This is a long time favorite of mine. I recently had a great vegan pizza and double espresso. The waiter was very nice as were the rest of the staff. I received fast service even though they had many of the tables full already. The waiter helped me choose my pizza and then offered shakers of oregano and crushed peppers. This is my second time coming to Spris and I have to say, the food continues to be solid. Tonight, I came with two other people and we decided to share a Hawaiana pizza, classic bruschetta, the soup of the day (zucchini soup), and some tiramisu to finish. The food was great and it's actually worth the wait! Everything about the bruschetta was great and the pizza was amazing. Spris definitely knows how to make a mean dough. The zucchini soup came in a bowl looking all plain and Hulk green but don't let that fool you! The soup was light yet flavorful and went perfectly with everything we had. It was like a break from all the doughy goodness! The tiramisu had good flavor but it was just a tad bit soggy. I honestly don't think the price they charge for the tiramisu is reasonable but it's Miami Beach so what can you do! Our waiter was pleasant and helpful with menu recommendations however he was not very attentive after we ordered as well as after our food had arrived - hence, the four stars. For starters, I was never given a brand new set of plate and tableware until I asked for it, which was around twenty minutes after we had been seated. We also had to keep getting his attention just to ask for parmesan and chili flakes and eventually, a water refill. There's something frustrating and sad when your water slowly runs out and you don't see anyone coming to refill your glass and inevitably, you run out of water and have no choice but to ask one of the people you came with to have a sip of their water. Overall, good quality food that's reasonably priced in Lincoln Road (except for the tiramisu, in this case) but so-so service. I'd recommend it for the pizza definitely if you're in a group but if you're roaming solo, Pizza Rustica a few doors down sells by the (big) slice. read more

Usually get one of their incredible salads and some pizza for the table to share. You can always tell a good restaurant in south beach, when it's full of locals. Spris has great potential but unfortunately is like so many restaurants in Miami Beach: plagued by inconsistencies. Fortunately, they are trending up so I am willing to forgive mistakes of the past (the grandest one being an extremely rude phone operator who refused to take my delivery order because they were busy, opting instead to hang up on me. My boyfriend vowed to never go back, but see how forgiving I am?). On to more pleasant topics. The food is very good. The Formaggio di Capra salad is a good size; the spinach is always fresh and they are liberal with the extras like goat cheese and pine nuts. Note they only serve olive oil and balsamic vinegar as dressing. The pizzas are thin crust, Italian style. They can be greasy but the flavors are bright and the pizzas well cooked. The Brie e Pomodoro bruschette is a great starter. Unsurprisingly, Spris loses points for service. The servers can be absent and ambivalent, but during today's lunch the manager picked up the slack. Hopefully the trend of improvement will continue at this lovely Lincoln Road eatery. This is pretty good restaurant for the lincoln mall strip, which seems to be full of mediocre restaurants. The service and food were both great. We ordered: - Quinoa tabbouleh salad: this was delicious - different than traditional tabbouleh, but still great and full of flavor - 4.5 stars - Beef carpaccio with arugula, hearts of palm, and avocado: delicious, but needed some sort of balsamic vinegar or something similar - 4 stars - The bandiera pizza: tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, arugula, and grana padano - good pizza, but they put way too much grana padano on the pizza, taking over the flavor of the whole pizza - 3.5 stars read more

Hands-down the best pizza in Miami. I've been eating at Spris for years, frequently throughout a four-year stint living in South Beach, and often enough since moving across the causeway. Spris has remained consistently fantastic. Spris fires up its pizzas in a brick oven, and the resulting crispy thin crust is delicious enough to eat alone or drizzled with olive oil and balsamic. The pizza menu lists at least 20 varieties of topping combinations (the recently-resurrected bresaola, arugula, and Parmesan is my absolute favorite), but the servers and chefs are perfectly amenable to substitutions and alterations (sun-dried tomatoes and extra basil, thank you). Don't just come here for the pizza, though: Spris salads are some of the best I've had in Miami. Try the Di