I want to personally recognize Jay (manager) and Royal for going above and beyond in every way possible. I came in after dealing with a frustrating situation over the phone where nothing was getting resolved. Within minutes of working with them, everything changed. They were patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly--they actually cared. They took the time to understand my situation, walked me through everything clearly, and made sure every single issue was handled properly. No rushing, no shortcuts--just real, professional service. What really sets them apart is their dedication. They stayed after closing hours just to make sure I was fully taken care of. That doesn't happen anymore, and it says everything about their character and work ethic. As a business owner, I recognize excellence when I see it--and this was top-tier service. I was so impressed I even offered to buy lunch for the entire staff. That's how much I appreciated the level of care and professionalism. Jay and Royal are a huge asset to Verizon. This was one of the most unprofessional, suspicious, and upsetting experiences I've ever had with any business. I called earlier in the week to ask about repairing a Samsung S25 regular screen. I was quoted $210 flat, and I confirmed this twice over the phone. I was told to come in on Saturday and that walk-ins were fine. When I arrived, they told me they had ordered the S25 Ultra part -- which is not what I requested. The employee then called the person I originally spoke to, and that person insisted I asked for the Ultra. I had very clearly said regular, even double-checking with my husband at the time. They told me they would order the correct part and to come back Tuesday. The person on the phone said they would "take a little off" for the inconvenience. I asked if I needed to sign anything for the deposit and was told no. In the store, the employee refused to honor the discount the phone rep promised. When I asked how much deposit they wanted, he said "any amount." I put down $100 cash. He even questioned whether the bill was counterfeit. I stepped outside to call my husband because the situation felt extremely off. When I went back in and simply asked for a receipt showing my $100 deposit, the employee told me it would cost a 20% surcharge -- $20 -- just to get a receipt. I have never in my life heard of being charged money to receive proof of a deposit. My husband told me to get my money back and leave. I asked for my $100 returned, and luckily they handed it back without further argument. I left immediately and blocked their number. The entire interaction felt extremely fishy, inconsistent, and untrustworthy from start to finish. I genuinely do not understand how this business has a 4.9 rating. My experience was the complete opposite of professional or honest. This felt deceptive at every turn, from misquoting repairs to refusing receipts to contradicting each other's promises. My advice: avoid this place entirely. Based on my experience, I would not trust them with repairs, deposits, or my personal devices.

    In August 2018, I went in to do a trade in on my iPhone 6 to an X. I knew the online trade in value…read moreon the Verizon website was $200 so I asked the lady if it was less than $200 in store. If it was less, I didn't want to do the exchange in store. She told me it was actually $300. Honestly I assumed she misspoke and that it was actually $200. So I continued the transaction and hour later I left with my new phone. Shortly after leaving, I realized that the woman had given me zero paperwork as proof that I had traded anything in at all. I returned to the store and requested the receipt and was denied it. I was told that in about three months it would appear on my account. This was about the moment that I realized this wasn't an ACTUAL Verizon store but an authorized retailer. Which you wouldn't know easily considering the giant sign on the building says VERIZON and nothing else. You have to look at other supplementary smaller signs in the windows to notice. Come December, I finally was able to speak with Verizon and request information regarding the trade in in which I was told I only received $100 for previous phone. I explained to them that that was NOT what I was told in store and that I was also denied my request for proof of the trade-in. They suggested I try to work it out with the store before they stepped in. On December 14th, I called and spoke with the general manager, Landon, who manages both west Dundee and Carpentersville. I explained what happened and he tells me he will look into it and get back to me in a week or two because he's really busy with Christmas shoppers. Fast forward to early January and still no call so I called back. He tells me he is still waiting on "corporate" and will call me back as soon as possible. I call back early February, I'm told the same thing. Now here we are in May. No one has ever bothered to call me back so I will just continue dealing with Verizon directly on the matter on finishing filing a formal complaint. I would stay far away from here if you don't want to be lied to, denied receipts, and then given the run around when you try to question their practices.

They also did not fully explain what they were selling; made it seem as if their "premium service " was part of the package. The salesman told my husband that he had a protection plan on his phone that they transferred to the new phone. I called Verizon directly to ask. Verizon said the protection plan was just added that day. Needless to say, I cancelled it. They also sold us a tablet for $1.00 but never advised that there was a $10 per month cellular charge; then they were going to charge a $75.00 restocking fee to return the tablet. Shopping at this business is not recommended. Please do yourself a favor and shop at Verizon corporate store.

There were a lot of customers in there on a Wednesday night but thankfully there were enough seating areas and seats that we were able to sit while waiting for our turn (avoid mall locations at all costs). Stefan checked us in after we sat for a few minutes. After about a 10-15 minute wait, we were greeted by Stefan who brought us to a table we could sit down at. I love that the tables were small so that it felt like we were in a little private room while we explored our options. Stefan walked us through the entire process, was extremely patient (my parents speak English well, but they have a hard time with hearing it quickly and deciphering the content in the moment). He was a true professional and explained and confirmed everything we asked of him. He definitely deserves a raise and because of this experience, I will go to T-Mobile soon to extend my own contract and add 3 additional lines for my fam.

Their employee Eddie was truly one of the best customer service people I have met in longtime. He was knowledgeable, thorough and made sure we got the best price possible. I have to say we will be coming to this store from now on. The store was clean and well stocked! I wish I could give them 10 stars I would!
