafe experience. Impressive selection of well presented desserts from pumpkin cake, mascarpone dish to a good selection of macarons. Some were Matcha green tea, salted caramel, chocolate espresso, lemon, and more. Some flourless options as well. Definitely worth a try and Regina should be happy to talk about it and attend often. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Ordered a mochachino, Mediterranean crepe, and side Caesar salad. The drink was great. The crepe was hot, fresh and full of flavour. Well i want to say upfront that this is not a review of the food but rather how confused I was that they wouldn't even serve me food. I went this this morning because they advertise to be open at 7am and I was looking for an alternative to McDonalds for breakfast. Looked very appealing but when I arrived at 7:30 to order a crepe I was told no and they wouldn't be ready until 8. My advice from the customers perspective is to have your food ready to serve when you open your doors as it was quite the let down. Prep work should happen before the doors open otherwise you should not open until 8 when you are actually ready to serve the customer. read more

This cafe is the best in Regina hands down! their food is always on point, in the years of being a customer I have not gotten a bad coffee or desert. They are creative and add new things regularly. Their crepes are out of this world good! This cafe is expensive, so we go once in a while as a special treat. but it always delicious. I enjoy seeing the staff working in the kitchen, so you know it's an open atmosphere. I have noticed with new staff that they are not as focused and don't know the menu as well as some others who have been there a while. This can be frustrating because it can lessen the experience as times. read more

I just went for crepes this morning and I'm extremely disappointed. The crepes were pre-made and thrown on the crepe griddle whenever there was an order. I don't think its to much to ask to have a fresh crepe made in front of me. Bacon was cooking on the same griddle the crepes were warmed up on. As a vegetarian I was disgusted to see that it was not washed off before the crepes were put on. When I requested the chef clean it I was glared at. Can someone say cross contamination? I ordered a glass of water to go with my breakfast. Guess who never received water? I asked the barista a second time and despite confirming she would get me some she walked away and started doing other things. Overall I am disappointed with the service I received and the crepes were not good enough to make up for this poor experience. The macarons were neon, coloured with artificial dyes. I can only imagine what sort of junk they use in their crepes. Tread with caution. read more

Went for coffee with a friend in the evening and were looking forward to sitting in the solarium room as it is so beautiful and comfortable and a bit more outdoorsy. There was a sign saying no one allowed in that area. The staff informed us, they only use it as over-flow. We sat in the main area and then noticed a large group in that area. Asked again if we could sit in there and were informed that group was only allowed in since there wasn't room for them in the main area. Seemed odd to us that this beautiful open space was not available to any one who wanted to sit there? Staff were not the most pleasant. read more