Tonno, with imported oil-packed Italian tuna, roasted red peppers, corn and baby greens in a light homemade lemon dressing. Or get a pizza and a simple green salad with shaved Parmesan and a delicious tangy homemade balsamic dressing. Appetizers, while decent, are nothing to write home about: the usual suspects of bruschetta and carpaccio. I would skip them altogether. For dessert, if you have room after filling up on salad and pizza, skip also the cakes and pies, which always taste like that funky smell inside a freezer case. Ick. The pre-packaged sherbets, though, are yummy and fun, served inside their respective fruits' shells. I'm partial to the coconut sherbet, myself. I'll generally get a salad, sneak a slice or two of pizza off a friend's plate, and end the meal with an espresso. They're not on the menu, but you can ask your server to bring you some Italian almond cookies to go with your coffee. Mmm. Another little-known fact: while seated at Spris, if you suddenly decide you're in the mood for homemade pasta or a steaming pot of mussels and frites, you can order from the menus of adjacent sister-restaurants Tiramesu or Le Bon instead. So, despite a couple of questionable dessert offerings and some seriously sluggish weekend service (you'll be too busy people-watching to notice anyway), I think my five-star rating is more than well-deserved. I was in Miami on work/vacation and my girl friend and I went to Lincoln Road to shop and grab a bite to eat. I searched yelp for a place with some gluten free options, and Spris came up. I was more than delighted to find at least one place that was accommodating to gluten allergies. Unfortunately, I never stepped foot inside the restaurant because the Hostess was extremely rude and unwelcoming. I asked if they were having any happy hour specials and she snapped saying that there was no bar and we'd have to sit at the bar next door. When I asked to see a menu and questioned her about the gluten free options she threw the menu in my face and aggressively pointed to the gluten free pizza. My friend and I both looked at each other and decided it would be best to maybe try somewhere else. When we told her we may be back she forcefully grabbed the menu from us and said "um K." I'm sure this place has great pizza and great gluten free pizza, but they lost my business because of that awful hostess. If they want to stay in business I'd suggest hiring a new Host. read more

We were starving at 1am, and thanks to the trusty iPhone, we found this place was open. We got the Caprese salad, which was quite literally an entire ball of uncut fresh mozz with a few tom slices. I LOVE cheese, and i was starving, so it worked out okay, but the cheese/tomato equality was way off. We also got a pizza with Arugula and Proscuitto that was pretty good. I have a similar pizza I get up here in Hollywood, so Im always looking for one to top it.... it came in 2nd. The waitress was eager to get off her shift (which is understandable, being a server myself), and I cant give 'em too much grief cause they saved our lives at 1am! Over all, pretty good. OH! Lincoln Road is replete with so-so restaurants that try to lure you in with cocktail or food specials. I learned long ago that there are only a handful of places on the road that are good and Spris has always been one of those places. But last night, was the first time I've been to Spris in YEARS and I'm happy to report not much has changed. After the Yelp event, my plus-one and I decided to stroll the road for a snack and the drink. I remembered that I still had my gift card from the Mai Tardi event and suggested going to one of the locations where my $25 gift card would be accepted. Of all the choices, Spris was my favorite. Although all the tables were filled, we had prompt service. We split a pizza and a bottle of wine. Even without the gift card, the price, which included gratuity was reasonable. There was a problem, however, with the gift card. The gift card wouldn't read. I was very disappointed because the card was kind of what motivated us to go to Spris in the first place rather to another restaurant closer to Lucky Strike. The manager came over to explain. I didn't have to argue or anything. I think he just saw my sad eyes and even though the gift card issue isn't really his problem, he adjusted our bill to make it right. Is he hoping for a good Yelp review? Maybe. The bottomline is that I enjoyed my food, wine and service and appreciate places that try to make up for mistakes, inconveniences, etc. It's refreshing to know there are still some places in Miami that act as if "the customer is always right." Friend I went with last night called it the best restaurant on Lincoln (strongly disagree) and couldn't believe that this was only the 3rd time I'd