They do a great job at evaluating your pain and treating it. I started as a patient after I threw out my back getting out of bed and they were able to get me back on my feet after two weeks. I've always had back issues, but for the first time in years I'm able to bend over without feeling like my spinal cord is being pulled taught in my lower back. I've also noticed improvement in my neck and shoulders, and I've even had fewer headaches since starting to go here regularly. I initially went for an adjustment weekly, but now I'm able to go once a month just for maintenance. Every visit is so satisfying, I would go more often if my insurance was better. I've even moved across town and make the longer drive to remain a patient here because I like it so much. No other chiropractor could be as good as these folks. When I first came in they gave me a thorough inspection that included an X ray which discovered the root of my issues stemming from my neck. It took a few adjustments and ups and downs pain wise to get aligned properly but now I live pain free. Dr Jenn and Dr Matt relieved pains in my spine that I didn't even know I had because I was living with them for so long. I come in once or twice a month to keep myself aligned and you wouldn't believe the amount of relief and endorphin release you get from a good ol'crackin' at pure life! I can genuinely and honestly say that Pure life has improved my life across the board. I can think clearer, sleep better, perform better both physically and mentally. I usually visit Dr. Jenn and she is a wealth of knowledge beyond spinal issues. My new doctor has requested my xrays and records separately. This was three weeks ago and the new clinic has not received my records. 2) I met with Jen Nyberg at my 1st visit and Paul Yang my 2nd visit. At neither of those visits did they take the time to ask me about why I was seeking chiropractic care or what my symptoms were. 3) They did a full spinal series of xrays 2 days in row. Both times my thyroid was completely uncovered and exposed to the radiation. 4) At my 2nd visit, Paul performed adjustments. Without preparing me, he did the spinal twist to crack my back. I informed him this was incredibly painful and he proceeded to twist and crack my back in the other direction. 5) At beginning of 2nd visit, Paul provided me with a treatment plan. Paul was very fixated on the "S" curve of my spine so I asked if that was the root of my low back pain, to which he responded "I don't know". My treatment felt overall very insincere. I also did not understand how they could create a treatment plan for me without 1) knowing the root of my pain and 2) never taking the time to talk with me.

Dr. Herb is super knowledgeable and takes the time to show genuine concern for not just your injury but you as a person, and he has always been willing to take the time to answer questions. It's always refreshing to have health care providers take the time to make you feel informed and comfortable, and in my experience Dr. Herb has always done that. I've been in for spinal adjustments, tissue work and physical therapy and would recommend all of these services. If you had a poor experience here in the past, I'd encourage you to go back in. Every business has hiccups when they are first starting and I really feel that this business has made great improvements (not that my previous customer-service experiences were ever horrible, they are just more notably warm now). First guy was really kind, professional and gave a…read moregood massage but used knuckles and forearms which I'm just not a fan of, but it's been challenging finding a good fit so I scheduled a bunch more massages. Reception told me one other lady, Reonna roberts, was accepting OHP so I scheduled with her the next day because my back hurts and I need the therapy. Long story short she was totally disrespectful about my preference to stay on my stomach. I explained why, told her I self massage my own pecks daily, told her I have had bad experiences face up massages... She listens to all of this then goes off for a few minutes about how she ALWAYS starts people off face up (lol), and how it "won't work" if she doesn't, that she's never had a complaint. I told her that technique (using the weight of your head for neck work) sounded good and cheerfully agreed to start face up...then she pulls weirdo attitude and says she doesn't want to do anything to make me uncomfortable and we can just do it my way. Ok? So what was her whole little speech about? Then she says if anything is off just say something, I responded that I'm vocal and would let her know and she responded "yeah so you're not just laying there thinking what is this bullshit", and then quickly sashays out of the room before I could even respond because NO, I don't think that at all. It's like she had already made her mind up about me but then still went ahead. My "medical massage" starts 15 min late, and 30 min in I said how awesome the massage was and asked her what days she worked she informed me she wouldn't be giving me another massage lol. I was taken back because I told her I wanted to try her faceup method and was enjoying the massage and told her I didn't understand. She said it's not a good fit, that she has been doing this long enough she has regular clients and doesn't need to change her method for anyone. WTF? She is one of only 2 therapists accepting OHP there and should NOT be offering medical massage if she's this petty and disrespectful of people's boundaries. I stopped the massage right there and complained to managment about it because it was extremely rude and unprofessional. If it was a bad fit, what was she doing touching me in the first place??? She was a full on creep for treating me like that because of a personal preference like not having MY FING CHEST MASSAGED...thanks a lot, "healing space". I told the manager the literal halfass 30 min massage better not show up on my insurance. The creepy thing is I went to write the owner a letter with my copy of all the appointments I canceled and it turns out he's been accused of sexual assault and allegedly ruined some poor ladies business who rented space from him. I looked up "owner of healing space" and it was even in the news. I'm really horrified by this and refuse to support a business where people are disrespected and their personal preferences and boundaries are not only questioned but totally disregarded. Reonna roberts acted passive aggressive, condescending, cold, and totally dismissive, but I'm eternally grateful because had I known about her boss I never would have stepped in that place to begin with.

His staff was…read moregreat and I thought he was too until I spoke with another doc up in the Portland area and found out that we had wasted about 6 months (and 5K) doing IUI. Additionally, I could have stayed with my own gyn practice to do the IUI and not travel down to Eugene every month which was a pain since I live in Corvallis. AND it likely would have been much cheaper. When the IUI wasn't working we had a discussion about what the next step was and he painted a picture about using meds from out of the country to save costs and my risks of having hyperovarian syndrome etc, etc. We overall wasted about a year of precious time (three months to get in to see him then another 6 months of 'treatment') When I went to the other doc up in Portland there was no scary out of the country meds and little risk of hyperovarian syndrome because of my age. I felt poorly treated by Dr. Austin and would not recommend him to anyone. The doc that cannot be beat is Dr. Eugene Stoelk at Northwest Fertility Center.
