The nail polish I chose was light and I thought she'd do a third coat but before I could say anything she was doing the final coat. I hoped I'd get the hand massage since it's my favorite part but all she gave me was a a little oil to moisturize. It felt rushed. My friend waited for her pedicure while we got our nails done. When it was finally her turn the service still felt rushed although there were no other people in the salon. My other friend had a gel manicure as well and her chipped the next day. When we went to pay it was so much more than we expected! ($65 for my gel manicure- bare nails, $90 for a pedicure). Safe to say, we won't be coming back here.

Her technique was unlike anything I've experienced before. She straightened my hair before cutting, which made so much sense, and then cut at all different angles with such precision. She explained her background as she worked, and it was so reassuring to know how much knowledge and artistry she was bringing into every step. On top of her talent, Raquel is an amazing conversationalist. I felt like I was talking to a best friend. She didn't just style my hair--she taught me how to care for it. She walked me through every step so I could replicate the look at home. When I struggled later, she invited me back, showed me again, and even had me practice on my own hair with her guidance.