been there. Not a lot of vegan-friendly menu items, but that's not the problem--it's easy to order a pizza w/o cheese or create your own cheeseless pizza w/ whatever combination of toppings you want. Still, the pizza was just meh. Sauce was bland, crust was bland. Oh and they wouldn't make a pizza half w/ cheese, half w/o, so we had to order 2 pizzas...WTF?! I went round and round about giving this 2 or 3 stars....if my return visit is better or worse it will move off the three. So, we came here & ordered Bruschetta and some pizza and a couple brews. All of our items came out together..this really disappointed me. When I'm sitting on Lincoln road waiting for my food I would like to have my beer, thanks. The bruschetta we got was good, we got the one with the cheese melted on it. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful. The bread was a little crispy, but I liked it. We had one of the specialty pizzas and it was pretty good. They went a little too heavy on the cheese, so it weighed down the dough a bit. I think it just may have been the type we ordered (the one with ricotta - I am a bad Yelper right now and can't remember the name of it). Anyhow, it made the crust a little soggy because of the topping combo, but the flavors were good. Our server, as you can guess from everything arriving at the same time sucked. I think she was new. She didn't really seem to know what was going on and ignored us most of the time we were there..... So, why did I go with 3? The flavors were decent. And the server ended up comping some of the bill (I think because she realized how crappy her service was). I also thing the pizza problems may have just been that pie, so I want to try another to see if the outcome is better texture-wise. Like I said, I'm going to go back. The return visit could result in a decrease in stars if service continues to be lacking and another pizza combo is heavy and soggy....it could go up if things are better. read more

I've always walked by this place and I've noticed this place is always on a top 10 list of pizzas in Miami. So I had to try it out. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really surprised how good everything was. My girlfriend and I ordered the Classica Bruschette, Carbonara (which is tomato sauce, mozzarella, pancetta, sunny side up eggs, parmesan and black pepper), and the Speck e Taleggio (which is tomato sauce, mozzarella, taleggio cheese and smoked ham) . The bruschette was great. The Carbonara was amazing, I loved the sunny side up egg (I've always wanted to have a pizza with an egg on top). The Taleggio was great too. I think what they focus on is great ingredients which make a great pizza (I know...I know that's Pappa John's), but seriously you can taste the difference. For a South Beach restaurant, it wasn't as pricey as one would think (all together I spent under $50). I will definitely come here again. read more

Spris is a nice little place right on Lincoln Road. They have outside seating that's awesome for people watching and a few small tables inside. We ended up sitting inside since it was pretty humid and we had a show at the Fillmore to go to. We ordered the Rucola e Prosciutto which had mozzarella, arugula and prosciutto. The pizza came out very quick and was covered in thinly sliced pieces of prosciutto. The crust was thin and crispy and tasted really good. They have a really good selection of pizzas, all baked in a wood burning oven. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

My God...this is the best pizza South Beach has to offer? Not only that....one of the few times Yelp has disappointed me....over 60 reviews...filled with 4 and 5 star reviews. My only guess is that nobody from New York or Chicago (AND knows pizza) reviewed this place. This is a forgettable pie for forgettable people. The crust: Spongy, soft bottom, ZERO char. No flavor whatsoever. None. It takes more to make a great crust than thinness. Sauce: Of what little sauce residing...or hiding...on this pie, it tasted like Chef Boyardee with some oregano added. No spice. Cheese: Poor cheese. It sat lifeless on top of this disastrous pie as if embarrassed to be there. No pull. None. Service: Snotty. Just because you live in South Beach and wear your diamond encrusted Gucci sunglasses while serving people doesn't make you anything special....after all, you ARE working in a sub-par pizza joint serving me. Went to Spris twice already - I obviously forgot to post my first review. Ok, so here are both. Went the first time with a small group (7 people). We sat indoors which was comfortable, but not nearly as fun and relaxing as sitting outdoors. Almost everybody ordered a variety of their delicious, handmade pizza. I don't recall which one I ordered, but I know I liked it. I split a salad - again don't remember which one. You must be thinking what I'm thinking right about now, "This is useless." LOL. AHA! However, I do remember the delectable dessert. It was Nutellino! Well, I remember it was delicious and if you like chocolate get it. If you like Nutella, GET IT! The second time I went I sat outside and split a ceviche with white fish and cheese calzone. I was not impressed with the ceviche. It was bland, ordinary. The calzone, on the otherhand, was fantastic! Everything from the shell/bread to the filling (ricotta and mozz) was perfectly prepared. Two people can easily share a calzone. You can never go wrong with Spris. Great pizza coupled with a good beer while people watching on Lincold Rd. Most patrons sit outside like most Lincoln rd eateries. Always interesting sitting at Spris. Right next door you have "Score" which is a gay bar/nightclub. So you have the gay crowd mixing with the strange South Beach locals and the tourists who look uncomfortable in their current surroundings. Now on to the pizza. I love the Margahrita Pizza. I've been coming to this Spris location for years now, and it never disappoints. The service is always very good and so is the food. They have a large selection of paninis and pizzas, some calzones, bruschetta, and a couple salads. I always go for the prosciutto and mozzarella, the bruschetta and any of their white pizzas. One thing I like about Spris is that if you're sitting outside at Score having drinks, you can order food from there, and they'll bring it to your table at Score. This is definitely a bonus! Who said there was no good pizza in Florida?!?!? I was so surprised to find authentic Neopolitan pizza in the heart of Miami. We ordered one pizza with grilled chicken and roasted cherry tomatoes, and another with buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto. Both were cooked to perfection. So since this weather has been gorgeous!!!! We decided to take a drive top down to lincoln road of coarse!!! I remembered my fav italian spot called "Spris"! The weather has perfect and the breeze felt just right. For appetizer I ordered Salmone e Brie Scottish smoked salmon, Brie and capers, served with toasted bread was great like usual! my type of app. Entree I ordered: Prosciutto Imported prosciutto, fresh fiordilatte mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and mayo mmm was super good, bread was baked fresh, prosciutoo was thinly sliced and delicious! My family and I decided to come here based on the positive reviews...unfortunately we did not have a positive experience. The reason I am giving this two stars is because of the service. The server was extremely rude and despite our repeated attempts to connect with her via polite etiquette, the service did not improve. Regarding the food, overall it was average. We started with an order of breadsticks, they were okay but would not recommend ordering. For our meal, we ordered two 14" pizzas-- the godfather and prosciutto. Both pizzas were pretty good, but not spectacular; the food was not good enough to redeem the poor service. I came here with like 7 girls and we all decided to grab some lunch which we thought would be inexpensive. I decided to order pasta but saw a lot of things on the menu that I liked but wanted to tweak. When the server came to me, I told her what I wanted and she said it would be done (although it wasn't exactly on the menu). The pasta itself was really tasty and such a HUGE portion but I would have much rather had a smaller portion for a smaller price. Makes much more sense. I just had a spicy penne arrabiata with chicken...tell me why it was $26? Really?! I saw the same dish with shrimp for $18 and that's with shrimp which should be more expensive. Then I knew why it was so much...on the check it said Spicy penne HOW MUCH? and the server put in her own price. Wonder why? Because she would get a bigger tip. Yeah, I guess the 50 cents was necessary to charge me $8 more than necessary. Let's just say, I definitely won't be back here again. For pasta, I will go down the street to Sibilla (however you spell it) where I know that I will spend $14 max for a great pasta dish. After a night of drinking and partying we all decided to to grab some lunch over on Lincoln road. After walking for a couple of blocks we decided to yelp a restaurant near by. As the result page came up Spris was on top of the page. 4 stars and it was inexpensive? Done deal. We had 5 people in our party and 3 of them was hungover and walking like a zombie .... As we got seated, the waitress was very helpful and patient with all of us. We order the Antipasto Spris, Di Spinach salad, mixed salad, Panotta del Contadino pizza , and Eucola e Prosciutto Crudo pizza. I have to say the pizza were pretty darn good and it was huge too! Brooklylnite Visiting Miami - AKA - high expectations of pizza. Found Spris on Yelp. Casual atmosphere, nice place for a quick-ish meal before heading out to the discotecas. The pizza here doesn't fail. It's actually pretty good - not the best pizza I've ever had, but it has a million options, and seeing that they do so much - they do it pretty well. My gf and I shared a salad (amazing - it was the parmesan - corn -arugola one), as well as a pizza with ricotta and porcini mushrooms. The cheese was a bit too thick piled on, and the crust wasn't really crusty (more flaccid). The main issue here is the service. I don't mind slow service, but the service was completely inexistent. Also, the hostess who seated us was a complete whoreface -when we asked to be seated outside (with a little drizzle) she basically barked: "You may not mind getting wet, but WE are not getting wet for YOU." Great location on Lincoln Road. We went to try their Gluten Free Pizza crust. To my surprise it was very good. You can order any combination of toppings they offer and choose the type of crust between whole wheat, regular and GF. The service was very good even though I didn't expect it being on Lincoln Road. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Nice wines are available. We ordered a Pinot Grigio. So visiting Lincoln Road, we were overwhelmed with countless dining options. So a perfect time to whip out the ol' trusty Yelp app on the phone and start eliminating our options. Finally to our delight we came upon SPRIS. Read some reviews and decided on here. The atmosphere like most of the restaurants in this stretch of outdoor enjoyment seem d a little more accommodating for our party size, that being five adults and two small children. The service was amazingly quick. Drinks served, bread placed on the tables for all to share with an accompaniment of olive oil and vinegar. We had salads ordered, and those came pretty quickly. We all pretty much ordered pizzas: Diavola, The Colorata, Margarita, Frutti di Mare, and one with Gorgonzola, sausage and mozzarella. We all shared slices and all left with to go boxes. The pizza come in a thin crust form. Good size to share between two, or if multiple pizzas are ordered, everyone will surely get a slice. YouRe definitely not gonna walk away from here hungry. And your wallet won't take an enormous hit as the menu is quite reasonable. For an out of towner it's definitely worth it. Don't get trapped into boring tasteless options that line the mall here, I imagine it's a hot spot for locals too. Not to mention it's a great place to people watch as well. There are basically two kinds of pizza now in Miami. First: the doughy, New York style pizza which, well, I'm from Chicago. Sorry, but I just can't understand doughy pizza. Second: the neopolitan/brick oven style If I have to choose, I'll take the latter. It reminds me more of Chicago style pizza, with a crisp crust (don't be confused, I didn't say Chicago pan pizza which is a different species altogether - but also crusty, not doughy). The problem with the hot brick oven pizza is that the ovens seem to be too hot and the pizza tends to burn. As much as I love charred food... How much do I love charred food? I don't, with the possible exception of marshmallows or hot dogs on a stick over a campfire, I don't. Again, not wanting to go on too much of a rant, being a Chicago boy, a pizza should take AT LEAST 35 to 40 minutes in an industrial Hobart pizza oven to get a crisp, not burned crust and browned, bubbly cheese. Ok, enough about the pizza rant and back to the problems with Spris. Three other times I've been there, I've had mediocre experiences (again with the burnt pizza). The last time, which will be the last time, it went like this: Sit. Sit. Sit. Ah, South Beach. Where DO they train their waitstaff? "Can I take your order?" I'm torn between two selections. The waitress gives me a "what do you like better?" Not helpful or interested, at all. I choose the sliced beef pizza with truffle oil. Sit Sit Sit. Can we get some more...? Uh, where's our waitress. Oh, chatting inside with her homeys. Finally the order arrives. Completely wrong pizza. It's delivered by a runner and I send it back. Sit. Sit. Sit. No word. I see commotion inside but nobody comes out and says anything. My friend is over halfway done with his pizza (about 15 minutes) and finally, our waitress shows up with my correct pizza with a wholly inadequate, "sorry." Before then, she didn't even rear her little gothic head. The pizza. Beef wasn't that good. Seemed like run of the mill cold cut beef. The truffle oil was briefly interesting then just kind of overbearing. Eh. Similar to my past experiences, rates Spris smack dab in the center of "2 stars" or "Meh." read more
